Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info
I came onto the conclusion that I fucking hate Pikachu.
Been cheating on me with another?

Good games CJ and Suko :)
I don't know why it disconnected like that, or whose end it was on, but I have to eat dinner soon so I left.
Isn't it a shame that people make jokes out of good ideas?
Not a good idea until there is a storage solution.
Anyone up for a few games?
I'll be available in about a half-hour. If you're still online, I'll join your game! :)
What's the best counter for a pika spammer? Played against one online a little while ago.
I play 'chu as my main...though I try to avoid any spamming.

Are you talking strictly down+B? Seems like a lot of people like to use that one a bunch.

It's easiest to just air dodge around them and get back to the ground as quickly as you can. If you know about when he's going to strike, you can speed down to the ground away from him while air-dodging the bolt. You may be able to get to the ground while he recovers from his attack. Of course, the Pika player could follow you until you get to the ground before striking.

If you can, try to stay in the air away from the ground as long as you can. Most Pika spammers won't chase you when you are away from the platforms (especially with the type of jump Pikachu has). This will allow you to grab the ledge and make it back.

And when I'm playing as Pikachu, I hate to go up against Fox. For some reason, he seems to give me the most trouble. I doubt that's across all Pikachu players...but he seems the most troublesome for me.

I swear I'm the only person I know who never had much trouble against Pikachu.

Now, King Dedede and Rob? I'm still formulating strategies, and most of them (unfortunately) depend on me knowing them being used in advance, which sort of defeats the purpose.

Olimar is sort of the same way.

GGs to Arikado. I'm pretty sure all of them (all of the ones without silly mistakes) were extremely close, save the one in which I used Jigglypuff. *sigh*

I'm surprised that my Zelda beat your Ness, although, I think you made a mistake. I forget. But did you see how many times I started a Din's Fire, only to remember that you were an Earthbound kid?

Yeah, your Dedede is a pain. Tough to get around and you can zone me out really well, especially when I'm Captain Falcon.

My Ness is still a work in progress. I played him a bit in Melee, and I'm playing him a little more often in Brawl, mostly for fun. Should have kept shooting those Fires... I would've liked that.
Well, kado, you're the only one online. So, do you want to do some more 1v1?
Sure, I'll start a game up.
Sorry for using D3 over and over - I'm just practicing with him. :)
That's fine.

That Mario round was terrible. Heh.

Not one of your best performances. :)

By the way, your consistency astounds me.

EDIT: That was a good cat fight.

Sorry MnkyD I believe, about rejecting your joining the match.
I just wanted some quick 1v1 vs JFD.

JFD, I'm gonna send you the replay of my Pikachu raping your Lucas without a life lost.
Taking life 1 without getting hit was pretty sweet too.

Agh! There's still no one online!

Well, of course, good games to Arikado. You looked like you were losing a little steam there toward the end - I'm sure seeing Dedede over and over didn't help. Thanks for helping me improve! Also, don't feel obligated to, but if you noticed anything that might help improve my game, feel free to let me know. I'm always curious on how I can do better.

EDIT: Also, I saved an Olimar v. Dedede match. I'll see what I can do about uploading (if you'd like).

You're a solid player, and one of the best CAGs I've played yet. The only thing I can really think of that you could improve a bit is your edgeguarding game... I think there were a few times where you could've finished me off if you stayed aggressive while I was recovering. And of course, there were a few cheap deaths, but we both had those, and I think we can both blame that on lag/delay. Mistakes are bound to happen, especially online.

It's tough as hell for me to fight Dedede as Falcon. I HAVE to get close with him, so you have the right gameplan. Playing Falcon in Brawl is so frustrating sometimes. He has no priority and it's so damn hard to take control of the air with him. Did I fight your Dedede as Zero Suit? I don't remember. She's the one I'm thinking about switching to as my main. Snake, too, but you handled him pretty well.

One of my main problems is not punishing hard enough on mistakes. There were many times where I let opportunities slip away. Plus, I whiff waaaaaaaay too many throws and don't shield grab enough.

Why didn't you chain throw me off the stage on Bridge of Eldin? I was totally bracing for it and everything.

EDIT: Which one, that last one we played? Where you pretty much destroyed my last stock? If you want to upload it, go for it.

Thank you for the compliment! And I agree about edgeguarding. I'm trying to be more assertive with that, as that's one of the best aspects of Dedede.

I think we fought once toward the beginning. I need to play against her more often, though, because I'm really not used to fighting her.

I think I need to do better on that too. :whistle2:# What I admire most about you is your spot dodging and your spacing. When we're shield dancing, I always feel one step behind.
Why didn't you chain throw me off the stage on Bridge of Eldin? I was totally bracing for it and everything.
Well, I need to do better with chain throwing; more specifically, knowing exactly how/if each character can get out of it. Because you avoided it in earlier games, I abandoned it altogether on you. So I figured I'd combo it with the forward tilt and at least get that in guaranteed.
EDIT: Which one, that last one we played? Where you pretty much destroyed my last stock? If you want to upload it, go for it.
Yeah. :) I know it seems selective, but it was the only one below three minutes, and I wanted to start collecting some videos to study. I may or may not. :bouncy:

I'm working on little to no sleep. I probably won't put up a good fight, but anyone still on line? (Joe?)

edit:
Practicing edge guard tonight, huh Joe? Guess I'm not very good with Zelda

Haha, yes. I was testing the limits, as it were, sometimes with ... unfortunate results. You're great with Zelda - I just happen understand a lot of her tricks. Thanks for playing, bud!
Decrot, do I have your FC?
ill add you
sorry for just jumping off zita, someone called me on that last match and i had to call them back

Not a problem. Sorry I had to leave, my dorm's fire alarm went off for some reason.

Good games, your marth, falco, and pit are really good.
