Strell's Lowball: Slowly sending packages out. Thanks everyone!

Just got back from PO.

Had a wild adventure there. The guy helping me with media mail stuff must have been some sort of secret ninja commando clerk, because the mailjitsu he worked in getting all of them stamped and sent was revolutionary. I think he might even kill people at night under the shadow of stars.

I have to PM several people. Which is sort a fun thing to do on my birthday. Hooray!

Happy birthday!

Assuming that today is your birthday, and we won't be waiting for several more months for the PMs to arrive...

(Kidding, of course! Get some cake and enjoy yourself already!~)

Yar, it is actually my bday. So many good things happen on 9/9, and another good thing happened years ago. :]

This is all assuming I don't bring destruction to this world at some point in my life, which I don't think I will.

So thanks everyone!

/gets back to work on stuff

I am still in the process of sending out PMs right now regarding various details. Should be all done for now.

Given this rate, everything could be finished up within a few days at the most. The only exception at this point is Jack, but he and I know the reason for this.

Just wanted to give a big update. Thanks everyone!

Edit: Contacted by sooners. Had to update second list. My bad!

Dreamcast launch?

No, seriously. Did you get a Dreamcast for your birthday when it was first released? That would've been awesome! Heck, it would still be awesome to get a Dreamcast for your birthday now... so 10 years ago it would've been exponentially more awesome.

Oh, you know it.

I came home from school and there it was, along with Soul Calibur. Buddies and I went out and got a second controller and played the hell out of that game. Grabbed Sonic Adventure soon after, which I still think is a decent game despite what everyone else said.

All of this was almost as awesome as when I got an SNES on my birthday in third grade. :] That day at school didn't exist 'cuz I was far too excited to come home and play SMW.

Ah, memories.

THANK YOU! Sonic Adventure is one of the best games for dreamcast and probably in my top 10 list. Soul Calibur is still my favorite of the 4 :D Except it would always get stuck when i had to fight Sophitia :wall:

Anyways, happy birthday!!!

Avast matey,
Who be ye calling a landlubber, I go fishing every year with the River Pirate ;)
Happy belated birthday Strell, so have you joined the near the top of the hill gang yet or are you just a wee snapper? Just received your PM via e-mail and decided to log on tonight to thank you when I noticed that your birthday was yesterday.

Awesome news!! A quick reminder, however, that I haven't paid (or been billed) yet.

I only mention this to ensure that:
(a) Our records match, so you don't accidentally send stuff that isn't paid for.
(b) You haven't slipped into my bank account like the Lowball Ninja you are, and freed the appropriate funds already. Cuz then I'd be scared... especially since all my money is invested in "Official Bank of Under My Mattress Next to That Old Porno Mag" and I don't want Strell's lobsters anywhere near there. (Keep your damn shellfish off from my pillow, for the last time!)

No rush on my part, but let me know when you have the bill. :p

(Edited for terrible grammar and spelling. It probably still doesn't make sense...)

I assume he knows that since I haven't received an invoice either. And yes, i'm scared of Strell's lobsters too which is why I haven't been pushing him to hurry up ;)

Package received and (positive) feedback left.
Thanks for a great lowball and first CAG buying experience.

Yours will be the claw by which all lobsters are measured.

Thanks again, and happy belated birthday!

A couple of people have received their stuff from the last wave. Excellent!

Packages sent out recently:
 • ejamer
 • spike32
 • EarthboundX5 (second package)
 • soonersfan60

Have spoken with MrNEWZ in regards to his stuff, so that's coming along.

Have to contact Bragarb07 tonight in regards to his stuff.

The other people - JJSP, koretex, ZeroTypeX, Blade, ctclements, visual_death - haven't responded lately, but I'm not in any rush so I can't expect them to be. Will probably send generic PMs asking for an update.

Thanks everyone!

And koretex and JJSP's packages are now en route.

People who remain: ZeroTypeX, Blade, ctclements, visual_death, Bragarb07

Oh, and Jack, but he's a special case.

Bragarb's was going to go out today, but the mail clerk could tell I had turned a USPS Priority mail shipping box inside out, and then said I'd owe big time. Damn her ninja like abilities.

Other than that, serious home stretch territory at this point.

Ha! Crazy she caught that!

Got my package. Very pleased the GBA boxes were safe and very good condition.
Thanks for the game cases too. I think that's what they are. :)

I'm confused? So you got semi-bitched at for turning a priority box inside out?! There is nothing I know against that, in fact I've been told by multiple post offices to do that if I don't intend to ship priority.

