Hmmm i got it easy in the jungle japes melee level, just jump in the water and let the tide kill you. Only takes about 3 minutes worth of doing that. lol.


Any tips on enduring a 15 minute brawl? I think my best was lasting up till 9 minutes left and then i died.

Hehe, I tried this last night and had 12 minutes left when I died. 15 seems impossible to me. And I was doing the Charizard ->B thing. The problem is, in between attacks the CPU hammers on you. So it must take more than just "spamming" that attack - same for the Boss Battles I would imagine. You guys make it sound so easy but it must involve a lot of other tactics too.

Last night I saw the challenge so I did a normal brawl with three CPUs for 15 minutes. After doing so did I find out that a 15 minute brawl is actually something you have to select, and is actually difficult to do. I got kind of tired during the 15 minute game with three CPU's, so I don't think I'm quite ready to do the actual 15 minute brawl quite yet.

I just play as Meta Knight and jump over everyone. I know I'm really close to finishing it, but it's just such a pain in the neck and I don't feel like playing it for long periods at a time (i.e.; 15 minutes). I usually end up just going on Wi-Fi or doing classic mode or something instead.

Ok so i have 4 hammers and these challenges left.

- Clear Boss Battles on very hard difficulty.
- Clear Boss Battles on intense difficulty.
- Clear 100-man brawl with all characters.
- Endure a 15-minute brawl.
- Play over 30 hours of brawls.
- Play 50 hours of brawls.
- Play over 100 hours of brawls.
- Collect all songs.
- Collect all stickers.
- Get 500 different trophies.

I would perfer to use them on the top four challenges (in bold) since the rest i can get just by playing the game long enough. But i heard you cant use hammers on the boss battle challenges. Are the hammers random, or do they always fail when trying to break a boss battle challenge? Also does anyone know if the hammers will work on "100 man brawl with all characters" and "endure a 15 minute brawl"?
 
You know, there's no reason why they couldn't give us extra characters via alternative costumes.

Making Dr Mario, and even Paper Mario costumes of Mario would be a brilliant idea. The moves could be similar, but they would have just different stats.

Peach, Bowser, and Luigi could also of had their Paper versions too. Daisy pretty much IS Peach's second costume.. I don't know why they couldn't just give her the face, a different voice and the name.

Trying to beat boss battles on hard and keep dying on that fucker Tabuu. I HATE the SSE and anything in it with the exception of the cutscenes. Those can be funny.

Heh, I know. That video really did not do you and Ecofreak justice since I only won one other match as I recall.

I only recorded about three matches last night since a 4 minute match takes up anywhere from 150-200mb. The third "missing" match was us on battlefield, which you won. I'll upload it and post it here after its done.
 
Also, sorry I haven't been on in forever; Jello - I added you but I don't know if I've been on too much since then. My spring break consisted me of working 45 hours from Tuesday through today. I'm exhausted and I have to go back to school tomorrow. I'll be ready for the tourney though.
 
I beat all solo challenges on hard(I HATE SPIKING GIANT MARIO IN Event #41!!) and it went like this:

Brawl: "You beat all the event matches ^^"

Me: "But I did it all on FREAKIN HARD!!"

Brawl: "...yeah and?"

Me: " I didn't get anything! I could of at least get some kind of reward for beating the last event on hard"

Brawl: "...well we did say you beat all the matches and even put a picture of a ! mark too!"

Me: "*sigh* *keeps playing*"

I just tried it a little while ago - got to 5 minutes left when a bomb spawned on top of me. I had 300 damage when I got knocked off.

For the 15 minute brawl, I used the Jigglypuff method someone posted earlier to beat the cruel brawl challenges. Basically you grab onto the ledge, let go, float underneath the platform to the other ledge, let go, float underneath the platform to the other ledge, etc.

Anyone ever play brawl and talk to each other through xbox live. Like set up a party on say halo 3 and use the pregame lobby so you can talk to each other while playing super smash bros. brawl. If anyone wants to do that with me add my gamertag/wii friend code. They are in my sig.

Since it's likely that 3 stock online matches are going to be over 3 minutes in length, I have to record them live with a tv tuner card.
 
Out of curiosity, how was the input lag in that match?

Edit: If anyone wants to play 1v1 3-stock match for a little while (items on or off), let me know.

Probably it's ever been for me so far.

I didn't really go for the smash ball there at the end. Just went for the final KO since I had blue on the edge at a high percentage. Snake's back A in the air is too good.

I am not sure which code is my wii friend code. When I check through wii menu I get one code and when I check through my super smash bros friends list I get another code. Which one is it?

Hey, just sent you a PM before I saw you posted this, anyway, the code you find in your Brawl friend list in the game (12-digits) is the friend code you'll be sharing with us. The one you find in the Wii menu (16-digits) is the actual code of your Wii (used for sending messages and stuff).

yeah I was doing pretty good, but then I fell off the cliff. :cry:
 
Here is a stage i made in the stage builder. Its called "World 1-4" and its the boss battle from the original super mario brothers. The platform above the bridge moves back and forth like it does in the original level. Spikes have replaced the fire since there isnt any fire in the stage builder. And the spring is there instead of the axe, try not to get caught in there..lol. Oh and those platforms i used for the bridge part are the ones you can press down and fall through, so dont go making many mistakes or you are gunna get spiked. The only bad thing is that the players start on top of the roof. But i thought it was a cool yet easy design to make.
