Cool videos DMK, I would've loved to see the Sonic match. I've been waiting to see what Sonic in the hands of an awesome player could do.
 
Its not banned yet. Stalling is banned regardless of how. I dont think it has been used a lot in tournament play yet. Its kind of a bitch to do with any consistency, and then you've got heavy landing lag that can be punished.

However, there has been a lot of talk lately about banning MK altogether, which I think is unwarranted. Snake and Falco give him hell, and then there would be no one to stop Ice Climbers. I would probably quit if they did that.

MK is certainly broke, but not THAT broke. The real problem is that the whole game is broke.
 
Yeah, great games! The set was pretty balanced, with us each winning one (not counting that first match). I was ready to quit after the third match too, so you timed your departure well.

Next time, let's play on Battlefield. I forgot to even pick that this time.

Oh, I know! I expected our 1v1s last night to be rather fluid, but it was still pretty awful. I should add - good games last night Goo! You're really good as Meta Knight (although, you have to admit, it's difficult to be outright bad as him). I think that he won against half of the quartet, iirc.

He's not quite up to par with R.O.B., but I'm sure he'll get there! :)

Joe it was like playing in fast motion against you, it took me a few games to get used to playing at your speed again. Sorry Dast I needed to practice 1v1 badly.

I just wanted to play some Soul Calibur but my PS3 needed an update, so I decided to keep you company while I was waiting Joe, but after those matches I'm all fighting gamed out. Were you always that vicious (yes you were always that vicious, you raise my blood pressure :lol:) or I am just a step slow from playing few Smash games lately. I hope it's the second or else I'm in even more trouble for the tournament.

I guess I'll go ahead and enter EVO since its Aug 8-10 and I'll pretty much be in the neighborhood anyway around that time frame.

Items on Medium is super gay though. Hopefully enough pros go through with their word on boycotting it to give me a better chance :3
 
I don't want most of the heavy hitters on my side of the fence. I'm going to form a blockage by tipping cattles on on all sides. Then the Phat D3 won't show up. I need firepower for Goo protection.
 
Whoo! Those were some great games maigo! I need to train myself to NOT spot dodge against Lucas, because that Down-A hits too many times. And my chain-throw timing against Lucas is horribly off. I'll need to practice those things if I expect to beat him on a consistent basis. But, man, I blame that Down-A move for a lot of the damage I incurred while against him. :)

The matches, on a whole, I think it pretty much went half-and-half. How did you feel things went, maigo?

My personal favourite was the aura sphere combo KO, that was my flashiest win EVAR (there were explosions going off in my head, sexy aura explosions). I was pushing my A-game on you the entire time, so it was kind of disheartening to get knocked out at 69% after a chain throw :cry:.
I think you meteor'd me more times today than I've ever been since I started brawl. All in all I think we're still pretty even, depends on char of course :) and how many times I make dumb mistakes, but thats just me being a sore loser :razz:

Oh and I REALLY need to stop landing right in front of D3, I'm just asking for a beat down :cry:

GGs Joe. You bested me tonight. I think we both were grinding too much with projectiles and Nintendo decided to punish us with lag.

You definitely improved my game b/c I RARELY grab and D3's shield has taught me that even R.O.B.'s dsmash x 2 cannot penetrate it. I'm gonna implement more grabbing into my game. I don't know if you noticed but there were times when I grabbed you for a whole sec before actually throwing. Also, I need to stop being super campy with R.O.B. My R.O.B. needs to spam and approach, like Pikachu.

About your game. Sheik's needles are a great way to fight against campers as well as frustrate people. I lost in the projectile match against your D3 b/c I should have camped from afar. For some reason, I couldn't get out of your chain grab with any of my characters today.

Also, do you think we should up the stock to 4/5 or do best out of 5 because Final Smashes make the game a lot quicker. Or should we take it out completely? It was set on low and I don't think other items will help such as the capsule (sometimes explosive).

I agree maigo! I think if we meet up this season, a lot of who wins will come down to what characters we just so happened to pick. I'm trying to get the quartet ready for the season, so each one can be used without feeling like I'm not trying my hardest. :)

And Marc, GGs! I don't think you were entirely on tonight, but somehow I managed to beat R.O.B. with Ness, Dedede, and Sheik. I was focusing UBER-HARD on punishing your Down-A's, which is really tough to do. Also, speaking of Sheik, I found out that the needles are simply a bitch for some characters. For example, they can cancel (and do damage during) both Meta Knight's Tornado and Drill. Perhaps she's somewhat of a soft counter (although her heaviness makes it easier to juggle her). Goo, how did you think the games went?

EDIT: Oh yeah, about those Final Smashes. Were those on low? Because that first Yoshi v. R.O.B. match was ridiculous. Those Smash Balls were appearing left and right! Perhaps we should consider introducing more items to the season play, so the Smash Balls aren't so frequent.

Good thing its difficult to counterpick lucario ;)

I need to get another main, the only reason I won with lucas was because of the downsmash. But I need someone who can deal with lag well...............

As I understand it, whether or not my chain throw succeeds has more to do with my timing than yours. If I'm spot-on, and the character can be repeatedly thrown, there's nothing you can do about it. Or so I believe.

As for the items, maybe introduce more harmless ones, like Lip's Stick or Franklin Badge? I felt with that frequent of Smash Balls, we were doing little more than Smash Ball hunting.

EDIT: maigo, did I use Sheik against your Lucario? Because I think she can cancel your Aura Spheres, too, with her needles. I should find this out!

EDIT2: Darn! I played maigo, then Marc, and now FallMoon is online, but she's rejecting me from her group. I almost got to fight three amazing Smashers tonight.

Uh, no...........lets not find out if she can cancel my aura spheres >_> that would be BAD. Shiek went up against Rob if I'm recalling correctly.

Franklin badge is actually pretty useful, especially against chars that rely on projectiles.

I'd suggest the smoke bomb, Mr. Saturn and team healer I suppose.
 
Ok, I lied. I'll post the schedule in an hour. But I do have the divisions broken down so you at least know who your 4 opponents are.

Lemme say this: My division has fierce competition and yours, Joe, could possibly be crazy (depending on the last 2 entrants). Let's hope Kado and Suko join ;). The Tingle Division is also very strong. BTW, this was randomized on the very first attempt.

Oh my!

FallMoon was on her A-game, and therefore she handily defeated me with ZSS. They were always rather close, with it coming down the last life for each of us, but she never lost as the suit. Quite honestly, I didn't know she was capable of that level of play. Great job, Sammy! (Which do you prefer I call you?)

There are actually several great players in the Tingle division. In fact, it looks fairly balanced, if I'm remembering everyone's skill level correctly.

There are actually several great players in the Tingle division. In fact, it looks fairly balanced, if I'm remembering everyone's skill level correctly.

Week 1 schedules are up. I'll post the rest of the weeks within 30 min. The individualized schedules for each player might be done while I'm still up but don't count on it.
