Terry Funk's wrestling topic
Anyone still have the t-shirt mock up with Orton giving a TV the RKO and a list of hotels on the back? That one is my favorite.
Agreed. The Orton/WTC is awesome but the hotel room one was simply indescribable... the look on his face... priceless.

I would pony 20$.

Guyver would easily be the most booed guy in the building. You wanna' make yourself famous buddy - Now's your chance. Those guys HATE - HATE - HATE Cena and you will feel like a God.

You should literally say after every match, "John Cena could have kicked out of that!" I bet even some wrestlers will give you shit. You could even start yelling to wrestlers that "You deserve better! Sign with the WWE! Sign with them! Look at how they treat me!"

We'll honestly have to get over $100 to get Guyver a front row seat since those are all gone though and they only way some people will come off of those is with extra incentive if you get what I mean.

Perhaps. Would you be willing to suck a dick or two? I know I wouldn't. ;)

This is the only Orton/hotel image I can find

Here is something else I found on Orton while looking for the "hotel killer" shirt.

55681articlely1.jpg

Hey, just got back from Green Bay today and I just wanted to pass along a note from after the show. We had went to a local bar afterwards, and that seemed the place to be! Right when we got there we saw Kennedy (who we were THRILLED with seeing as he is suspended). We got our pictures with him as well, awesome guy! Also there were Carlito, Beth Phoenix, Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Santino Marella, Coach, Kevin Thorn, Cody Rhodes, Shelton Benjamin, and last but not least, Randy Orton. I will get back to him in a minute. Everyone else here was awesome, signing autographs, pictures, whatever fans wanted. I even heard Kennedy say he would see Coach on Oct. 1st. Must be when his suspension is over. Anyway, they eventually moved the party to the upstairs of the party to get some privacy. As they were going up my friend asked Randy Orton if he could have a quick picture. Orton said, "everyone wants a quick picture." Then Orton took the camera upstairs with him and proceeded to throw it off down to the bar. Luckily enough some other guy caught it and gave it back to my friend. Low and behold he realizes his sim card is gone from his camera. Eventually the police came and he explained he just wanted his card back, it at all our pictures from RAW on it. The officers questioned Orton, asked my friend if $100 would cover it.My friend said that was fine. Well it turns out Orton left right after the cops questioned him and had to pull him over to talk to him again. Turns out he autographs the $100 with his name. He addressed it, "To Dipsh*t". That pretty much sums up everything I have heard about Orton right there. He is a super ass. Everyone else was cool though.

That's pretty funny, actually. I'm not big into autographs or bothering wrestlers, so the guy telling the story may have been a massive pest...then again, the contrary argument is that these guys know what they're getting into, what with becoming a public persona and all that. At least there isn't much in the way of wrestling paparazzi.

ROH Champion Out For The Rest of The Year, More
Date Added: October 31, 2007
Story By: Ryan Gray
Source - PWInsider, Wrestling Observer

-- We now have an update on Ring of Honor champion Nigel McGuinness. According to Mike Johnson McGuinness has been diagnosed with a torn bicep. This will put him out of the ring until at least the end of the year, thus he will miss the big ROH Glory by Honor weekend and a tour of Pro Wrestling NOAH. Right now doctors are hoping that rest and rehab will heal the injury without having to do surgery.

-- The next Ring of Honor pay-per-view show will be taped on November 30th in Dayton, Ohio. The first match has been announced as Mark & Jay Brisco vs. Davey Richards & Rocky Romero, which at this point is a tag team title match.

--The Ring of Honor Hartford show scheduled for Friday, December 28th has been moved to Friday, June 6th. All tickets for the original date will be honored on 6/6.

Ring of Honor will be running a doubleheader in New York City on Saturday, December 29th and Sunday, December 30th. The show on Sunday will begin at 5pm. More information on this big weekend will be coming soon. Tickets for both NYC shows go on sale this weekend at Glory By Honor VI Night 2 at the Manhattan Center.

Isn't Kazarian now called Kaz? At the very least, I think they dropped his first name.

Hopefully he isn't just fed to CC and the fued actually goes somewhere.

Heh, I kinda act that way at WWE tapings, always booing the good guy, general heel shenanigans. Almost got me kicked out a Raw taping.

