Went to gamestop.com and nothing new but put in my zip code and found
a ton of used Metroid Prime Trilogy for 39.95 and in stock. Otherwise bay
cheepest I can see right now is 68.99.
Don't trust that. I've been looking through various games and it says that EVERYTHING used is "in stock" at all the stores. Their store inventory search used to actually be good but now it's completely useless.

Wonderful. My environmentally friendly case for Super Mario All-Stars already has a puncture in it. Brand new, sealed in a box, two cases back-to-back, and already damage to the cover art.
First time El Hoarder, picked up 7 copies.
Why post that here? It's only going to ignite flaming directed at you and derail the thread.

this thread seems like almost nothing but derail

The Wal-marts in my area had no idea what it was. Target had about 10-15. Sold out within an hour or so. Best Buy's in my area still seem in stock online.

Amazon prices are high already, eBay seems the place to get it at or near retail if you don't have it in a B&M.

The major flippers will make a $10ish bucks on each one probably between now and Xmas, the real flipping will be in a year or two when people will pay $100 for it. Heck, people were (and have) paid $70 for pre-orders of it from people who didn't even have it in hand - although Nintendo will most certainly release the game again (the fact it's in it's own case and the only thing on the case that ID's it as a LE is the 25th anniversary logo in the top corner which could be easily removed), this package won't be.

I like how the two sets of discs inside are individually shrink wrapped - I opened the game but I really couldn't care less about the other one - I don't think I'd have any fun sitting and listening to a CD of game music, and I know Mario's history (I've been with him through all of it), so I'm just leaving that one sealed so I'll sell it once the regular edition of SMAS comes out without it.
Anyone know how many tracks are on the CD?
20 tracks: 10 music and 10 sound effects. So, effectively a scant 10 tracks.

But of course, I can't wait to bump those sounds effects in my car...

Here's what I saw yesterday:

Target: sold out (around 1pm)

GameStop: 3-5 copies in front of the register—might have had more elsewhere, such as behind the register (around 3pm)

Best Buy: around five copies on the shelf at the Wii display—might have had more elsewhere (around 4pm)
I asked to have the thread moved out of deals section, if a question like that is dismissed as "inane", then you're acting like a true moderator. And no, that's not a compliment.
Yeah, it makes no sense. I'll just make this my last post in this thread since I have no idea what "on topic" means given what posts were deleted and what posts remain. The best is, like you said, this thread doesn't even belong in the deals section based on the thread title. Is the topic that it's $29.99? Yeah... that's called retail price. Great "deal".

Actually, it makes more sense for people to start discussing rarity and potential future value since the only thing that can justify this thread's existence in the "deals" section is that $29.99 is a "deal" in relation to future value.
No co-op in any of the games. Except for in battle mode on SMB3 you take turns in two player.
Do you happen to know if you trade off the same controller or if you need two?
Like this!

I guess mine is generic
:(
So the gift card can be used at Babies R Us too?
Do you happen to know if you trade off the same controller or if you need two?
I thought all the games except US super mario 2 were two player, just not simultaneous.

Edit: sorry, double post.
and I know Mario's history (I've been with him through all of it),
Maybe you should stop getting your ass kidnapped every game, eh?
My Amazon order hasn't shipped. The delivery date is still Wednesday cause of Prime, so I'm hoping it's just a matter of time.
same
if i preordered i am guranted it pretty much right? They dont just oops were out do they?
Depends on where you ordered it.

If it's Gamestop, it's a possibility.

If it's Amazon - .0000000000000000001% chance.
I have prime and mine shipped out on Sat.
Same here. And it's already out for delivery.

I had pre-ordered mine from GS in mid November and also wanted to pick up 1 from Kmart as a gift for my sis, I had to work and did not get off till 730pm I went to Kmart 1st, they had 6 in the case, no prob.

Went to GS by my house and picked up no problem and I asked about demand and she said I was the only one who pre-ordered it besides herself. they had 4 extra copies and only sold 2.

I can see this box set being limited to the holiday season but probably they will just release the all stars disc for $20 after the holidays.

Went to Walmart today and they had 1 left in the case.
Hey Josh, do you know if there will be a coupon deal for mass effect 2 on ps3 which comes out Jan 18th?
wrong thread, there is no Josh, only Zuul
wrong thread, there is no Josh, only Zuul
Rally? I thought Josh did the kmartgamer stuff cause his information is at the beginning of the forum post. Well Zuul then do you know if there will be a mass effect 2 coupon for ps3?

Called my local TRU since I figured I'd grab a second as a gift and nab the GC and they informed me they have 44 in stock. It may be holiday release only, but it's not nearly as limited as people are speculating

I was out with my wife last night and we ended up stopping at a Best Buy. I was curious about the availability of this game so I checked the Wii section to see if they had any. They had 20-30 copies of it out on the shelf... picked 1 up. Highly doubt this game is going to be "rare"; pick it up to play the games and because it's Mario's birthday :)

I was thinking this as well, as both the All-Stars game case and the bonus disc case have unique UPC codes, as opposed to the same UPC code as the outer box or no UPC code at all. The packaging is already in order to be sold separately.

I got my one copy and I'm happy with that.

Josh just posted a note in the K-Mart thread that he received an e-mail from Nintendo this morning saying they were officially sold out. Looks like it actually WAS one shipment and done.

Mine's ready to be picked up at bestbuy, was a little worried they wouldn't come through but yay.

Man, some jerks are already selling it on amazon for a premium. fuck those guys.

$30 for what should be a $8 VC game -_-;

The sad part is that I'm really tempted to buy it, just for the fact that'll it'll probably be $50+ in a few months time.

Just figured I would let all you Michigan peole know, I went to Gamestop in Madison Heights/Troy (not in the Oakland Mall, the one across the street) and they guy said they only got enough for the preorders and wouldn't get more in. But then I went to best Buy in Madison Heights and they had what looked to be like 30 of them sitting on the shelves. So I picked my up there.

So I went into the Culver City Toys R Us this morning, and upon asking if they have any copies of SMAS in stock, the clerk tells me, "some guy came in and bought all 20 copies we had left last night. We originally got in about 30 or so and he cleaned us out, but we should have more this afternoon."

El Hoardo strikes again...but good luck cornering the market on a release I'd wager was upwards of 10 million copies.

So if this is a one shipment and done for Nintendo, then it will indeed be a limited item. Even if your store has 50 or more, think about the bigger picture of that. Once those are gone they're probably gone for good. The fact that so many speculated that it'd be limited and bought a bunch is no doubt helping supply to diminish quicker too. Assuming it is a one and done, you probably won't find them anywhere in a month or two.
