The following is all jacked from jimijumper's "The Bona-Fide Target Clearance Thread XX IS NOW CLOSED!!!" thread linked below

Previous thread:

XX

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

Find In Store

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:

Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

I am starting off this new thread going back toOctober 1st, 2012 February 2013.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

Fellow socal CAGs? Awesome! I work in Cerritos and Buena Park, and live in La Mirada... so there are certainly a good amount of Targets in the area. I'm always willing to help out a fellow CAGer if possible.

FIFA 13 (PS VITA) $5.98 dropping this week ;)

PS. Also spotted Mega Man ZX (DS) $7.48 (4-5 Years old game) but the computer 10/16. Can't sell it to me ;)
You mean you aren't interested in it? That is an excellent price. New copies go for around triple that, or more. I am horrible at those kinds of Mega Man games, so I wouldn't be interested in it.

ZX was decent. I didn't like that it's ridiculously easy to write over your save files by accident, but the gameplay itself is quite good.

It's not really the gameplay. I'm just horrible at all the Mega Man platformers. Mega Man X, Mega Man Zero, ZX, I can't play any of them well.

Welcome!! I pop by Cerritos regularly when I'm visiting my girlfriend over in Artesia.

Finally saw a few clearance items!

  • :ps3:  Resident Evil 6  $13.98
  • :ps3:  Defiance $13.98
  • :ps3:  Lego Star Wars III  $13.98
  • :ps3:  Assassin's Creed Brotherhood $13.98
  • Vita FIFA (?)  $13.98

Also saw a 16 MP Nikon Cool Pics on clearance for $100.

There were also a ton of 8 mb and 16 mb thumb drives for $8-$11.

Not great but at least it's something.

saw a ton of the MOGA android gamepad thing for 14.98. also the nikon 1 (digital camera point and shoot with swappable lenses) still hanging out at 30% off.

strangely, all the games vanished that were there last week. maybe el hoardo, maybe moved.

Picked up Tekken Tag 2 for $6 and saw Lego LotR Vita for $6. Scooped it up and read reviews as I shopped and found out the Vita version is garbage so I put it back.

Saw this at the Target in North Dartmouth, MA on Tuesday. Hoping they have more stuff going out like Kingdom Hearts 3DS. I will check if they added anything on my day off tomorrow.

:ps3: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 $5.98
:ps3: Defiance $9.98
:ps3: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood $13.98
:ps3: Lego Star Wars III The Clone Wars $13.98

Dang. Was in a Target the other day. My radar was set to games. Hope I didn't overlook one of those. Been curious out about the Moga Pro, but I'll take a Moga if that's what they have.

Thanks for the heads up!

saw some clearance games today for the first time in a long long time. nothing great, but still its something.

resident evil 6 (ps3) $9.98
assassins creed brotherhood (ps3) $13.98
lego pirates of the carribbean (ps3) $13.98
defiance (ps3) $13.98
ghost recon future soldier (360) $13.98
madden 13 (vita) $13.98
fifa 13 (vita) $13.98

Picked up Madden 13 (vita) on a whim for $6.  Was fascinated to see that it's adhoc only multiplayer?  Looking forward to playing it anyways, even if it's an abyssmal train wreck.  EA really phoned in their vita lineup, not sure why they bothered.

Saw all the report PS3 drops

Tons of

Brunswick Pro Bowling 360 $5.xx
Once upon a Monster 360 $5.xx

Did score

Tetris Axis 3ds As is $2.56
Kung Fu Panda 2 DS As is $2.56

And an out of system
TC Ghost Recon Future Solider 360 cashier ask if I knew the price said no and she rang it up like the other two at $ 2.56 :)

Picked up Madden vita for 5.98 the other day.  Already have the digital version.  Not sure what the hell I'll do with this.

Pardon my ignorance, but I am behind on new releases...AC Bro. Did that get reissued? Or is that the original release finally getting clearanced? I just played through it and I know I am several years behind in the AC series.