If anyone cares, Elijah Burke was on Ghost Hunters tonight and ran away screaming and flailing his arms like a little girl for no apparent reason. They're doing a repeat next Wednesday at nine and I'm sure they'll have to show it. It was amazingly hilarious.

The man who was leading the show in/out of commercials was talking about what happened with Elijah right after that incident. He said Elijah was from the "WCE" and that his nickname was "The Elijah Express".

Thanks for posting that image Brak. I'd like to get that image put on the front of a t-shirt and have the list on the back.

Do you happen to remember what hour this was, as it was a six hour live ep, and would love to see that part as I got the whole thing recorded.

Have you ever seen half of the people asking wrestlers for autographs? Its a scary bunch. Last year me and a buddy of mine heard from one of our friends who works at a hotel here and told us the WWE guys were staying there. So we decided what the hell and drove up there after Raw just to see if we ran into anyone. (I dont get the whole autograph thing either, but i would love to shoot the shit with them)

Well we get there and the place is filled with stereotypical westling nerds.. i mean fans. You know the kind... overweight, usually a black outdated wrestling shirt, greasy hair (usually long and balding) patchy facial hair, carrying a replica title belt, sweatpants, and velcro shoes. Well anyways the entire lobby is swarming with these people. My friend and I decided we would hit up the bar for a beer and see if we ran into anyone. The Coach and Grisham show up and are mobbed by these people, i mean you would ahve thought that it was Hulk Hogan or something.

A few months back i went to a Bret Hart autograph signing and i swear to christ the entire place was filled with the grossest strangest people. I felt very sorry for Bret, i mean the dude was shaking hands and taking pictures with people for about 5 hours. There were guys who brought a replica title belt and would actually walk around like they were walking down the aisle while music was playing then stand against the wall and pose with it for no particular reason.

Man...there's this crew of cats who are the stereotypical epitome of wrestling nerds who sit front row when I go to OVW. When wrestlers decry "the internet," I used to get defensive. Now I picture these guys, and I have empathy for the wrestlers.

Motherfucker looks like a 36-year-old Dick Cheney with down's syndrome, and he and his posse all (I believe) share their lil' photo albums of pictures with them and other wrestlers. GROWN fuckIN' MEN! A picture or two is alright here or there...but an album? That Lisa Frank shit is for 9 year old girls. fuckin' wow.

There's also the "I'd be a 3rd shift grocery cashier lookin' mighty broad if it weren't for the fact that I dress like Paul E Dangerously" cat. Dear god; it's like every element of Drag King culture gone to fuckin' hell.

OH! Thanks for the reminder. Last time I went to OVW I decided that pro wrestling *NEEDS* a "Trekkies" style documentary about wrestling fans. I need to start planning that shit. It'll make me a couple of bucks, I hope.

I think there's just an element of social tact that most wrestling fans lack - dress, hygiene, open-mouth breathing, flagrant staring at male and female physical archetypes...that infuriates wrestlers. That doesn't mean they're all like "oh, that dude myke can talk and look you in the eye without drooling, let's go party with him!"...but it's quite clear why they want to stay away from those cats who not only wear sweatpants in public, but tuck their "Bret Hitman Hart" t-shirts into them.

...I think the guy's name was Scott Keith, but he was some nobody wrestling site writer years ago who managed to publish a few awful books that nobody bought. That's exactly what you're talking about.

 As for the documentary i say we co-create it. There are some serious church step dirties around here. When i used to wrestle for a few indy promotions here locally there used to be this group of guys that would go to everyone of our shows and they were basiclaly a cheap Hillbilly knock off of the ECW crowd stable. It was the lamest thing ever.

The Undertaker 15-0 DVD release that is exclusively available at Wal-Mart is heavily clipped. A number of his WrestleMania ring entrances have been cut off not to mention that about half the matches are joined in progress. Furthermore, the DVD doesn't offer any interviews even though the DVD cover states that it features interviews from many of his opponents.

I knew my instincts were right when I didn't buy it. Hopefully it'll sell like ass, go on clearance for $4 and force the WWE to make another great UT DVD ala "Tombstone" but with different matches.

In related news, I'm halfway through the Rey Mysterio DVD set and it's freaking incredible. His match against Kurt Angle really makes me miss Angle being in the WWE (provided he's used properly and not all drugged out).

