Target Witcher 2 (PC) $19.99
All Witcher 2 PC versions are identical with all DLC and EE content. Either the patcher will get you all the EE content if you install off disc, or you can download the whole thing after registering the key at gog.com

Just FYI, I bought one of the Version 2.0 sticker boxes and that isn't the EE box. The sticker is just a notice of the significant changes made in a previous 2.0 patch. EE content is even better. But like I said, none of this matters, all Witcher 2 PC versions get all the glorious content!
Yeah they're re-releasing the PC version with all of the changes on disc (it has the same cover as the 360 version; I've seen it at Wal-Mart since they cleared out the regular version after Christmas) but for $50 MSRP so now is the time to buy the original, PC version.

That is one advantage of boxed copies, that you can still grab an 'old version' for cheaper (and in this case upgrade to the new version for free).

I know some were surprised and disappointed when Steam actually raised the regular price of this game when the update hit since a lot of people were expecting a sale.

Did the Steam cover art of the game change? Or I guess CD Projekt raised the MSRP b/c of the new content/re-packaging.

Edit: Yep Steam changed the cover so they're version is the Enhanced Edition now also, that's why the price increase. I'm sure the regular PC edition is no longer available to purchase on Steam.

I'm going to pick up a copy tomorrow. Didn't know the added content was a free update for PC copies. Thanks again OP!

Edit: Just reread the OP. It states that it's temporary until today. If they remove the sign tomorrow when I go, oh well. I wouldn't get to it immediately anyway.
I have been waiting for the Steam version to drop under $20. I am hoping that with the release of the console version they will perhaps drop it quite decently for a day or two.
As discussed above this version of the PC game no longer exists on Steam's store and is replaced with the EE. This is your last chance to get Witcher 2 at retail this cheap until probably around Black Friday as all PC copies now (even physical) are of the Enhanced Edition with new MSRP of $49.99.
For those with limited internet and/or caps, be aware the patch to upgrade the PC Version to EE is about 12GB.
Also note that many people are having problems with the patch and it generally seems borked. If you don't want to risk potentially downloading that much for nothing it might not be a bad idea to just register your PC copy with GOG and redownload the entire EE from scratch from them.

Didn't see any copies at Target, so it's a bit of a shame they've phased out the cheap digital copies online. But I get why they're doing it. Any other publisher would be charging extra for all this content to everyone, so it's very cool of them to give all of it free to existing owners. Not surprised they're bumped the price of the game for new owners to recoup some of the cost to produce that stuff. Imagine it'll be at a good sale price sometime in the Summer on Steam or elsewhere.

Just picked up a non EE copy at a local Target for $19.99. The package is bigger than I expected. It includes some DVD and audio CD, and a booklet.

The download through gog.com went smoothly with their downloader. Only needed one try. I would advise everyone else that buys a physical copy to do same and avoid the headache.

Same here. There were only two left. I left the other copy if another CAG wanted it. Thanks again OP! I'm going to register on GOG.com. I prefer to have the download besides having to keep the disc spinning.

Picked up a nonEE copy (but with the 2.0 sticker) at the Morrisville, NC Target that just opened. Two copies were left behind mine!

The install (disc) and the update went through fine. I'm playing this game with my X360 controller. Best of both worlds. I recommend everyone tries out arena mode so you can get a better feel for the combat. It's highly addictive too. Definitely worth the $20.

Yeah I did the pre-download and everything and it seemed fine on the first boot, but then it started locking up when I tried to start the game so I just uninstalled everything an did the download version.

After about 20 hours, the 15 GB download should be done when I get home.

So is this deal dead? Haven't been able to go to a Target, may get a chance tomorrow. The website still lists it at $20 but I guess it isn't Sunday everywhere yet.

In the past, I was able to find am item mislabeled because it was changing the following week. Of course that was the following day or so. You have to get there at open though so they won't have time to change the prices. Sneaky I know, lol. If it rings up a different price, mention the tag. The CAG...I mean customer is always right. Check the stock locator beforehand. My store said limited availability, and there were only two left. Hope this helps. Good luck scoring a copy.

I'm thinking this may be more of a clearance vs a weekly sale thing. This edition is no longer being produced and the one that replaced it is in fact by a totally different publisher (Warner for the EE vs Atari for this standard edition).

Website now lists the game at $30, the same price other stores like Walmart have been pricing it at. Still might be worth it if you're afraid you won't find another copy, but I'm going to hope Best Buy or something follows Target's lead and marks it down to clear stock.

I picked up a copy a few days ago, it was marked $29.99 on the shelf but I had the guy price check it and it rang up $19.99. This is my first PC game in a long time, not used to the whole keyboard/mouse setup so I may look for a deal on a 360 controller to play it.

It works really well with a 360 controller. If you get a wired one you should be able to just plug it into the USB port on your PC. For a wireless you need a dongle transmitter thing that you can either buy separately or in a pack with the wireless controller.

I personally prefer the wireless variety and find it has a really good range. It's nice to have if you ever want to run the hdmi out from your PC to an HDTV and then sit on the sofa and game.

I had some graphics issues after the ee patch so im redowloading the game from gog hopefully it will help.
Also i couldnt see any text in the main menu/conversations(it worked fine before the patch)

Its the full ee game or do i still have to download more?
Because i have the The Witcher 2- Assassins of Kings Digital Premium Edition instalation files that i got from amazon

The MS wireless 360 adapter is pretty cheap on Amazon, $13 from most 3rd party sellers.
Grabbed this last week, thanks OP! Was showing $29.99 in store but rang up $19.99. It's great since you can just input your CD key on gog.com and download the Enhanced Edition straight away. If you want to install and download the update, that works too, but I opted to just grab the Enhanced since there were widespread reports of install errors on the enhanced edition update.

If you download the full game from GOG at this point that should be up to date and all you need. I wouldn't mess with the install files on the disc honestly because then you will have to patch them and like Steve0Matic said there have been widespread problems with the patch.

If you want the steam version for 20 dollars go to g2play.net they sell steam keys of the game. I just got mine yesterday and its the enhanced version
Its legit. I thought it was too good to be true but its only 20 bucks so I gave it a try and now I have the game on steam. If you are a steam head like me I reccomend this site
