Wow, alot of pawn shop hopping going on!

Question: So which Tampa or Brandon pawn shop sell the cheapest 360 accessories?

Looking for a wireless net adapter, controller, battery charger, etc.

I know this isnt a sale thread, but if anyone's looking for Wii Fit. I have one sealed for $105. Craigslist isnt helping any and I cant compete with free shipping. I'd prefer to meet somewhere in the North Tampa/Carrollwood/Lutz area, but depending on the day, I might be able to travel farther. Send me a PM if interested.

Hit a few fleas briefly this weekend to see if I could have any luck. Nothing great but I got

GEN Mega Turrican Cart only - $2
PSOne Final Fantasy VIII Black Label Complete - $7 (I know I overpaid but I haven't seen a Black Label 8 with all 4 discs in this condition at a pawn in years)
PSOne Alundra 1 Complete - $5

and at Target by USF no less
PS3 The Simpsons game $12.48

I also got a few CDs, one of which I have been looking forever for.

Anyone happen to preorder Age of Conan who ended up not picking up the game and still has their preorder card? The lovely Gamestop gave mine away after telling me they would hold it with the game.
I saw Blast Corps and Mario Party 3 at a Pawn Shop on Waters Ave. close to Dale Mabry, but the bastards were charging $20 for EACH! I told the guy that he was crazy to put them at that price. The games looked in pretty good condition. Anyways I'll let you know if I see anything else around.
I went here today & told the guy the same thing.

Had a pretty decent haul today. This is why I love Tampa's ghetto.

Captian America & the Avengers-$2
FF Crisis Core-$10
Halo 3-$15 (sold because I want the CE)
2x Plug N Play Genesis systems-$2 each
Zelda OOT/Master Quest (disc only)-$5
Metal Gear Solid (GBC)-$5 (overpaid but wth?)

Thats not the 1st time I've heard that today. I got a lot more stuff in the pawn thread.

Everyone has seen my updated wants, right? I am about to die if I dont get Panzer Dragoon Saga or Shining Force CD...

WOW! What pawn shop is that?

Dude, it's like this. It is always hit or miss. The same pawns that I got FFCC & MvC 2 at I can walk in the next day & they have Madden 07 for $15. You gotta do what I do. When you get free time, just pick a route & go (for example, down Nebraska Avenue). I get a lot of great deals from those pawns. Lock your car doors though.

Definitely lock your car doors. There are some good pawn shops on Busch as well.

You get a $100 gift card when you buy a PS3 40gb.

Its worth it if you dont want to play PS2 games. If you do, i'd suggest waiting for the MGS 80gb Bundle in a few weeks. Gamerush should be pre-ordering them for those with Blockbuster credit.

Anyone know any other alternatives to Craigslist or the classifieds? I guess I should suck it up and sell my Wii Fit on eBay, but I find it really hard to believe no one wants it for $100 flat.

I picked up a Ps3 today at walmart, a few people in line with me at 12:00am at a Brandon Walmart. I have a preorder in for the MGS Bundle, but I'll probably cancel it now. I have a Ps2, so that's not a big deal to me. I'm really surprised how quiet the Ps3 is compared with the 360, pretty amazing.

No real alternatives to Craiglist really that I know of. Some people post ads at USF near the food center and near the registrar's office, I sold a car a while back that way.

Thanks. The assholes on CL keep reporting my listings because they are lower priced than theirs. I guess I might suck it up and go the ebay route if it doesnt sell by Saturday. I just find it weird that people are bidding on average $140-170 shipped when there are tons of buy-it-now's for $120-130 shipped. You'd think people would rather BiN than wait for bidding.

I'd raise your price in your ad, and then be flexible with offers that come your way.

Sheesh, I just put an xbox 360 on craigslist and it seems like all the idiots come out. I've got someone looking to use it as a Blu-ray player. A person who's mom wants to meat (exact spelling) me. Someone who wants to 'make payments', and another person who wants to pay $100 and a 120gb harddrive...

I wish Yahoo Auctions was still around. I wouldn't mind shipping the thing if I didnt have to pay any fees.

I hear you,

I just tried to sell my 360 w/ 4 games using craiglist. I asked for $300 for everything, and I got offers ranging from $50 to $200. One guy wanted to trade me car stereo equipment. I ended up ebaying it.

