The following is all jacked from jimijumper's "The Bona-Fide Target Clearance Thread XX IS NOW CLOSED!!!" thread linked below

Previous thread:

XX

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

Find In Store

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:

Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

I am starting off this new thread going back toOctober 1st, 2012 February 2013.

Noticed that after redeeming the COD Ghosts combo code on the 360, when I went to download the Xbone version it gave me the Gold Edition for free. Gold comes with Onslaught DLC and the wolf skin. In case anybody was on the

fence about this.
EDIT: I found the answer on another thread.

I don't have a Xbox One yet (only 360), hopefully soon. Are these two seperate codes? And is there an expiration on them?

Can confirm as well guys, after redeeming the code on Xbox.com (Don't have a 360) I went to my Xbox One and could download the gold edition free. Comes with first DLC and Wolf Skin.

Also at RWVG they're both one code so they can't be split up, heard they expire the 31st but not sure no information on case.

I do signing at target and its changed now
Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. I guess there was too much abuse.

edit: Just checked the website, and it still shows 90 days for most items. 30 is for "Electronics and Entertainment items" which I guess includes videogames.

What is the DPCI for that 360/X1 Ghosts digital item at Target if I may ask?

Saw a new stack of Lego Pirates of the Caribbean for DS for $9.98.

They still have a bunch of vita starter kits that have now dropped to $11.98.

Picked up a Wii U Stereo Headset + Mic for $5.98 (reg. $19.99).

I also noticed at the front of the store where they have somewhat of seasonal items, a few random $5 video games, mostly DS (one of the Prince of Persia games is one that comes to mind). Not clearance but might be worth looking out for.

Is there still a bonus discount for your first purchase when signing up for a red card?

And I saw most of the digital cameras that were on clearance are down to 50% now

Question I was at a Target today and they had Ninga Gaiden 3 Razors Edge Wii U on Clearance for $17.98 so I ran the DCPI number which is (207-30-0681)

It came up as not in system and when I asked the guy to check the price he acted like I was asking him to push a car for me and he scanned it but told me its going to be the same price they dont change once its on clearance... um ok guy... so anyone know the policy on not in system or seen this priced similar at a store around them?

BTW Target on 124th and Capital Drive in Wauwatosa,WI had at least 8 PS4's

I'll list my different experiences

1. If it doesn't come up in the system they'll charge you the price on the item

2. Find someone else who'll check it and you might be able to get it for a lower price

3. If they call a manager, they could pull it and say isn't for sale but they'll sell it for the price on the item

Ninja Gaiden was clearanced when it was $60 before the recent msrp drop, so $17.98 should be the lowest it went before it went out of the system a few weeks ago.  It shouldn't be a problem to get them to sell it for the tagged price although they will usually remove those items from the floor.  Except in a few lucky occasions when a store starts the clearance cycle all over again on a clearanced item, I don't think anyone has gotten it lower from target.

Not sure if it's been posted, but the PS Vita Starter Kit w/4gb memory card was marked down to $11.98 at the Target in Lakewood, CA. There was like 10+ there, but I picked one up.

Thanks for the heads up, I just got one today as well.

I got one when it was $20. Can I adjust it?
It's against their policy. Some people have success with asking to change their method of payment...returning the item and then rebuying using another form of payment at the current price in the system. Technically they shouldn't allow this either, but they won't know what you did until it's done.

Edit: A lot of different home electronics dropped to 70% off this morning. I saw home theater sysytems, blu-ray players, bluetooth speakers, portable HD, etc..

Picked this up today. The Target I went to had a bunch of them. I'm also in SoCal.

anyone else's electronics section turning in to a best buy-esque cell phone store? big reorg over the weekend with blue leds everywhere, new carpet, and about 3 dozen spots to display phones and tablets. it's weird.

Havent seen that I know our video games section is adding pc games into the main aisles as well the wii u and wii section getting smaller. Another section being added is called "cloud gaming" whatever that is.

Yep. They're currently in the middle of a complete shuffle of the electronics dept. They will also have Apple specialists in-store soon, or at least mine will.

As a Target employee, I can tell you this is happening to all if not most stores.

My closest store is under a complete remodel, and they moved the mobile department up to the very front of the store where Guest Service used to be. The only mobile stuff back in electronics now is the pay-as-you-go phones/accessories/etc.

Saw this at one of my Targets. I was thinking about getting it. Decided against the idea because I know I'll need a larger memory card in the future. Not confident the rest of this starter kit is worth $12.

Holy cow you guys were kidding.  Whole Wii/U section missing and bunch of empty aisles.  Ton of random electronics clearance at 70% off, most of it headphones and I wasn't sure sure which were good (other than the still expensive as all get out Bose) so I left that stuff to look up some of the models.  Did grab a third party Fitbit compatible scale for $30 (orig. $100), a Phillips Bluetooth/NFC speaker for $15 (orig. $50), and a Tom Tom VIA 1400M for $35 (orig. $120).

All I found today was darksiders ii wii u as is $30 smh and a titanfall paperback strategy guide for $7.49 which being multiplayer only I don't even know why they have a strategy guide for it

056 00 0172 - 21' Gateway $27.98 (or something like that)

056 00 0173 - 23' Gateway for 38.98

I checked another store and both models rang up regular price.
Well I didn't even know to look for that and says it's at the store I went to today. Probably will be full price but worth taking a look for tomorrow since I was on the verge of buying a third 23" but wasn't happy with any of the prices I've seen lately.

Damn, I was at Target earlier today while I was waiting for my Wingstop order, and only checked out the clearance section, and not the section where the monitors are normally.

A lot of random electronics can be found on clearance including the monitors, haven't gone to check if they are still there or if they dropped as low as that. I wouldn't mind finding any of the digital cameras for real low.

I think the monitors were a happy accident.  The new Gateway ones they are carrying are on the same DPCI numbers as the old Acer ones that *did* go on clearance a couple months ago.

Only thing VG related at mine was Defiance :360: for 12.xx.

This store did, however, have a few home theater systems on clearance at 70% off.  I ended up grabbing a Samsung HT-F4500 5.1 3D-BD system for 71.98 (64.96 after 5% pharmacy rewards and 5% redcard), down from 239.99. Reviews seem to make it out to be a decent entry-level, and with Microsoft dragging their feet with 3d support for the X1, I can finally watch my 3D movies again.  The only thing that kills it for me is the lack of wireless networking, since the router is in a different part of the house from where I want to put it.

Look into powerline adapters possibly. Also, I grabbed that same one, wish there was an easy way to get the 5% Pharmacy rewards without needing a prescription. I'm healthy and take no medication, why can't I save that extra 5% :( . The HT-F4500 is a freaking steal at 70% off.
