Before I pull the trigger, do you guys foresee any scenario where it could be cheaper before Christmas? I had originally planned to wait for a B2G1 deal, but Toys R Us doesn't carry the game, and Amazon usually limits the the selection of B2G1 games.

That's not a bad price for the game. There is a possibility that it could go on sale for $30 on black friday like many recent popular titles did last year but are you willing to wait that long for a price drop.

i saw the game yesterday at toys r us. they only had 1, but it was there. it was the thick limited edition, but i dont know if that is the only version or not.

Only thing is... I never see Japanese RPGs in Black Friday deals. Usually it's the big name titles (Batman, Assassin's Creed, etc.) that Best Buy offers for $30.

I'll keep this in mind. I didn't see the game listed on their website, that's why I assumed they didn't carry it.

Cheapest Tales of Graces f ever got at retail was $40. Namco just ran a deal for it for $35, which is also the download price.

JRPG's are hard to gamble on whether they drop in price severely or not at least at retail. I doubt Xillia will get any cheaper than $40 before Christmas; Ni No Kuni took 6 months to drop to $20-$30.

The thick limited edition which includes the character art book, music selection CD and outer box packaging is the 1st print run which is all you will see in stores for the first few weeks and once those are sold out just the game will be available. So $45 for the limited edition is a good price.
