Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

Good games Hero, Ultimo, and some other random person.

I feel like I was playing A LOT better since I've switched controllers out. It seems like my old controller was being a bit unresponsive.

I can't grab blue very well, he is slippery bastard. I need my wavebird controller. Darn it, I'm using a classic controller. I yank the cord and lost connection in my match against Arikado via Kirby.

Where you using a new controller yesterday when we were playing? I noticed a difference in your play too.

Maybe a new wavebird would help me out. A lot of the time when I want to roll left I can't and my controller just seems to stutter, same thing when I try to dash or smash (everyone precede to use this against me).
 
Got 3rd in Baton Rouge out of 35 or 36. Won $39. Won another $80 by placing first in the Free For All.

That national Gamestop winner, Lee, is on a whole 'nother level from players I've seen thus far. He blew everyone out of the water. He mains Metaknight and Ike. It was ridiculous.
 
No problem Suko. It was probably better for me that I didn't get sucked into a brawl-fest before work anyway, and Brawl online in general has been so finicky lately that I assume it's the server and not anyone's connection anyway.

It also sucks that these online problems had to go all out just when the team tourney started up. Sounds like things are getting frustrating.
 
My scheduled time for the Gamespot SSBB Tourney will be tomorrow night and I would like to know who would be the best character to bring in. The rules will be five stock, i think 3 minutes, no ice climbers (admins will be using), only items that will be useable are hammer, golden hammer, boboms, smart bomb, and starman. I like to use Sonic, but due to him not being able to hit people far, i'm a bit hesistent. Any suggestions?

Seriously? Items set to ONLY hammer, golden hammer, bomb, smart bomb, starman? WTF tournament is that? Pick whoever can pick up the items the fastest.

Metaknight's forward B Drill should be able to hit through anyone using a hammer. They get knocked back and are stuck using the hammer until its done. You can repeat the drill.

Yeah, I'm on dial-suck. The timing is off about half a second, but thats it. I was trying to set up matches so I could practice for the tourney with Gamespot, but I can remove them if you want. I'll be bringing my Wii to another friend's house tomorrow so I wont lag in the tourney.

I'll play a few more matches then I'm gonna play some Starcraft.
 
Okay, is it just me or is online getting worse? I keep on getting stuck in the practice stage. My connection was just upgraded recently too (only slow DSL to 1.5mbps DSL, but that's better than it was before). But games seem even laggier now... What gives? Is there some sort of router setting I need to change?

Ugh. I don't know what's been with these damn errors lately.

Those were some fun games Strell, sorry about the stupid stuff. I got stuck with Zelda a couple of times, and Link... well let's just say I hate buffered moves.
 
Very good games. Lag was fucking up a lot of my stuff too toward the end.

You sometimes taunt after a KO and I always think I need to wait it out before I can attack again. :]
 
Got finished with my Gamespot tourney a few hours ago. I didn't get past the preliminaries, but it was fun none the less. But even if I did win, the schedule said i would have to play at 6 PM EST tomorrow, in which ill be doing something at school. If you wanna check out my Metaknight at work, they should have a replay up soon at Gamespot.com (my match was 81)
 
Sorry I didn't hang around longer, Mad, but I only signed on so I could test my home connection. I didn't want the round 2 tourney to be a total lag-fest because of my connection.
