This is in continuation to the Target Clearance Thread which needed to be closed due to its overwhelming size. Same rules apply (and see the first post of the original for all the detail):

This thread is for Clearance deals, not sale items or raincheck "scams"
Please Post City, State and Store (If City has many stores), game, system and price

Keep extraneous discussion to a minimum, as posts not pretating to clearance deals may be deleted by the mod crew.

As always-- YMMV

Example:

Philadelphia, PA Snyder Plaza
BigDirty's Wild Ride, XBox, $4.98

I was at the Clackamas Promenade store (Portland, OR) tonight around 7:30 pm. Here's what stood out:

PC:
Everquest Platinum - $20.98 (2 copies)
The Political Machine - $6.98 (1 copy)
Zoo Tycoon - $13.98 (2 copies)

There were a few other PC titles there as well, but I can't remember the names. All these were located at an endcap near the CD's and DVD's, across from the clothing department.

Tons of games have been backstocked yet still no clearance... I don't get it at all. They've literally clearanced out every dept in the whole store and yet no video game clearances except some pc games. Tons of radios, cd players, cd cases and that lot, but no games. That makes me a sad panda.

The Hooksett NH store had a few of the Zelda promo games and the Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Discs out. The Pokemon was marked 1.25, but the Zelda's were not marked and didn't scan. The guy at the register called Electronics and they said they were put out by mistake and they can't sell them.

Could it be they might just be salvaged and not clearanced at all? With the recent Christmas toy clearance, every year since 2002 (and probably earlier), the toys have went to 75% off. This year, a lot of stores never went to 75% off and were salvaged at 50% off. Maybe they have other plans besides clearancing the electronics, but I hope they still go on clearance. I noticed the games area in my local Target looked a lot emptier than it had been before but no clearance games.

My Target source called on break this morning to tell me that FFXI w/ PS2 HD just dropped to $50/50% off...but that it was the only game in the whole store to go down. :whistle2:/

I wonder the same thing, a lot of our toys ninja vanished before the rest went 75% off. I know there were a few xmas things that were salvaged, but a lot of it did make it to 75% off, I know because I bought a lot of stuff for dirt cheap.

As for Rumble Roses don't count on it being clearanced anytime soon that game just came out.

*cough* BREAKDOWN *cough* :)

I dont think I would take Nightcaster for $2 either. It got like a 1.4 or so from GameSpot.

But . . . you can trade it in for $5 bonus credit at ebgames

There's an independent game shop near me that gives $6.50 credit for just about any complete game in decent condition. Still, I hate people who buy out all the clearance games just to make a profit. Both Nightcaster titles were pretty bad games anyway. (How in the world did Nightcaster 1 ever get a sequel to begin with?)

That pile of crap gets $5?
The last game I saw clearanced was Nightcaster 2 on Xbox. It was only $2 and some change but I passed.
But that must've been months ago . . . right?

This thread is on lifesupport . . . PC games aside, we haven't had a new clearance item to report for probably a month.
I'll vouch for the $50 PS2 HDD...now for that to go down by half...
One of the Nashville Targets had PS2 FFXI for $50, but they didn't have the hard drive. The guy actually asked me if I still wanted to buy it.

I would begin to keep an eye on thrift stores as the Targets near me clearance items out at Thrift stores if they do not sell

There's a Goodwill near one of my Targets, and they usually get what Target doesn't sell. The Goodwill still has it marked at $99.99 though.

I asked a the manager of the video game section (or whatever they are called) who I've made friends with and he says that the next time the V-game department is set for a clearance is sometime in March or April as they are going through each individual department at my Target. He told that the back is literally going to explode with games that are just waiting there collection dust. I too haven't seen much at any of the two local Targets in my area. I'm just going to guess that that is the reason.

Which thrift stores Casey? Goodwill I suppose, but are there any others around?

The dam is breaking!

My friend on the pricing team just called on break to let me know that a ton of titles dropped...though I can't remember the whole list, here are some highlights:

The Suffering - PS2 & XBox
Cartoon Network Speedway(I think) - GBA
.Hack Quarantine - PS2
Siren - PS2
Drakengard - PS2
Sword of Mana - GBA
Star Fox Adventures - Cube
Various MadCatz accessories
Manhunt - XBox
Catwoman - Didn't ask
Some Scooby Doo game - Cube
Donkey Kong Country - GBA
A Dynasty Warriors game - PS2
Psi-Ops - PS2? Both? Can't remember.
THUG 2 - GBA, I think.
Some NHL and/or NFL sports games. Didn't pay attention to these.
One of the Eyetoy things...I think it was Groove.
Original GBA Systems - I think these GBA systems went 15% or 30%...friend specifically said they didn't go 50%.
GBA + E-Reader Combos
Front Mission 4 - dropped to around $8...I had my friend score this one for me.

