In their sales ad this week Target has a bunch of good deals on DVDs. They have some 2 for $15 and 2 for $20, and also nice prices on a few boxed sets, including Futurama Season 1 for $20, Simpson's Season 1 for $20, and Family Guy Volume 1 for $20. I picked up the Family Guy set at Best Buy for $41+tax today. I'll then get the price match +10% of the difference later this week, bringing the total down to around $18+tax.

Are you sure this is in all Targets? Cause I havent gotten my ads yet... And I really want Simspons Season 1.. Sucks that I already bought family guy and futurama vol 1s....

And are you sure it's the Family Guy Volume One DVD one? Meaning 4 disk box set, season 1 and 2...

Futurama and The Simpsons Season 1 sucking; I couldn't agree more with, however Family Guy Volume 1 (Season 1+2) is excellent, because the series was great from the start. In the long run though, I do prefer The Simpsons over Family Guy.
 
This deal was in this week's ad. My zip code is 48165 and I live in southeast Michigan. You'll likely get the advertisement tomorrow with your paper. I highly doubt that Target has different ads for different regions.
 
in the westminster, CA target they had terminator (i don't remember if it was 1 or 2) extreme edition for $10 and snatch for $10. if i wasn't so intent on buying video games i'd pick up those movies for that price :)

Not really dude, Futurama Vol. 1 is great, Futurama was great from the get-go, so was Family Guy. I have Futurama Vol.1 and Family Guy Vol. 1(Season 1 and 2) and both are great. Futurama started off the best out of the three shows. It shows just how little you know what you are talking about. And yes, the Simpsons didnt start off so well, because they started off in the early 90s/late 89... and at that time they were alone, and plus, Family Guy stole a lot from the Simpsons.
 
Oh yeah, I forgot to say, this is going on at my Target too.... And its not on sale, it looks like thats gonna be the regular price on the DVD sets now...Simpsons Season 1=19.99
Futurama Season 1=19.99
Family Guy seaon 1-24.99.....all regular prices now... at least at my Target... If any of you guys dont have that price at yours, I will be happy to get a copy of any of the three for you...
 
Slightly off topic, but anyone able to tell me about the MASH season sets? I got Season 1 on DVD for less when Target was supposed to hold a DVD for me, and when I got there they couldn't find it. I've wanted to get the other six seasons ever since, but didn't want to pay whatever they are asking for them.

Haven't done any looking on Ebay or Half, maybe that's a good place to start. ;)

Well, Im going to go check this out. Hopefully they are on sale and I can do a raincheck deal with them to get the better seasons.

You can't, its not on sale, its a markdown... Therefore, you cant get a raincheck..lol

Just got back from target with Family Guy for 25. Pretty good, and they were marked as On Sale, maybe my target was wrong, but thats what the little cards said. Family Guy 24.99 from 39.99. Simpsons and Futurama were 20 from 35. So later in the week if they sell out of any I am going to try the rain check deal.

Sometimes, but usually theyre a pain about it. They say like something like they normally dont price match target since target dont have things in stock alot.

Oh.... thats weird... maybe it was my Target that was wrong... Oh welll...

Anyways, tell me if the raincheck on that works... Because it would be 38% off for the Family Guy, then you could take that off some other Boxset..which would be awesome... so tell us all if that works or not, when or if they sell them out.

I went to my target and they were sold out of futurama season 1 and I tried to get a raincheck, but they guy said that rainchecks are not for as advertised items. I was like are you sure about that and he got the manager and she said that was the way it was. I really wanted to get Alias season 2 or Freaks and Geeks season 1 for cheap. Oh well.

You should have told them to humor you and print the raincheck to see what it said anyways. I have picked up a few of the Futurama v.1 rainchecks and it is an ON SALE item for 43% off.

If they still refuse get the managers name and inform them that you will be calling corporate and lodging a complaint.
If you have a cell phone have the number on hand and call them right in front of the manager.
 
I went in to get Futurama and family guy. They had 2 copies of Futurama left so I grabbed one and waited a awhile. Someone else grabbed it. I went and got a raincheck for futurama. Got Band of Brothers for 50$.

Can you pick me Simpsons Season 3 or Futurama Vol. 3 at 43% off? I can pay or trade for it... Cause they wont sell out at my Target unless some people go in crazy.. We got like, 7 of Family Guy and like 3-4 of Futurama
 
Got Family Guy raincheck for 38% off, I was going to use it for volume three, but they put that as a subsitute anyway. Ah well, now I have an extra raincheck for later. (although even with these discounts it feels like 20$+ is too much for a box set)
