I know this topic has been made several times before so dont flame me. Im just bored wanna talk about somthin. Post what u think are the most undderrated games for the system u own.

Heres mine:
Xbox: Cabellas Deer hunt 2004, Beyond good and evil, Disneys extreme skate adventure(in a sort of "when you're drunk" kind of way), Jedi Outcast.

Snes: Shaq-Fu

N64: Battletanx

Freedom Fighters was totally under-rated. Computer and team squad AI were both very good. Missions were challenging and very fun. I'm hoping for a sequel.

The Wipeout Series always seemed underrated.

Pretty much everything on the Dreamcast. I'm thinking Record of Lodoss War in particular.

Everblue 2 (PS2) - open-ended and Japanese weird concept
Deus Ex: The Conspiracy (PS2) - for those who never played PC Deus 1 -- like me when I first played it.

Diablo (PSone) - great port w/two-player simultaneous

Mars Matrix (Dreamcast) - my favorite shooter in the last 5 years

Pokemon Snap (N64) - great concept well executed.

Mario's Picross (Game Boy) - my favorite puzzle game of all time

King's Bounty (Genesis) - strategy RPG, and one of my favorites of all time.

Neutopia - Turbografx-16 (like Zelda but more worlds/flames)

And finally...
most Atlus games, as they're almost always very limited in print run. Examples: Double Dragon Advance, Cubivore, Hoshigami, etc.

Pretty much every release for the Dreamcast IMO, save for maybe a couple high-profile titles (Shenmue, Soul Calibur, etc.). Especially near the system's end. There were tons of great titles that got overlooked in the final 12-14 months of the DC's days.

hell yes it was.

Any game in the Ogre Battle series, specifically Ogre Battle 64. Also, mentioned in the puzzle thread by someone else: No One Can Stop Mr. Domino! was a lot of fun.

SNES:

-Spanky's Quest
-Biker Mice From Mars (a cross between Rock N' Roll Racing and Super Mario Kart)
-Dino City

N64:

Blast Corps
Micro Machines 64 Turbo

Playstation:

Qix Neo

Playstation 2:

Rayman 2

PC: Operation Flashpoint

This game is crazy, you can fly helicopters and drive tanks and cars. It's hard as hell but the game is so huge it makes you feel like you are really outside.

I agree, I thought they were making a sequel.

I also agree with BG&E although I would call it more underappreciated (to the general public, not here) than underrated.

Wall Street Kid- NES Something about a little kid amassing tons of cash by selling stocks always intrigued me.

Also agree about Freedom Fighters, great game, great challenge.

Armada (DC) A very deep and fun game, especially with two or more players. A sequel is scheduled to hit in Nov., but the combination of a paucity of information and constantly changing release dates and system changes (it was originally going to be on the DC) does not sound promising. However, should it be released, and it is only a slight improvement over it's predecessor, it would still be worth checking out.
Also, Tiger Woods from 2003 on, though this series is starting to get popular, so probably no longer under aprreciated.
Virtua Fighter is another really good series that, while a huge hit in Japan, never caught on in this country. Not as flashy as DOA, and not as popular as Tekken, but remains the best 3-d fighting engine ever. It's simple enough to pick up and play, yet deep enough to reward mastery. The character balance is near perfect, if you know how to use your fighter. Also, the combos make sense, and are not just long strings of memorization, like Tekken, MK, and many other fighters.

Armada was pretty cool. I definitely enjoyed it.

Virtua Fighter is definirely underappreciated. it's the deepest 3D fighter ever made. I'm still amazed that people bother with Tekken, when VF is an option.
For some reason, I fell in love with Shadowgate64, although hardly anybody else liked it. R4wk on!!!
You-know-who loves that game.

Sega Saturn:
Burning Rangers
Powerslave (also on PC)
Working Design RPG's
Tempest 2000

PC:
Shadow Warrior (Who wanta some Wang?)
Shogo

Shenmue 1 and 2. They were high profile, but didn't sell well. Sure they weren't perfect; they were extremely linear (some Knights of the Old Republic - style choices would be ideal here), had crappy RE style controls (Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry style would be a better choice), and often was not clear what you needed to do next, but they were on to something that really hadn't been done before, and had the series continued to grow, would likely have evolved into something great.

Panzer dragoon series (SS/Xbox): Intriguing story and fun to play.

Herwog swei (Genesis): Fun game and multiplayer rocks.

Dynamite Headdy (Genesis): Unknown action platformer made by treasure.

Chu chu rocket (DC/GBA): AWESOME multiplayer

Snk vs Capcom card fighter (Neo Geo pocket) : Fun game even though it easy but playing against a friend was sweet.

Ring of Red (Ps2): Fun-tatic  game.

Don't know if you young folks remember this but MC KIDS on the NES was an awesome platformer. My brother and I played it silly. We still have it, and i hear its even semi valuable. Good game tho.

PlayStation: Incredible Crisis. A collection of mini-games connected by a hilarious plot involving an otherwise normal Japanese family caught in a day full of bizarre events including alien invasion, bank robbery, and more!

Saturn: Deep Fear. A Resident Evil clone set against a backdrop similar to James Cameron's "The Abyss". You play an ex-SEAL with a baggage from the past who now work as the head of security in an underwater research facility. When a nuclear sub went out of control and damages your facility, all hell broke loose. This game was never released in the US, but the JP import is fully spoken in English, so you won't have trouble understanding the story. Score by Kenji Kawai (Ringu, Patlabor).

Dreamcast: Illbleed. The steep learning curve turned a lot of people off. For those who persisted and cleared the game once, the replay gets increasingly fun as you upgrade your characters. A must-have for those sick of the survival horror genre taking itself too seriously and those who appreciate B-horror movies type of humor.

PS2: Shadow of Destiny. Your character was murdered in a little German town, but was given a chance to go back in time and prevent your own murder. However, with each successive prevention, another murder of yours takes place, and you have to travel throughout time to find out what is happening. Multiple endings all fit together like pieces to a puzzle, the complete story is not revealed until you have unlocked all the endings.

Most of these are probably more underappreciated and/or underhyped than underrated. But I guess it's the same basic concept...

NES - Faxanadu, Kid Icarus (most have heard of it but not actually played it)

SNES - Earthbound, Terranigma, The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, Plok

PSX - Um Jammer Lammy, Brave Fencer Musashi

PC - Ultima I-VII, Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1 and 2, System Shock 1 and 2, NOLF 1 and 2

PS2 - Summoner, Way of the Samurai 1 and 2, Mark of Kri

GC - Summoner 2, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
