I saw this today in EBgames, brand new for only 14.99, I passed because I wasn't sure if I really wanted it or if it was a decent game or not but 14.99 doesn't sound like a bad price to me. It's not available online, and I'm not sure if Gamestop is the same or not, but if you want this game it's a pretty fair price if you ask me.

Free isn't a good price for that game. It's terrible beyond belief.

Don't listen to this guy... It's a hardcore dungeon crawler, which means you'll either love it or you'll hate it. The interface can be a bit clunky, but it's no better and no worse than your average dungeon crawler.

I had a good amount of fun with it. There's a lot to do and it'll last you a while if you're into this kind of game.

i got this off gamefly for 21 bucks last summer (think Azure dreams) but the levels are the same.

I decided to buy it monday and then come tuesday i ran into that bird boss on level 20 ? and i never played it again. the bird boss can put you to sleep or make you dizzy and kill you very quickly. I didnt feel like going back and trying to get monsters that counterd it so i gave up.

15 is an okay price for it but i say it be 10 before long.

Its somewhere around $10 PO'ed at GC. I saw it and Lost in Blue about a month ago - decided to get Lost in Blue instead.

interesting, I remember liking Azure Dreams, but acknowledged it wasn't a great game. I was younger though and more open to crap games, so who knows. This reminds me I still have a sealed copy of Azure Dreams. I don't want to pay $15 for this supposedly crap game, but if it ever gets down to $5 I would for sure give it a try.

Tao's Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal seemed interesting during a time when the DS lacked RPGs. I bought it when EB Games/GameStop was selling it new for $19.99. I got about halfway through the game at around thirty hours. Although the monster companion element is poorly developed, the dungeon levels are interesting and varied. The bosses are quite challenging and required extensive strategy on my part. Although it's hard to tell from screenshots, the game is turn-based, which I prefer in this sort of game. I need to finish it...

And to the individual who didn't like the bird monster, I think I just put it to sleep or confused it with a simple Orb. Do that and the battle becomes cake.
This got number 1 in the top 10 worst games of the year in Game Informer.
Game Informer may as well be Disney Adventures as far as credibility is concerned.

I've been waiting on a good price for this one. I love dungeon crawlers. Thanks for the heads up, OP. I'm going into town later today and I may have to stop by EB to check on this one! :D

My favorite part of their 2006 year in review was the fact that half of their editors named World of Warcraft as their own personal Game of the Year. It would have been nice if they'd picked something that actually came out in 2006.

Also, they made sure to give Gears of War and Resistance: Fall of Man the same overinflated rating (9.5). Guess which rating gets posted all over the EBstop B&Ms? The one that only plays on the PlayStation 599, of course.

I checked both Gamestop and EB, and neither shop in my area had Tao's Adventure...oh well. Thanks for the heads-up anyway, OP!

I wonder about this and Azure Dreams...you guys who like it, have you played better dungeon hacks before?

Heck, Nethack-the best one ever (one of the best two games ever made IMO) is FREE. It's hard to play Azure Dreams IMO because of that. The GBC version was nifty because it's portable though.
