Surprisingly the Last Movie You Saw Didn't Suck
Did you feel his anger and frustration in the wickermang?
The only thing I felt was my side hurting from laughing so much.
No did not see that movie, I posted the movies I've seen of him since the release of Face Off, in my post on the previous page... Have you seen these 4 movies, they were all very good:
The Family Man (heartwarming)
National Treasure
Lord of War (one of the best of its type in some time)
The Weather Man (very funny)

Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I watched it for the second time with friends last night, and I think I actually enjoyed it more then when I saw it in theaters. It was still corny, but I enjoyed it more the second time.

Shoot Em Up - 6/10

Normally, after a movie like Crank I would've love this even if they did take a little more liberties with realism. This however goes a bit too far, which isn't a good thing. a head on crash and he calmly transfers to the van and kills everyone? uh... no. Also, the ending sucked, oh god there's gonna be a Shoot em up 2 isn't there... I'd say I liked Paul Giamatti too but I'm a little affraid.

Babylon A.D. - 2/10

WTF did I just watch... seriously, I feel like I got false/bad advertising. I thought it was gonna be this epic action movie and instead I get Vin Diesel pulling a Keanu. Great. WTF, was the point again? Anyone? I guess there's gonna be a 2nd one since he has to take care of this new kid? oy, I guess I just need to stay away from anything with Babylon in it. Babylon 5 sucked and so did this movie.

Oh that just gave me an idea. Keanu Reeves and Nicholas Cage.. What a movie that would be. Bunch of over acting bafoons.
C.R.A.Z.Y - probably the best french canadian movie I've seen. Great soundtrack too.
Now that's a bold statement.
I haven't seen many of his films since Faceoff but these ones I saw and they were very good or good:
Snake Eyes
8mm
Gone in 60
The Family Man
National Treasure
Lord of War (friggin awesome)
The Weather Man (awesome)
Apparently it is fun for people to think an actor's films suck when a critic writes bad stuff about said actor...

I cannot wait to see The Wrestler it looks amazing. Yes, Mickey Rourke should be getting the villain role in the next Iron Man, he is such an underrated actor. He rules.
Is The Wrestler coming to DVD or going to be in theaters first?

Taken was good---except for the ending. Insert emoticon-slamming-its-head-into-a-brick-wall emoticon here. Or, more appropriately, an emoticon of a slice of cheese.

It's in theaters. Just a limited release. I may still see it. My friends didn't end up seeing it last week as it had left that theater, still playing at one in the area so we're going to try to find time to see it one night this week.

It releases nationwide on JAN 16th. The limited release had started on DEC 17th.

The Wackness

If you like early 90's Hip Hop music, teenager coming of age movies, and drug references of all kinds then this is a great movie to see. The only problem I had was how they rushed the ending but all in all a great film.

Very interesting concepts put together in this movie that would've never peeked my interest before but worked well once I saw it. When you see how the relationship works between the main two characters interact you will see what I mean.

I wanted to see that.

Tried to watch Step Brothers last night. Took the dvd out within 40 minutes and put it back in the Netflix envelope. fucking dreadfully boring.

May watch "Hell's Bloody Devils" on XBL Netflix tonight.

I meant it was in limited release currently. But thanks for the date info. May see it Friday and hopefully it will be playing at a more convenient theater around me than the one in Bethesda (parking's a nightmare there on weekends).

Damn it, just paused typing that to check and it's not coming to the theaters I usually go to.

Hit a little to close to home huh?

I got Rocky from the B2G1 Blu Ray sale and while the transfer is so so (25 percent looks demo worthy, 25 looks like shit, and the remaining 50 looks good) the movie still holds up. Rambo and Rocky remain two of my favorite movie characters ever and watching this tonight reminded me why I plant my ass on the couch and sit through the Rocky marathon every time A&E or AMC show it.

Wasn't funny and was rather stupid.
That's exactly how I feel about the movie. Has a couple good parts, but that's really all. The entire film mostly sucks.

Mirrors

merely okay. Some cool death scenes but the ending sucked
kept waiting for Bruce Campbell to come out and say "Yo she-bitch, let's go"
. I laughed more than I should have

Meatball Machine

low budget but really good. Goofy story (reminded me of Lewd Lizard a bit), goofy gore and SFX, decent acting. Not something to go out of your way to watch but I wouldn't pass it if your looking for a fun flick

I disliked Wanted. A lot. If it wasn't for Angelina's ass, it would've been complete shit.

I'm watching Crank again. It's such a fun movie.

And I realize the irony in me saying that Wanted sucked and then throwing Crank out there.. but at least Crank is fun :)

My bloody valentine 3d

Great movie - only complaint is having to pay an extra $2 for the glasses.

When do you think the sequel will come out?

Will Virtual Boy classes that came with Nintendo Power work?
I love that goddamn movie. Joseph Gordon Levitt is amazing; if you liked his performance in Brick you should also see Mysterious Skin and The Lookout.

Coffee and pie, oh my. ;)
Yes. Brick was pitch-perfect -- especially the pacing.

I actually own The Lookout, but viewed it yet.

I'll keep an eye out for Mysterious Skin.

Finally saw The Wrestler, struck out at two showings last week (missed the first, second was sold out) and were late for the earlier showing last night and had to exchange for later.

Rourke was great, and the movie was very good, but I came away a little underwhelmed. Very good movie, but my expectations were too high from reviews and hype. But good film and I recommend it, just don't go in expecting a masterpiece. But it's a solid character study with great acting--and Tomei is smoking hot as noted earlier in the thread.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button - solid film, definitely recommend it. I loved that they took their time in telling the story rather than jumping through his life.
28 Weeks Later

I still like this one better.
Me too. I thought I was the only one.

Although, they were really different movies. 28 Days Later, seemed slower and more like a drama. 28 Weeks Later, seemed much faster and more like an action horror movie.

My Bloody Valentine 3d - intro is amazing, rest of the movie is average. I enjoyed the original more, nevertheless its a good remake w/ lots of the American over explaining. which happens all too much in remakes :/ there decision to make it more of "who did it" horror/thriller then a straight up slasher horror film(like the original) will probably make it more cash in the box office.

I still LOVE 28 Days. But 28 Weeks got criticism it didn't deserve. The prologue in that movie gave me goosebumps and I kinda wish the rest of it maintained that. As a zombie movie it's pretty damn great. Sure better than the last two Romero movie where the guy should have quit while he was ahead. I only consider his first three to be valid. The rest are too modernized.
