System Scratching Discs? R.I.P. GTA IV

I heard rumors of discs being scratched by the system if it is moved during play. Mine is scratching them even without it being moved! Of course, of all the games to start doing that with, it chooses my GTA IV. Needless to say, I am pretty unhappy at this development. Has anyone else had this sort of trouble before?

DVD drive failure (scratching disks and disk read errors) are the second-leading cause of 360 failures, and that's not covered by the 3-year "3-red lights/general system failure" warranty. It's part of the rest of the warranty, which is just 1 year.

Just got my coffin today...debating if i want to send my 360 out since i'm enjoying GTA IV...
