Taco Bell Appreciation Thread
The chalupa wins. Man, I'm getting the hankering for some Americanized Mexican food.
Well i got my Chalupa combo meal tonight. Given the fact that I didn't eat anything all day (except the omelet my gf made) I took a dump 20 minutes later and boy did it come out smoothly :|

The Chili Cheese Burrito is NOT dead. There ARE some locations that still sell it. Of course, the Taco Bell a block from my weekday house DOES sell them, as do the 2 TB locations in the city where I work.

I hate to love Taco bell. I give them up, then months later they come out with some dope new shit and pull me back.

fuckers.../weep. I hate/love youuuuuuuuuuuu!
I saw that combo yesterday, doubledown.

(I work half a block away from one)
Yes, I don't want your opinion on the quality of Taco Bell....I wanted to know what comes in the Combo Meal for the Cheesy Gordita Crunch

That doesn't seem like a Combo to me....unless it was two CGC's and a drink ;)

son of a bitch............. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS MISSING!!!!

Argh they jipped me of a crunchy taco!!!

You appreciate Taco Bell a lot more when you don't have one. For some reason, there aren't any anywhere near the UMich campus - the closest one is a fifteen minute drive.

That said, making that drive at 2AM with your friends is a blast. :)

as an indian, i used to be a vegetarian...now i eat everything

but i still like my taco bell with beans (minus the beef)
I just want to express that the Crunchwrap is perfect...i dont know how anyone can top that

They really need to bring back that Santa Fe (sp?) sauce quick... it's been out of my region for like 6 years now :(. Now that was some good shit.
Sante Fe sauce? Explain!
If I remember correctly it was some sort of spicy cheesy sauce that you could order on your chualupa and other meals. It was awesome. It's been 6 years since it left my area so hard to remember the details but god I missed that stuff.

I think they still have that here... though I think they call it jalapeno cheese sauce.

Well I just came back from TB...decided to leave 2007 with a bang.

Ordered a grilled stuff chicken burrito combo
and 1 chulupa without lettuces. PERFECT.

The dine in was close, but the drive in was not.

No, the new Cheesey Gordita Crunch combo does not have a crunchy taco. The old combo the last time this item was advertised was a CGC and a taco. The new combo is two Crunches.

Again, this coming from a former Taco Bell employee, myself : In the beginning, Chalupas/Gorditas came in four styles -- Baja, Supreme, Santa Fe, and Nacho Cheese. Santa Fe was some sort of sauce like described, but it also had a topping of spicy corn.

Taco Bells stopped supporting the Santa Fe style because the corn had a shorter shelf life than was profitable.

You are the Taco Bell GOD!!!

Ok hmmm...it had corn... forgot about that.

yeah the value menu is pretty great, the 1/2 lb beef and potato burrito is very rad, as well as the cheesy fiesta potatos.
and? small huh?
You know what? I remember them being small and unappetizing, but I recently had one and was very pleasantly surprised. Not only are they a good size, but they are also very cheesy and meaty. Smother the thing with fire hot sauce and you are in Tastesville.

I don't put that sauce on my stuff. Doesn't need it. That's just me.

All this reading about Taco Bell makes me want to run out and get some...laziness prevails though.

I always get a Baja Chalupa when I go along with whatever else I feel like, usually a Cheesy Bean and Rice burrito or a spicy chicken burrito.

You can try but there is a good chance they are closed right now. I was damn lucky my local TB was opened at 10pm.
No you can't. You need to get some right now.
the chances of him getting some TB right now is slim.

Haha the irony of this thread...I NEVER eat Taco Bell because I haven't gotten fast food in years, but I'm on vacation and I've probably eaten about 15 cheese quesadillas in under a week (I love those things).

I like the chicken quesadillas with a side of guacamole. Yummm.
what sauce does everyone use? im a Hot sauce guy and i cant understand why anyone can like fire sauce..
I like the fire sauce 'cause I'm brown. Oh wait...

Actually, the other sauces taste sweet to me.
I use fire because its thicker and an actual sauce. The others are just flavored water.
Correct. Mild is a joke, and hot tastes bad.

wow looks like a lot of people really like fire
i always liked hot, and mild is too watery. fire is chunky but tastes wierd. hot is just right for me.
Fire is money. I take a shit load of packets to use on non Taco Bell related stuff.
yea, people are embarrassed when i grab a bag full of hot sauces from taco bell ( i use them at home for non Taco Bell related stuff too).

you shouldnt be embarrassed, its free, and grocery stores have the nerve to sell taco bell sauce in bottles when anyone can get it for free at a taco bell.

My point is, everyone should take as many as they want, because its not stealing. As a matter of fact, they want you to take that sauce.

No they don't. They can't stop you from taking a lot but they sure don't want you too. When I was working at Taco Bell, we had this problem. Once every month, the store manager would get a list of all the items we were using too much and then he tell us to use less of said items. The sauce packets came up but there really wasn't anything we could do about. One of the worker suggested we hand out the packets but the manager shot it down. He pretty much knew it was a lost cause and so didn't really care that we were going though a lot.

That said, there nothing wrong with taking a lot of sauce. I ate around 20 packets of the fire sauce every lunch break. And if I close, then I take a whole bag. Got to have some fire sauce along all that left over food.

They no longer have the Chipotle Grilled Stufts so I decided to get a "1/2 pound" beef and potato burrito. It was not good. I'm pretty sure it was no where close to a half pound either. It didn't even begin to fill me up. The potatoes were like curly fry chunks and didnt taste very good with the beef. I'm very upset about the Chipotles though :whistle2:(.