EDIT: Oh and to anyone waiting still, I got my first box today. So stop complaining at Strell (even though it seems most complaining already stopped, lol)

You've been told that by postal employees that dont care, the USPS Priority Mail boxes are free only for that service; however, enforcement is spotty as you have seen.

What are you talking about? Priority boxes are not free. I was assuming Strell wasn't stealing (which I doubt he was) and was using old used priority boxes, getting bitched at for that. The postal employees I always deal with are overly-bureaucratic, so I doubt they "dont care".

Oh, and I got my second package today.

Umm, USPS Priority Mail boxes are indeed free, in fact if you set up an account on USPS.com they will deliver them to you for free as well. USPS does this to encourage use of the more expensive priority mail.

The boxes are free; you can order as many as you'd like for free (I had a friend who ordered 500 medium flat rate boxes, and it didn't cost him a cent). You are not allowed to flip them inside out, but the Postal employees don't always catch it, so you can get away with it. ;)

Well I guess thats nice to know, odd that they seem to charge for them at the post office though (maybe I was wrong), either way my statement regarding turning them inside out never being called on for me still stands.

On my way to send out:
 • Bragarb07 (had some issues with it last week, heh)
 • ctclements
 • Blade
 • ZeroTypeX

Once this is done, should only leave visual_death, MrNEWZ, and Jack (who has been reserved for last, through an agreement he and I have).

EarthboundX5: I'm looking for the GC battery brackets/screws. I know I saw them during the lowball, so they can't be far, but I guess I forgot to include them.

Got my stuff today Strell, and it all looked great! I wish I woulda picked more up from your sale, but I was worried too much with mine at that point... Well, when "Strell Deux Lowball Part Ni: The Revenge of One Ball Pete's Itchy Barnacles" rolls around, maybe I'll get a few more items!

Hey Strell, I got my package everything's great...Though I did learn a lesson, some memories should be left alone lest they become harsh realities.

Good night sweet memories of Game Gear.

Also, I left feedback for you.

Just a heads up:

Going out of town in about an hour, will return tomorrow afternoon. I've heard back from visual_death, which is good.

I should also be caught up on feedback, but I'm not entirely sure. It's difficult to keep track of, but I'm fairly certain.

Also, Frankski: Your payment showed up yesterday, in case you read this.

Thanks everyone!

One of the final updates:

Sent off MrNEWZ and visual_death earlier today. Going to drop Jack's off very soon, and then we should be entirely done, barring the final few things like feedback and so forth.

Mother-Bitchin congrats, Strell. It's been a long process for you with a bumpy little area where a couple guys weren't happy with the wait, but in the end, you pulled through and made every single person happy. If you're ever wanting to do another, we could try to do em at the same time again ;)... I'd pretty much put everything up, including The Ugly Box, which is a very shoddy looking box with a hinged lid and "UGLY BOX" carved into the top, used for transporting drum sticks. Shipping would be a vag and a half, though.
Wow. Does Canada use rocket-equipped giraffes to deliver their mail?
Only when they heard Strell was involved ;)

Any update on the battery brackets/screws?

I haven't been able to find them, no. I know at some point they were inside one of the clear GBA cases I had, but it hasn't turned up.

alright, well PM when ya find em or whatever, lol

Quite possibly one of the final updates!

Sending out Jack's package tomorrow. He has been the pinnacle of patience, but it did help to let everything else die down so I could deal with his requests more directly, which is something he and I discussed at the conclusion of the sale.

Everyone else should have their things by now, but I can't confirm everything until someone either leaves feedback or contacts me. Even by media mail standards, all people should have their stuff by now, with the potential exception of Bragarb, since I don't know how long it takes stuff to get to Argentina. But given the relative speed my Canadian friends showcased, I imagine he's got his stuff by now.

EarthboundX5: I still cannot find the GC battery screws. I will look one more time, but I've turned this room upside down at least three times, and it's been cleaned as well in the interim. So I don't know what you think about that.

Otherwise, if anyone else needs anything, please contact me.

Thanks again everyone!

So Strell, did ya see your one man Lowball highest gross ever was overtaken by Saetia? Well, if you're looking for vengeance, you can lowball a date with me. Dinner, movie, and maybe some GTL baby!!! That'd fetch a few (hundred) dollars (I hope...)!!!
