I've been curious about Fighting Spirit for a long ass time... is it like a japanese rocky? if so, I'm sold.

I like the stick. Bold move to go with 2 stupid dogs :)

Anyone get the feeling that alot of fighters are losing their "Arcade" feel? Ever since capcom has stopped their vs. games (or 2d games all together...) seems like not many fighters have the quick get up and go feel... I know I'm wrong, but somewhere I'm right... and yes, SNK is an exception.

Fighting Spirit is like Rocky if Stallone not only spoke Japanese, but could form a sentence.

I mean, it's sorta like Rocky, but it's much, much better honestly. The show is 76 episodes long so you'd probably expect it to drag in parts, but it's fantastic the whole way through. And it's inspirational.
 
Ippo is great... the Anime ends way too early, the manga story is very very good... I'm a big fan of the series!

The anime ends at about volume 33 of the manga, the manga is now at 76 or 77 volumes...

I'm getting rid of my copy of Tekken DR for the PSP... might as well offer it up here before it goes on Ebay. Any takers, or does everyone already have it thanks to Markman and Rolento's endless Tekken discussions? :lol:

also, already confrmed for Tekken 6 on PS3: Tekken Bowl is back but adds some tentacle rape and furry orgasm pins to spice things up. Not to mention Devil Jin has a new move called 'Breast Milk'....

And it also turns out that the 3rd character aka "MANLY MAN" showed up in the AOU2007 trailer, but most ppl didn't notice it!

Also, the new character's fighting style/movement is something COMPLETELY new to the Tekken series...

also, Jin winning was no surprise... ever since everyone got around to his ending, most conclusions pointed to that. I'm fucking happy that was cannon now. Jin becoming the big shot just rewrites how awesome the kazama/mishimas are...

seems also that the goal of Iron Fist Tournament #6 is not to win the tournament, but to capture Jin... I'm guessing mishima shareholders aren't happy and want him for dead.

hmmm... I feel weird saying this (oddly I'm part puerto rican so um... butt cakes) , but he looks either spaniard or mexican... he's probably like michelle, a mix of japanese with something else. Rico Suave!

That would be cool. As a mexican american it would be great to finally see a mexican in a fighter who isn't a wrestler.

So anyone playing Fist of the North Star? Game is really good, kinda has an 80's feel to it. I'm going to check the game's faq though since I'm having trouble with some of the moves.

Mine just arrived, and suffice to say, I wa shock and the sky falls with love.

I'm keen to develop some skills with Souther, but it'll take some dedication as he doesn't seem to have a lot of range, so I'm guessing a lot of his game comes from pitbulling and projectile lockdown.

I'll definitely stick with it, but I'm definitely getting traction more readily with Kenshiro. Heaven Breaking Stance -> Heaven's Impalement -> Hundred Crack Fist = Epic win.

The FAQs for Fist on GameFAQs are really good, and well worth checking out.

The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 came to a close. The final battle was against the sponsor of the tournament, Jinpachi Mishima, from which Jin Kazama came away the victor.

Becoming the president of the Mishima Zaibatsu, Jin immediately began various programs within the company and converted the Tekkenshu into a spy project. People began to suspect a darkness in Jin, leading to increased tension, infighting and finally a full-scale war. The whole world was drawn in, and when the nations began losing power, the Zaibatsu, able to gain a profit from the potential of war, announced its independence and declared war on the entire world.

Initially the Mishima Zaibatsu was a formidable enemy, but then G Corporation rose to the position of the main opposition to the Zaibatsu. The world saw the rival company as the savior, and endorsed them completely in their drive to suppress the Zaibatsu. Eventually, G-Corporation announced that the president of the Mishima Zaibatsu was the root cause of the war and promises an immense amount of money to anyone who can capture Jin Kazama alive.

But almost as if anticipating this move, the Mishima Zaibatsu announced the opening of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6. People may enter to gain fame, money and (unintelligible). In the midst of this chaos, the curtains rise on the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6.

sounds awesome for a storyline to me... full scale war (the tank stage makes sense now) and Jin a bastard.
 
I should wonder what's on this FOTNS bonus disc. It's included inside of the game, so it's not necessarily limited right now. IT's a DVD video, but perhaps it has some interactive shit on the PS2? We do not know these things.

I nearly died on my way running to the door to where the UPS guy dropped the package off.
 
Guys, FOTNS has the full YOU WA SHOCK intro. This is now legendary material. It doesn't use the shitty animation from the TV series either -- this looks like the stuff we had in Guilty Gear's intro. But more masculine.

Oh, and more seriously, if you were on the fence with this... get off the fucking fence and go get this. I haven't been this happy about an ultra-hyped up fighting game since KOF XI.

Got in Tokyo a couple days ago. I haven't had a chance to really buy anything or go to thr arcades (too busy sight seeing and enjoying the Sakuras), But I did play Melty Blood and my cousin's place. Very cool game, I'm gonna offer him $30 for it since he doesn't play it anymore. And from what I hear FOTNS is pretty bad ass. I saw advertisments for it here. I'm sure to pick it up soon.

Also, huge help to me if anybody can help... actually gargantuan help...

I'm making an interactive art piece for a possible video exhibition show (it's also covering some homework I'm doing) and I am in need of two things:

Sound Clips of the SFA3 announcer guy (anything he says... "Go For Broke!" and all that good stuff)

and

animated gifs of the pre match loading (you know where it's a huge ass A, X, or V that rolls in) and the round counter thingy animation (where when each round is about to begin it displays "ROUND" horizontal and "(the round #)" vertically...


basically, I just started playing SFA3 and like alot of the menu and interface elements and wanted to study them...

Rolento, just mod that shit. You know you're getting a PS3 soon, so why not enjoy the PS2 more right now? Seriously, my shelf has all these imports on it and I can't imagine not having access to all these good games.
 
Man, I need to get a fuckin' HRAP for my PS2. I need to use the stick to play fighting games now, but the fucking ball on the joystick for my Tekken stick keeps fucking twisting off. It's annoying as fucking hell. So I need to either find a way to fix this fucking stick or find some place that's selling a HRAP... or maybe I should get a custom stick? I don't even know.

u shoulda said so earlier, my cousins went to japan this week (to hang out w/ rodimus jk~!) and I told him to get me some parts (hopefully!!!!!)

I coulda told him to get another stick & I can send it your way, maybe I can email him if he hasnt gotten them yet.

Chacrana, here is how ya fix it...

Get a Philips screwdriver and unscrew the bottom metal plate... then use the a nut driver to open up the rest of the stick... once you get to the actual stick mechanism, get a flathead screwdriver and affix it to the bottom of the arcade stick... then screw the ball top on tight... it should never come off again. :)

Its an easy fix! I cringe everytime I see ppl do something like glue the ball tops on or something.. X_X...
