Surprisingly the Last Movie You Saw Didn't Suck

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - 1/10

Ugh... They said this was going to be a Trilogy yet they didn't do anything that they didn't already talk about from the 2nd movie so wtf.
I heard that Righteous Kill was terrible, but I enjoyed it immensely.
I agree, It was a great movie.

Finally got around to watching Death Race. Didn't live up to what I was hoping, but still entertaining.

Wound up in Burn Notice and Reaper right now as well. I highly recommend Burn Notice if you are looking for a good show to watch.

A New Kind of Love - It was an average flick that tried to force too many of it's jokes. A few of the jokes were extremely funny but most bombed. The one redeeming quality is that Paul Newman is a joy to watch.

that movie is pretty dope. check out scratch if you havent seen it.

last flick i saw that was good was City on Fire. its a chow yun fat movie from the 80s that inspired reservoir dogs.

Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder (2009)

This was better than the second movie, and possibly the third, but nowhere near as good as the time travelling first film. They should have reworked the first film to be the fourth film, and the end to the series. Because after the awesome first movie, the following three movies were disappointments. This film, Into the Wild Green Yonder, while overall it was entertaining, the plot felt all over the place, like the third movie. I haven't watched any of the movies split into 30 minute episodes on Comedy Central, but maybe they work better like that, because only the first movie felt like a complete and singular movie plotline to me. The ending was cute, but they seriously need to get over the whole Fry/Leela relationship shit. These DVD movies have done quite well, so there's rumors of a theatrical film, but who knows. If that goes ahead, they need to create a more solid 90+ minute plot, and leave the lame Fry/Leela stuff out. AND MORE NIBBLER.
"Run, Fat Boy, Run"

Started watching "Deathrace 2000", and I'm enjoying it immensely.
Run Fat Boy Run was pretty funny

Chocolate
I've been wanting to see this since the trailer came out but never got around to buying it when it came out. Since it finally got its US release, I got to remedy that. Pretty good flick, the girl kicks some major ass and does a pretty good job acting autistic (which is a pretty hard mental disorder to act). Story is okay, not great but it does an adequate job stringing the viewer along. Should have seen it sooner.

One Night In Mongkok
Quite lackluster IMO. Relies way too much on clinches and the story frankly sucks. Its a beautiful looking film but what is there doesn't hold your interest.

The World Sinks Except For Japan
A spoof of The Sinking Of Japan (which is a pretty good film in its own right) which ends up being quite dry (its a political satire rather than a straight comedy). I was quite surprised with it being essentially an equivalent of an American conservative comedy as it shows the principals of conservatives quite well as what would be the equivalent of American Democrats failing quite badly which is a plus to me. Plus it takes fair swipes at the ridiculousness of the Global Warming bullshit. Anyways, its pretty dry but I liked it quite a bit.
Let The Right One In really great, and i typically hate the genre
So was it really as good as people are saying? I'm itching to do a blind preorder on the Blu-Ray next month.

EDIT: Damn, the Amazon customer ratings are hinting I might as well preorder, lol.
How was it?

I had to rewatch Blood: The Last Vampire for my class again.
For fans of Bruce Campbell only (obviously). Very tongue in cheek, but enjoyable in a dumb way.

really dug the movie but I thought the making of on the disc was better

L'Idee (1932)

A fantastic silent, French short with really interesting animation about an eternal idea (that sounds kinda corny, but I don't want to give the idea away--I like how films that don't hand you the meaning on a silver platter confuse the dcfoxs of the world).

Network (1976)

Really funny at parts, and almost depressing at others. It's a little extreme, but its commentary about television is excellent.
Pineapple Express.

Funny as hell at times, but was slow in places.
I really enjoyed Pineapple Express. Im really beginning to like Seth Rogen, some of his movies are really good. He has alot of energy. Its a shame that only a few people like him.

So, i watched Death Race last night and i really enjoyed it. Wasnt expecting much tbh...it is a Statham movie after all. Action scenes are quite long which is good. Overall pretty good :)

I enjoyed it more than Tropic Thunder...what an awful film!

Yea Tropic Thunder was in my opinion the most overrated movie in the last year.

Pineapple Express - I wasnt expecting much watching this one , turned out pretty funny tho:D

Friday the 13th - Loved it!!! People dont realize the purpose of a remake is that the people wanting to basically "reload" the franchise will fashion the movie to there liking. So if you go into this movie with that mindset then . . you might enjoy it. Just realize that Jason is still a big retard killing people . . 'Nuff said!!

i also saw friday the 13th. one of the better remakes i've seen, although they had a tendency of killing the only characters i gave a shit about quicker than anybody else. so i didn't enjoy that. still, not bad at all.

I agree with you to be honest.

I have Taken to watch sometime this week while i am off...ive heard good things about it.

Is Friday The 13th actually any good then? Suppose to be taking this lass to cinema sometime this week and she mentioned that as one of the films she wouldnt mind seeing. I aint that bothered what we end up seeing though...if you know what i mean :p

Zombies Zombies Zombies!!!!

Check out that movie, its actually surprisingly good. Sure, the acting wasn't top knotch, but for a low budget "indy" film, it turned out to be awesome.

PS: I also watched Zombie Strippers with Jenna Jameson, my gosh, for the sake of all that is man, stay far away from that movie..........and for anyone who did see it, how did you enjoy the panty slap up against the wall right before the face ride?
ICK!
subtle, my friend. very subtle. :applause:
Haha...subtle is my middle name. Aswell as William

Getting get back onto the dating thing...been like a month since i broke up with my GF. Its time i think. Lol, im not going to change this thread into a dating thread...so...

My first two Blu-Rays should come today. Casino Royale - Deluxe Edition and Rambo IV. Movie realated ;)

I third run fatboy run.

Yes Man.. great movie. Jim Carey was damn good, and having they might be giants playing in the background doesn't hurt either!

E-athletes.. Any info on the video game culture is interesting to me, so I enjoyed it very much. I don't have directtv but i'm curious if the video game league is still going on.

About to watch "Still Waiting... "

dont expect it to be as good as the forst one, but hopefully I'll get a few laughs out of it
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
It has that douche that's from Superbad and Juno... I sampled the beginning too. I might not take recommendations from ya again.
Quarantine. I expected so-so, I got a really great movie.
It has Debra from Dexter in it! Can't wait!

Edit: WTF, this is a horror... a bad one like as in a wannabe Blair witch movie.

Edit 2: Seriously, you thought this was better than so-so? It hasn't even gotten passed "why did I waste my time with this" status.