Posted this in the dvd deals forum. I got the coupon from the Citrus Park location, so hopefully you guys wont have any problem with it.

You know, I just had a GREAT experience with craigslist here in TPA (though I was the buyer, not the seller). Got a used Xbox 360, 2nd wireless controller, play & charge, wireless adapter, rock band with instruments, GH II with guitar, and around 10 other games (Halo 3 legendary edition, GoW, Mass Effect, COD4, Bioshock, Lost Odessey, etc) for $400. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop (RRoD), but so far, so good.

I don't see the craigslist thing as any different than a garage sale. If you have ever hosted one, all of the idiots come out, but if you want to move something, you can usually move it.

go to the mall, stand outside of Gamestop with a little sign in saying: "Are you looking for a Wii fit?, ASK ME" You should be able to get a good deal in about 20min. Of course go when the mall is packed with people like, Friday or Saturday afternoon. I did this with a Wii that I didn't want to sell on ebay. Got $400 right there on the spot. This was in xmas though.

Darn, I can never find anything valuable in Tampa. Once,I went to ten different pawn shops, and found nothing of interest. Man, you guys are lucky.

Just drove through Hillsborough, stopping at any Pawnshop I could find. They were pretty close to the Ghetto too, thought I could find better stuff.

Hillsborough County or Hillsborough Avenue? Maybe you took it after I cleaned it out. It's I found Zelda CE, Halo 3, & FF Crisis Core for $30 total last time I took it, but before that all I found was Ace Conbat 6 for $15. It's always hit or miss, just like yardsales or flea markets.

Do you live in the immediate Tampa area?

I was finally able to get rid of it, now i've got a 360 arcade bundle ($200) and a couple MGS4's ($55) up. I hope the MGS4's wont have too much trouble selling.

Anyone here a Gamefly subscriber? I was wondering since there is a distribution center in Tampa how the turn-arounds are? I am moving to Tampa come August, thanks!

I'm a gamefly subscriber. I re-subscribed just because theres a location in Tampa now (used to take FOREVER to get & send games). I've gotten about 8 games sent to me so far this month and the most they have taken is two days. The items I return usually show received the day after I mail them.

Scored an Ikaruga at GS today. $32 credit, but I only paid $15~ for the credit, so it all works out. This month is going to be the golden time for flippers, I can just feel it.

I hope this isn't considered the wrong forum, but since I am trying to get rid of it in the Tampa area, I figure this is the best place to post it. I preordered the MGS4 PS3 bundle at CircuitCity.com, and then I took a chance on the Carbonfrost deal thinking I could always return the CC one. Well, Carbonfrost was actually legit so now I have an extra unopened bundle.

From what I've read, this area seemed hit and miss in regards to the bundle so I thought I'd offer it up here before returning it to CC. If anyone wants it, PM me. I just want to get back what I paid for it ($500 for the bundle and $35 for tax). I also had to get the Blu-Ray remote for the CC deal so I also have that for $25 if you want it. Hope I'm able to help someone locally get this if they missed out.

No reason to be rude, buddy. All I was doing was asking if anyone needed any help before returning it to CC. It's not like I was trying to make even $1 profit on the thing.
Anyone know any stores that have Rouge Galaxy for cheap?
try blockbuster. they have it for $14.99 if you can find it complete. Sears used to have it but after it hit 10.97 I never saw it again (I was trying to wait for the 2.97 drop but they all sold)

uh I was being genuinely honest. I really am giving you a thumbs up because these are going for way more than retail on ebay and for you to offer for not a penny more is good stuff.. seriously was not trying to be at all rude, I don't see how I could have been? anyway apologies if you took it in a negative way..

Note to everyone. Avoid the Capital Pawn on Busch at all costs. That has to be the most horrible pawn in the world. I found out that the owner checks Ebay for all his prices, and when I asked him if he had FFVII, he responded "if I did, I wouldn't sell it to you, I'd put it on Ebay". Ya, way to be nice to your customers, asshole. There was also a Wii for $350 & a Genesis for $60. There are also some really shady people working in there so if you dont wanna avoid it for the reasons above, do it for safety.

Sounds like ou went there looking for the PSOne games. Can't say I didn't warn you, there was a reason I said wait until Friday. Its just how they do business and you have to time it right to make sure the "right" employees are there and that it isn't the day the games were supposed to come out. That really clues them in on if games are in demand and to research prices. It sucks, but it happens.
