X-Men 3- Pretty good, I enjoyed it for the most part...there were a few bad parts, but it was pretty good overall.

Inside Man- Garbage...one of the first movies I almost walked out on (I was with someone so I couldnt)

The Da Vinci Code- Wow, this was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. I laughed more in that movie than I have in a movie for a long time. By the end of the movie I was hoping Tom Hanks would have died just to make it somewhat interesting.

Ahh...going to be going back and re-reading the past threads since I'm starting to run out of films and recommendations finally. I've seen an ungodly amount of films this year and in qutie a short time thanks to the previous threads and thsi one. I'll just start off with the ones I have qutie recently and will give a quick rating rather than a synopsis and review like I usually do.

Brazil - I have seen this movie an ungodly amount of times. Truly a visceral and surreal film. Very cerebral film that no matter my countless viewings of the film, I am able to pick more and more. Truly a great and quite underrated film in the general public. This is truly a great work of art from an absolutely great director. It still amazes me how The Fisher King can be so popular though.
The Fisher King solid 8/10 from probably my favorite director
Good Night and Good Luck another solid 8/10
Fever Pitch - 6.5/7-10 Good catch on HBO. I'm still shocked that Fallon is actually not too bad in this film.
Xmen3 6/10 I'll post my take on it in the Xmen thread, but let me just say don't come in expecting much.
Serenity - I love this film. I have seen it so many times now.

By the way guys, does modium still post or does anyone have a link to his blog?
Shaun of the Dead.

It was fucking awesome. That Queen scene in the bar was amazing.
First time? I love that movie. I've seen it so many times. I love the ending and how they call the day of the zombies z-day. Just a hilarious and undervalued movie.
Delicatessen, it's weird, I'll give it that. Very Brazil-Gillian, and I don't like Brazil, so I am underwhelmed by it.
Must find and watch now.

I agree about how awesome it is.

I wasnt expecting too much out of it when I first watched it, but wow, it really suprised me. Definately one of my favorite zombie movies.

Also, I like at the end where

He goes out to the backyard and starts playing video games with his zombified friend

It (Delicatessen) is a french film which was just recently released officially for Region 1, an earlier work of the director of Amélie.

X-Men: The Last Stand. Honestly, I was so disappointed I almost cried. Only three things made it bearable: the fact that me and my girlfriend ate a bag of popcorn during the credits/extra scene that somebody left behind, that we got free movie passes because the theater fucked up a sweet scene, and that the Superman Returns trailer kicked ass.

Gross. You ate unattended popcorn?

It's a well known fact that Mr.A sucks. Feel free to ignore him and rest well knowing that X-Men 3 does, infact, kick servere amounts of ass. fucking a' right.
Leon and This is Spinal Tap. Though I didn't pay much attention to the second half of ST for reasons I will only hint at.
TEh buTTsechz!?

Has my little Subby-Poo growed up? ;) .... or atleast, have his girlfriends?
Gross. You ate unattended popcorn?
Yeah, but it was basically a full bag from the guy who sat next to me, otherwise I wouldn't have touched it. And I thought Kayden had grown up just a leeeetle bit, but I guess not. Go you!

:whistle2:k... I know you are but what am I? :whistle2:s

movies i saw last week:

The Warriors - B-, predictable but fun, not tiring at all.
Glengarry Glen Ross - C, excellent cast but felt empy and short of substance
The Party - A, one of my favorite comedies ever, and no matter how many times I see it, i laugh like crazy
Il Postino - A+, one of my favorite movies ever, foreign films own my soul.
All About My Mother - see above
Da Vinci Code - C-, the most mediocre movie i've ever seen in my life.

Trainspotting - 9.5/10
Spellbound (2002) - 9/10
Havoc - 7.5/10
Big Momma's House 2 - 4.5/10
The Ringer - 5.5/10 (would of gotten a higher score if not for the stupid ending)
Shopgirl - 8.5/10
Hoodwinked - 2/10
Hustle and Flow - 9/10

just watched

Le Samouri - A+, beautiful movie, just plain beautiful. The shots were amazing. I was blown away by how engaging and deep this movie was with such little dialogue. long live the French.

Poseidon- Pretty good, I enjoyed it since I like those types of movies. 8/10
Mission Impossible 3- This movie was really good IMO...tons of action which I like 8.5/10
V for Vendetta- Watched it again for the 3rd time since its at the cheapo theater. 9/10

I watched most of X-Men and X2 last night, just so if I see X3 I know what the hell is going on. I liked both of them, especially X2 because of Nightcrawler.

The Break Up - I'm conflicted. Spoilers below.

So it was a pretty funny movie, mainly because of Vince Vaughn, and I enjoyed it, but the end.. it was really, really unexpected If you want to know, in the end shown in theatres (because apparently multiple ones were filmed), he does not get the girl back. Funny movie though.. was great to see Jen's ass.