Thursday WO site news update -
http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/headlines/default.asp?aID=21182

ECW did a 1.6 rating. Brooke is gone from WWE, Leticia is gone from TNA, Bobby Heenan's either undergone or will be undergoing jaw surgery soon, and it's his 64th birthday, Jericho took next Monday off from doing book signings, the writers strike isn't expected to affect wrestling much, although NBC could use wrestling as prime time filler if needed, and the newest WWE Magazine did some last-minute editing to remove Benoit's name and face from pages 11 and 26.
......................................................................................

Leticia won't be missed at all, Brooke's booty-shaking antics will be missed, but she added nothing to any WWE programming beyond that, so I'm not surprised she's gone. I hope Heenan's surgery goes well, and it's amazing that he lived to be 64 given his long history in wrestling and insane bumps he took during his prime. ECW's rating going up is very good news. Hopefully it results in more Count Nunzio.

The writers strike/WWE thing could be quite interesting - we could end up with more WWE vs. TNA dates if the strike happens and takes shows like the Office off of NBC's airwaves for a bit. As usual, the Jericho stuff is quite intriguing, but I don't expect him to show up on Raw next week, and I like it that way - it'll be more of a surprise when he returns.

Actually, a lack of writers would probably be a big help for WWE, as they'd have to make all the wrestlers cut good promos - what Meltzer's seemingly saying is that the writers aren't in the union that's striking, so they won't be affected.

Yeah, it was at the very end, within the last half hour. Basically look for Grant, Jason, Steve, some other lady and Elijah to be standing around, and then Elijah will be running off arms flailing like a little girl shortly after that. He throws his cell phone and runs screaming down the hallway.

Oh man it was brutal, it was like 95 degrees outside and the air conditioner broke so it was hot as fuck inside, they couldn't even find a fan for Bret. It smelled like a mixture of dick cheese and bologna in that place. My cousin and me were in the last group to get an autograph and you could tell he was tired and didn't want to be their anymore but he was still really nice, but you had to say something to him first otherwise he wouldn't even look up.

People had Bret signing ECW Replica Belts... why i haven't the slightest clue. Oh and there was this broad who had an ethopian sugar water gunt yes gunt wearing a short skirt where her entire cottage cheese ass was hanging out (think rikishi) and kept bending over. Oh and she had her 6-8 year old daughter with her. I vomited... true story.

Wow, that sounded like a fucked up signing. When I went to the TNA fanfest, there were people who brought giant bags filled up with action figures. I remember seeing an Edge figure in one of the bags. I don't know what people think when they have wrestlers sign stuff like that.

The hell with co-creating it, count me in "for two"? I'd like to make a number of those documentaries chronicling what the hell is wrong with American society. It's the "stereo-typical" wrestling fans that Mike speaks of that sometimes makes me ashamed to be such a long-time fan myself. Now that the Monday Night Wars are over and wrestling's popularity has dwindled it's no longer trendy to be a wrestling fan and the previous perception (again as Mike detailed) has resurfaced fresh into the minds of the masses. The Benoit incident certainly didn't help either.

The last two shows I've went to were SD/ECW and WM23. SD/ECW had your typical jerk-off there wearing his championship spinner belt over his heavy gut, his long greasey hair and his clear lack of hygeine. He commented on almost every match and taunted the Miz by saying "You wouldn't last a week at our wrestling school!" Ah... yes, not that I like the Miz, but I'm sure there's at least some reason why he's in the WWE and not training at your school. WWE doesn't just let any regular sized idiot stay in the ring for long with zero ring ability, who knows what happened to the Boogeyman this time. My favorite part was when my girlfriend and I, along with the guys sitting next to us got him to spin his stupid spinner belt. The asshole thought he was the greatest thing in town and had no idea that people were making fun of him.

WM23 wasn't quite as bad, but there were plenty of people with their replica belts on. The best part is when two of those guys are wearing the same replica belt and end up having a staredown of sorts. That part *needs* to go on the documentary.

This could be great. I'd also like documentaries on people that voted for Bush, Wal-mart employees, Ted Nugent fans, college athletes that pinned their life on making the pros and then didn't, and people with an 8th grade education or lower. :whistle2:k Hmm, upon further inspection, this may all be the same documentary. Either way, there's a reason why America is looked up as one of the dumbest countries in the world, these documentaries will delve into that.
