I was just in my local target and found a couple titles for dirt cheap. Of Course this is completely YMMV

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within GC 4.94 But when I went to ring it up i came out to be $0.00 So I got it for free.

007 Rogue Agent $4.94 PS2
Contra: Shattered Soldier $2.54 PS2
Zelda the original GBA $4.94
Duel Card Captors GBA $3.74

There's already a massive thread for Target clearance games:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52106

You were very lucky to get PoP:WW for even $4.94, let alone free. I snagged one for $7.48 and thought I was pretty lucky. They have been removing most clearance items before they get too cheap these days. Plus if it rings up $0.00 they either take the tag price or just don't sell it (it has been removed from inventory). You were fortunate to get a clueless employee - I have never had one just let the $0.00 go by :D.

Anyway, check out the thread I linked to. Target USED to be a great place for clearance games but they have been quick to remove things now before they get too cheap. They might be sending them to Goodwill, but no one knows for sure.

I have seen a number of Target castaways at Goodwill.

You're right, Target had been my introduction to CAG deals . . . I got so many good games from Target clearance. Lately my Targets dump most of them before they get below $10 :whistle2:(

yeah -- i was pretty lucky at my target. the cashier didn't really know what she was doing either. i picked up donkey kong (gba), PoP:WW (gcn), zelda 4 swords (gcn), and mortal kombat: DA (ps2) for ~$13. pretty sweet deal.

also picked up wwe:dor (gcn) and lotr:3rd age for ~$7 and finally, SC2 (gcn) for ~$5.

there were a whole lot of PoP:ww left, but went back a few days later and nothing left now.

Last Christmas' clearance stuff went from the Jantzen Beach to the Goodwill south of Hawthorne near downtown. Of course, Goodwill charged not must less then full retail on items that were 75% off at Target!

I know for sure they give to Goodwill. I saw no games, but cups, plates, towels, etc., all with target clearance stickers on them. The Fox Valley, IL location.

Also Energizer chargers, etc.

The only halfway decent deal I got was Banjo Pilot GBA. It rang as 0.00, but the manager whipped out her gun.....and tried to blow me away......shah!!! Sorry, Aerosmith, doncha know? But she scanned it with her gun and said it was 7.48. Not bad for a fairly well reviewed game.

at the target by me, they had freedom fighters for 3. 50. thats an excellent game. they were already sold out.

you know he could have rung up himself (some places have that option if your paying by card) so noone could stop him from getting the game for free.

Really? I know that supermarkets started doing this, but I would think that with all the inventory, Target wouldnt want to do that.

Walmart has the self checkers, so I don't see why Target wouldn't. The Target here doesn't have them yet though.

I really wish my Target ever had any of these great clearances, o well, I will still stop by in the morning tomorrow to check anyway.

Well theres another strike against me. Believe it or not, I don't live close to a Walmart. I think its about 20-25 minutes away, but since every other retail store is close by, I've never had to go.
