Ben Judd's an interesting guy:

We still have a fucking ace up our sleeve. It's an ace, a fucking ace... At TGS (Tokyo Game Show), the Capcom booth stage is going to make people's balls pucker up. It's going to be big.

He's the producer for the Bionic Commando sequel, if you don't know him.

I wish blank Munnys weren't twice as expensive as the equivalent-size blank Muggs. I'd love to do a few "offical" CAG ones, and I like the Munny shape better, but they're way too expensive just to experiment with.

I know the Munnys are made out of vinyl - are the Muggs made out of the same material?

You could experiment on the mini-Munny, WSB.

Speaking of Munnys, does Mega-Con have a lot of designer toy exhibits?

You mean custom and fan made toys? Not that I recall seeing in the two years I've been, but I may have missed it and things change from year to year. Seems to be gaining popularity.

I wish I had this.

Like shit by companies such as Kidrobot (if you've heard of them). Vinyl, collectible toys. They're just generally labeled as designer toys.

To be honest, I never really took notice of that kind of thing before, as it was never really my bag, but it's possible. I remember seeing a couple of vendors had various Munnys for sale, but I think they were all retail.

I'll definitely be on the lookout next year.

Yeah, I mean retail stuff, not custom made.

I was just wondering because that would definitely make me want to travel up to Mega Con next year.

zoo...

Tamiya(sp?) are the best acrylics for toys out there, but expensive

If you don't wanna spring for Tamiyas, Apple Barrel are the next best, and used to be
Banks, what brand?
I don't know offhand, I'd have to look. Apple Barrel sounds familiar, and I know for sure I don't have any Tamiyas.

*edit - They're all different ones. Mostly Delta Ceramcoat, a few Apple Barrel, and some specialty ones (like glow-in-the-dark, holographic sparkles, etc) in DecoArt and FolkArt.

Been sitting there for years, looks like they're starting to separate. Need to give them all a good shake.

*edit2 - Bunch of tubes of Battat brand too.

Linkin:

You pre-ordered Elmo Live from Amazon, right? Did you get an email saying it would be released on November 1 instead of October 14?

Zoo$$$$a...

I forgot one thing...

When repainting a figure, you're gonna want to lay down some primer on it.

The spray Krylon white was what I used many moons ago...

Once you got a white layer down, it'll take any color you throw at it

But FYI...once you throw a layer of primer and acrylic paint on a toy, the articulation/posability takes a shit
Good luck Temp!
Thanks, I'm going to put the ring on a collar and buy a kitten and propose with it. I mean, who can say no to kittens?

Did anyone else get yesterday's woot shirt? It was pretty badass.

Additionally, here's a solid forum for customizing, if you run into trouble.

In fact, there's a guy there that goes by the name "Ibentmyman-thing." Is he relative of yours?

I would have made it a little more cartoony, but making it black and white was a really good idea.

I could make a Zombie Hitler.
