I found one when Target had the 50% off clearance sale around New Year's for 19.99. I wouldn't give up hope just yet, but time is getting close.

There are some stores that won't let you rebuy the item you return though. They will make you go try to find another copy in store. Seems ridiculous but they did that to me with the Limited Edition for Assassin's Creed IV for the PS3. Thankfully they found a copy that someone had hidden in the back of the store.

I don't buy up the entire region, or anything close to it
. 2-3 of each Lego set that I'm interested in usually, same with games that I want. And the extras are always gifts (I've actually never resold a Lego set, ever in my 40 years, hard as that may be to believe), whether for family and friends, or clients/customers and employees. My big problem is I have a LOT of people that I help out on Lego sets - soooo many kids' birthday parties. Plus, I haven't seen anything past 70% off in years now (outside of 90% off seasonal).Nowadays I don't even need to do return/rebuy, as I know the price and inventory of every DPCI I'm interested in at every location within 50 miles of me. Thus, I just go directly to the closest store that has it in stock at the lowest price. There are usually at least a couple of stores that have it in stock and at the lowest price...even if they're a bit out of the way, it's more convenient than the hassle of return/rebuy. I'll still advocate return/rebuy though, mainly for those with only a few stores at their disposal and only one or two that may have a particular item on clearance. Here in LA/SoCal, we have so many damn Targets there's a bounty for everyone.

Just got a ghosts ce 360 for 16.49. Had to bring a shelf tag to get it though. Also grabbed dishonored, Max Payne and ffxiv. All in all not bad for around 40. It's March 31 as the cut off for ffxiv transfer to ps4 right?

Saw a bunch of cheap PS3 games on sale. They had Max Payne 3 for $7.48, Anarchy Reigns for $4.98, X-Com for $7.48 all ps3. Also picked up my ol lady a pink Apple front case that turns into a keyboard looking thing for an Ipad Mini for $9.98.
Good memory! I gave those as gifts though, and I didnt return/rebuy those iirc. There were a couple of exceptionally ghetto stores that had a pile of those at 70 or 80% off...I think they were something like $15 or $20 each, maybe even less, and just sitting there because the store didn't put the clearance stickers on them.I seem to remember a pic you posted. And there's no shortage of sets in SoCal, he's right - it's crazy how even the smallest Target has a GIANT Lego section. And it's LA, so getting to a Target that's 12 miles away takes you 40+ minutes to drive there ONE WAY most times of day, and you can understand why deals are availble for a little bit longer then you might think they would be.

They're starting to dump PS4 games, too. This evening at one of my local Targets I saw that they were clearancing out

Really happy with this Target clearance since it has been awhile since I've seen video games on clearance. Seems to have mostly been iPhone cases and Batlestar Galactica season dvds.

Went to a pair of Targets that were showing stock of Tales of the Abyss as well as a particular Lego set in the hopes that the inventory tracker wasn't wrong. First one had TotA for $8.98 and quite a nice Lego find...a Friends Olivia's House on the shelf in front of a couple of the Friends Heartlake Mall set. Scanned it on the store scanner and it came up Item Not Found. Took it to electronics and asked the guy to scan it for the last known price, and he used the little employee issued iphones/ipods and said "hmmm it's $74.99". No thanks. But I held onto it and as I was heading towards the front checkout, found an employee doing clearance and had her scan it with the PDA. She printed a clearance sticker for it and slapped it on, took a look and was quite pleased with the better price the system came up with: $26.24.
Second store was the only one that was showing the Lego CUUSOO Research Institute in stock at 3, with a price showing $13.98. I've been trying to get my hands on the set but missed it. Figured I'd check the DPCI (204-00-1061) and see if any stores actually had one, and it showed that this store actually not only had it, but the price showing for it was $13.98 while all others had it listed at $19.99/22.99. Went in and couldn't find it anywhere; employees said they should be on the clearance aisle. They were actually hidden behind some sets in the regular clearance area - 4 of them.

Lucky. Wanted to pick that up for my 4 year old but I hesitated the one time Target put it on eBay and have never seen it again. Don't see many toys, or LEGO sets, that feature women in such positive roles.
(If you happened to grab more than one and would let one go at a reasonable price let me know.

I found a copy of Sky Crawlers Innocent Aces for Wii that had already been zeroed out for store inventory so it wouldn't ring up. It didn't have a price tag so I had the customer service desk find out what the price was.
After a few minutes they told me it was $13.XX. I really just bought it because of the trouble I caused them.