Please keep in mind this is just from memory, since I didn't have any way to take notes on the corded phone that I answered. >__<
Another thing to note: Some of these went 30% off, but some also went 50% off...and the mixture was good, ie. not just the crappy games went 50%.

edit: Friend called again to let me know that they found more stuff in the back later this morning.

the one in Wake Forest off of 1 and 98 I know gets a ton of Target stuff (my mom works there)
The dam is breaking!
Promises, promises. Sure, the dam is breaking today, but we won't even begin to see the "flood" of clearance games until March or April if then, right? I'll keep checking the local Target periodically, but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.

As always with Target clearance, it depends on how your store does pricing. Some stores actually try to work one day ahead so that they don't get bogged down if a certain department has a ton of markdowns. Regardless, watch for the stuff...it's coming, and I'm glad it's already happened at my store, because now I've got a couple new games waiting for me when I get off of work and get over to my friend's house.

Thanks, I figured that one or the one off of Old Wake Forest Rd. I may check that one from time to time.

sometimes they have some good stuff and sometimes they do not. The one near Wakefield plantation is only like 3 miles from the one in Wake Forest and last time I stopped by there, they had a Game Boy Player for 25 brand new

I am never in Hendersonville, but I was there tonight, and they had a ton of clearance games.

.hack 4 (PS2) $15. Finally!!!!
Front Mission 4 (PS2) $7.50
The Suffering (PS2) $10
Drakengard (PS2) $15
Catwoman (PS2) $10
Fight Night 2004 (Xbox) $10
Unreal II (Xbox) $10
Silent Hill 4 (Xbox) $15

A bunch of sports games.
A bunch of GC player's choices $14 each.

Edit: just went back and read "the dam is breaking" post. I was so close to being first.

And, yeah, they had eReaders for about $28, gba+eReader combo for about $50, and PS2 multitap (old version) for $25.
Front Mission 4 (PS2) $7.50
Damn, I've been looking for a good price on that. I'll have to check my Target.

It's not really clearance but Crash Nitro Kart for GC is now $16. I don't really know why though, it was $20 a few months ago then we pulled all the copies of it and they sat in the back for awhile and now it reappears $4 cheaper. Some TVs are also on clearance now, a few 19 inch dvd/tv combos. I would imagine that my store would clearance off a few games sooner rather than later. Sadly, as time goes on I care less and less about what games Target is clearancing as I've come to realize I already have most of the games I want right now.

Or if your Target is like mine either the employees take all the clearance games, or the games that are supposed to be clearanced are "value titles" and priced at $19.99.

props to my main man at the target on transit is clarence, ny for checking for silent hill, finding it, scanning it and telling me it was 29.99. then props to him for asking me if i had been " checking out CAG". all target employees should roll like this dude.

you should read a few posts back, perhaps i should have said silent hill 4, but aside from that post makes perfect sense. he obviously was a cool employee, especially since he asked me about CAG. and we had a laugh. learn to read whole threads or in this case, a few back. thanks.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm a newb cag in Nashville.

ok went to target today and the prices were nothing like what the other guy posted here's what i got:

Silent Hill 4: The Room xbox $20.98
Siren ps2 $20.98
Front Mission 4 ps2 $10.48
The Suffering ps2 $13.98
Psi Ops ps2 $13.98

Do the prices listed by the other guy start tommorrow? Are they just different by various Targets acroos the country? Should I hold onto them and wait for another price drop? All had red clearance tags in the case. Kinda pissed. I just want my prices changed.

Well depending on how good the CC list is, I might hit up my Target tommorow. I haven't been in quite some time, but I'm not expecting anything.

ha word. they need to change thems joints since manhunt rang up 29.99 and psi ops (though for xbox) rang up at 19.99. silent hill 4 also came up at mine for 29.99 and i have about 40 bucks in gift cards. if i could get all three of those games for roughly 40, id love it.

when do they clearence things out, like day of the week, i know its been answered but i dont feel like fishing. please HELP!!!!
any word on the final fantasy xi bundle dropping to $30
Still hovering at the $50 mark at my store. Maybe next week...the only thing I want it for is the HD so I can free up some space on my PS2 memory card...I don't care about getting the FFXI game at all. :p

Front Mission 4- 10.48
Star Fox Adventurs- 13.98
and an opened (does that change the price?) KOTOR for 4.98 (PC version)

Both in White Planes NY

That's nuts, I was right next to the White Plains target today (at the Circuit City for my Red Tagedness), didn't know there were any other Westchester CAGs.