Brotherhood to my knowledge was released as a

1. Normal retail Copy

2. Greatest Hits Copy

3. PS3 Controller bundle (greatest hits version)

I picked the original release up from target on clearance about 5 months ago. Maybe they are moving out the GH version's ?

Went to my local Target and found most of the same games as everyone else for the same price (Ass. Creed, Definance, Lego Starwars). Did find a few notable "AS IS" items. Got myself a Logitech G100s for $7.56, and 2 iFrogz GoLite Universal Backup Charger and Flashlight for $7.56 each. The mouse is mainly just a backup for myself, but there is one left if anyone is in the area and interested. The backup chargers would make good Christmas gifts, so that's why I got those. And considering each item is normally $29.99 each, it was too good to pass up on.

Picked up a pair of Sony behind-the-neck style headphones for $4 today.  They sound surprisingly good seeing as they cost a little more than a gallon of milk.

Also saw RE6 and Hitman Absolution (both :ps3:) for $10.  Will definitely grab RE6 again for $6 if I see it just to hold on to until the multiplayer packs go on sale (although I imagine by then MP will be totally dead).

Lego Star Wars III was down to $9.98 at my store (was $13.98 last week).  Might pick it up if it survives the clearance bin long enough to hit $5.98 in the next week or two.

Picked up SSX (360) for $5.98 . Also seen RE 6 (PS3) for $9.98 , and the latest Hitman (PS3) for $9.98. Would like to find Hitman Trilogy.

I think it's just the game that keeps on clearancing!

And has anyone seen the Nikon point and shoot DSLR (F1 or J1) for under $200 yet? DPCI: 056-10-0295

I got the F1 for $100.04. However, each one has a different DPCI number. White is 056-10-0953.

I picked up the Nikon D5100 with a nice camera bag, nobody wanted to splurge on that one?
I just wanted a simple camera I could use for unboxings and take with me to conventions. It's light, easy to carry, which mattered more to me than simply being a great camera.

Pittsburgh, PA Area (Century 3 Target)

Got FIFA 13 Vita for $5.96.

Saw but passed on SSX (PS3/XB360) and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (XB360) both for $5.96.

Haven't really seen anything noteworthy on clearance here in H-Town, though I'm hoping that the PS3 Terraria CE will clearance down soon. Got my eye on that.

Saw the aforementioned games, along with Madden 13 Vita, the copy of Two Worlds II that's been floating around my area.

Slightly OT, but does anyone know if the coupons on the Target preorder cards actually expire? I have some from GoW Judgement, Maddens, NCAAs, and others.  If I could still use them when the games get down to $20 somewhere, it'd be awesome!

I've always wondered this myself. The hardest part will be to get the cashier to take them, but give it a shot. For science!

yeah they are supposed to take them, you paid for them. the pre-order card only guarantees your copy for 7 days but you can still use them way later. I work at target in electronics and i have taken them months later.

I hit up a couple out of the way Target's when I was in the area today looking for Vita Fifa 13 at 70% off but came up empty.  I found some other good stuff though, got lucky with some As is and online items.  Here's what I scored

Logitech G100s mouse $7.56 down from $29.99 = AS IS (I saw this one in multiple stores)

Batman Arkham Asylum Battle Bundle (game + Batarang wired controller) for the 360 at $12.56 = AS IS

Plan 9 From Outer Space DVD color $1.76 = Online Item

Plan 9 From Outer space DVD b&w with MST3K commentary $1.96 = Online Item

I also saw

Ass Creed Bro PS3 = 70%

Fifa 13 Vita = 30%

Hitman Absolution PS3 = 30%

Picked up:

Doom 3 BFG (PS3) $5.98 and also found this!

Found 5 or 6 copies each of Resident Evil 6 & Hitman: Absolution both for PS3 at Target in Willmar, MN for $9.98 a piece (Resident Evil 6 is listed as $13.98 but rings up as $9.98). Maybe more can be found at different locations? Good luck for anyone looking! Oh, and they were obviously in the clearance section. Again, good hunting!
