Suikoden V $29.99 shipped at Outpost

sigh...Backordered for me also...

I've never ordered anything online that was backordered, does anyone have any idea how long it'll take before it comes back in stock?

It better come in before the middle of next month because by that time I'll need another game to play after finishing KH:II.
 
The nearest Fry's around me is about 3 hours away so that's out of the question, haha.

Well, normally I'd be pretty mad but KH2 is due tomorrow so it's cool. XD
 
Restock time varies, I remember ordering the Saikano DVD set and it took them about a month to get back stock. Still - they came through even though it was most likely a pricing error.
 
From my experience with Suikoden series, they start out $39.99, and drop to $19.99 and then go out of market. If you have the patience, getting @ $19.99 before they disappear is the best DEAL :)

Suikoden III and IV did the same thing!

Some of us are not so patient. ;) And a better deal would be to pick it up during a B2G1 free, if you don't mind getting it used.

And my example of the Saikano DVDs is just that - ONE example. As the game is a new release I wouldn't expect them to get a new shipment in soon.

Yeah, 8 years from now I'll open a box and be like "the fuck is this?" Then I'll see Suikoden V in there and sell it on Ebay for $300. I can't wait.

outpost always puts new releases on backorder. For the most part they are really good at getting the orders out within a week or two tops after release. They have gotten a lot better. I haven't had any nightmare stories with outpost and I am sure this will get sent out to everyone soon.

Just to be clear -- you cannot be really good at anything when it takes a week or two to send out an order. They might have gotten better, but they've still got a long way to go.
 
I just tried to get this but it shows up as $39.99 on checkout. I called and ordered it over the phone for $29.99 with the free shipping. Yay! Thanks OP! Their hold music is wicked. Reminded my of Yanni :)

it's really good for them is what I should have said. ;)

I think most people on here know what they are getting into when they order from outpost. As tough as it is, I just accept the inevitable delay and wait it out.

On a side note, to be honest I would rather deal them than Gamestop.
 
Hopefully we won't have to wait long... my Metal Gear Acid 2 and Katamari orders are apparently getting ready to ship, and I only had to wait a week and a half after release.

Thinking positively, by the time this comes I'll have finished Kingdom Hearts 2.

Hopefully I'll have made some progress on my thesis and gotten most of it out of the way so I can play w/ a clear conscience. Pfft, as if that's really gonna happen.

Just to let you guys know, you're in for a great game. This one is up there with Suikoden II imo, and that's saying a LOT coming from me. Well worth the $40 I paid, but then I'm a sucker for the pre-order stuff. ;)
 
Wow. Just checked my status and my copy's shipped too. I've gotta finish up DDS (which has picked up, thankfully) and Metal Gear Acid so then I'll have time for this.
 
Got this in my hands... I have no more stuff on order from anywhere, so I don't have to be concerned about getting my various orders screwed up for a while.
