Stop RAPING Resident Evil!!!
Wow, you're an idiot. Let me list some of the films I enjoyed that came out this year: V for Vendetta, Over the Hedge, Clerks 2, X-Men 3, Ice Age 2, Curious George.... You're just a troll. I saw both RE films, and I actually liked the second one better than the first (probably because Jill, Carlos, and Tyrant were in it). Carlos and Jill were at least somewhat faithful to their videogame renditions, unlike the Claire and Wesker of this film. I would write more, but I have to catch a flight and I don't have time to elaborate much.
See but how can you know that the characters in this one won't be faithful to their video game versions? Simply because they don't look exactly like them?

Dear Paul W.S. Anderson

Please add Dustin Diamond AKA "Screech" and Gilbert Gottfried to the cast of your movie. I know only their acting talent in conjunction with Ashtanti and your wife Milla Jovovich can stop the Movie "Snakes on a plane" from sweeping the Emmy's. Please Mr. Anderson your our only hope.
Hollywood is pretty shitty right now if you hadn't noticed
They usually manage to keep me entertained. Then again, I don't go into every movie with super high expectations, just the hope that I see something interesting, entertaining, or fun within the 2 hours or so that I'm sitting in the seat.

I haven't seen the 2nd RE movie but I did enjoy the first to some extent. Definetly not a favorite but I would watch it again. And I look forward to this one so :p As a side note, I haven't kept up with the RE series as far as games go so I could probably care less if the movies go along with it.

After only reading a few posts, I guess the reason why I don't really mind much about the plot of the 3rd one is that I honestly haven't played past the first RE. Yeah yeah, I know I know, I'm a lame ass.

You liked V for Vendetta and X-men 3?

So it's OK to make a complete hash of comics which actually lend themselve to cinematic versions but video games are expected to be spot on?

You've got to be kidding.

maybe in this next one alice and tyrant will have a monsters ball moment of passion and then she will get an oacar for the scene even though it has nothing to do with the overall story. thats the only thing i could think of that coul redeem this putrid seris at all and maybe some hott girl on girl zombie action.

and re 4 could be done as its own movie separate from the other re films easily enough by using a dream sequence at the beginning of the films showing highlights of leons actions in the previous games and his being hired to save the presidents daughter and then you have him suddenly wake up during the final battle in re 2 and have him crossing the bridge and stop in front of the house at the beginning of the game and go from there.

it depends on who plays Belmont (Im not going to say Simon because he's not the first Belmont to encounter Dracula)

Some fans need to smack Anderson in the face and really give him a history on castlevania.

youre not missing anything re 2 was crap. the acting was crap the characters were crap the weird camera shots were crap. the only thing that looked remotely good was tyrant but even he looking like a giant monster toy. and then they throw in the random black guy for comedy releif who feels the need to crack jokes at the dumbest times jokes that arent ever funny.

not to insult anyone here but i cant see how anyone could like the re films. even if you ignore the franchise theyre based on they are complete crap for zombie movies and for horror movies. but im not surprised they do the bare minimum to get the movie out there and make back more than what they put into it so it will never end. its just like the war on drugs there are a million ways to win it and beat it but because theres so much money to be made there will never be an end to it.

I agree, the Resident Evil movie series is terrible enough on its own, but to add that it represents a game series with a decent story makes it even worse.

After the Silent Hill movie, I don't care anymore about VG movies. Christ, that was finally a chance to make a better VG movie, and it was still a major mess. I thought both RE movies were terrible, and have no faith in part 3, and I'm just dead neutral on Castlevania. It's hard to mess up a Man VS Dracula movie, but it'll be done wrong somehow. I'm not going to bother seeing RE3 in theaters.
