Super Puzzle Fighter II TURBO HD Remix 360 *Tournament Died :(

It's only one to chat, whether you hit LT or RT. Even so, really stupid feature, especially when there's a toggle to turn voice chat on or off to begin with..
 
Alright, here is what I would like to do for the tournament...

If you are interested in participating either post in this thread or PM with your XBL gamer tag and your score from ranked X' matches. I will use the score to seed everyone. You can find your score out by going to the leaderboards in the game.

The tournament will start next a week from today. It will be your responsibility to check this thread and see who you have to play and arrange a match with that person. Here are the settings everyone should use during their match:

Player Match
Rounds: 5
# of Players: 2
Private Slots: 1
Voice Chat: Optional

There will be no character restrictions as this is X' mode and you will not be restricted to one character throughout the tournament. You will have approx. 36-48 hours to arrange your match, so you'll only have to set aside 15 minutes in a 2 day period.

Wednesday September 12 10pm PST will be the deadline to register for the tournament. By Wednesday night or Thursday next week I will post the brackets for the tournament. At that time you will be able to arrange your match. BOTH players need to PM or post the results of their match.

The tournament will likely culminate sometime during the week of the 16th, depending on how many entrants there are. There will be a Championship match and a 3rd place match. The winner will be crowned "Cheap Ass Gamer Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix X' Mode Champion" or CAGSPF2THDRXMC. Cheapy has assured me there will no prizes only the respect of your comrades.

If you have any comments, suggestions or concerns please let me know before the registration deadline and I will be more than happy to help in anyway that I can.
 
I would want to compete in the tourney but my schedule is all over the place. I would end up just pissing my opponent off because I can't commit to anything.

just to be clear, your score is not the same as your record. it should appear to the left of your record and be in the thousands.
 
i want in, gt: elsnow77 and score: about low 2000's. Although, i will probably play some more before the 12th so that might go up or down
 
Does anyone else have problems connecting to other players?
I can't connect to some people on my friends list...yet, with others...no problem.
It only appears to be an issue with this game.
 
put me down for the tourney!....but im a little ashamed to post my record. I think im like 4-9 overall.....but im 1-0 this week! (definitely gonna be a bye for some higher seed player but oh well...at least itll be a CAG and not some random douche)

i havent had any problems as far as connecting with people on my friends list. sometimes, i have a problem when connecting from the search, but friends has always been smooth for me.

I have, but I think it's a just how my network is setup (my 360 is connected through my iMac's wireless/Airport). It is only with this game though. If I play Forza, Gears, Madden, everything works pretty fine. Weird. Maybe it's just my friend's connection? =p
 
Yeah. I noticed that too. They probably picked him cause he has a great pattern/Akuma is just cool. I wonder if they even realize that he takes 120% in X' mode.

dont forget he only gives 85% damage...


i think i should extend the deadline to enter the tournament, only a handful have responded
 
It's never gonna finish any how, only the hockey and Uno tournament have gone to a finish.

But since I'm a glutton for punishment and hope that it will go all the way to the end, I'll add my name to the list.

Actually, Akuma does 100% damage in X' mode. Because of that, his drawback is the 120% damage received. Devilot is the only one that does 85% damage and her defense isn't nerfed in any way.

In X mode, Akuma and Devilot both do 70% damage in exchange for the best drop patterns in the game.
