That was a fast 500.
About Davey, I think the biggest thing holding him back is his size. He's a hell of a worker, but he's about 5'8" in boots. He makes up for it in build (for a guy his size, he's pretty solid), but I could see him having trouble looking strong against guys twice his size.
'Course, they said the same thing about Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko.
Richards has a great look though aside from his height, and you're right, he does play the comedy heel role well (he's almost like a Christian or an Alex Shelley), but truth be told, I don't think I've -ever- heard him talk (blame PWG, because he doesn't cut promos there).
His talking style has a lot of range. I've heard him do Kurt Angle type promos and Chris Benoit type ones as well. At Driven, after he taking a bit of a beating, he fell to the ropes and asked, "Where am I?" and although it clearly was fake, the timing was still funny.
He's still new to the business. I think he only has like 3 years of professional wrestling under his belt and that's nothing at all but he already looks golden and in my honest opinion, Davey Richards is probably going to end up being a ROH World Champion.
