That isn't bad at all. Personally, I don't have much of a commute but I know people who's commute takes 3x as long on a good day.
Yeah, but this is in Kansas. There isn't any traffic to speak of.

It's only about 8 miles.

I wish we didn't have traffic here in Michigan. Traffic jams suck, and that's the way of life here because of all of the construction.

Going a mile on the highway in five minutes when you know you're going to be late to work is one of the most frustrating experience I've had. :bomb:

So what happened in the VGC thread Roufuss? You bitched about the guy selling bootleg shit and having high prices and as a retort he made a coupon code called ROUFUSSDUFUSS?

Pretty much.

The thread is worth a read though, definitely.

I'd explain it more but I gotta do some work and head to Moviestop.

If we printed off your avatar and took it into VGC, do you think he'd honor the coupon in-store? :whistle2:k

We should all move to Kansas. Maybe Sub can hook us up with jobs and a place to live. :whistle2:k

I'd take that as a badge of honor. You should change your user title to that, Roufuss.

I haven't seen the thread but the guy sounds like a real joker.

I didn't know Circuit City was having a 2 for $30 on games $19.99 and under.

I bought:

Activision Hits: Remixed (PSP)
Lumines II (PSP)
Scarface Collector's Edition (PS2)
Black (PS2)

That's what I plan to do by the end of this year, actually. :D

Speaking of deal hunting - I hit a few yard sales this morning and picked up two lionel train magnets that will be a perfect side Father's Day gift. Dad has a set of Lionels from his childhood that he still hauls out every few Xmases. One of the magnets is a replica of the sticker label on the side of the old boxes.

Other than that got a Krakauer book I haven't read (he wrote Into Thin Air and Into The Wild which are both excellent) and a side table that should work for me.

Most of the sales were decently priced but there were a few that were ridiculous, but they are good for a chuckle. One lady wanted $75 for an All Clad griddle pan that goes for about $100 in stores. Good luck with that. About 2/3rds of her stuff was labeled 'Never Used!' as well. It's possible she could get somewhere around $75 on eBay, but then she needs to just sell it on eBay.
We should all move to Kansas. Maybe Sub can hook us up with jobs and a place to live. :whistle2:k
I make $7.50 an hour. You probably don't want any job I can help you get.

You'd have to change your username then since you won't be in Joliet anymore.
Yeah, but this is in Kansas. There isn't any traffic to speak of.

For some more perspective, downtown is about 12 miles away and my summer school is about 10 miles away.

That's how far out in the fucking boonies I live.

I also don't have to live with my parents, work for my parents or have to live in KansASS. Some nerve, at least Nebraska is known for corn, what do you have? Pedophelia?
On the other hand, you have to live in Minnesota. ;)
I bet the cost of living isn't as high as in Massachusetts, though.

True. I'm not even sure what it is you do, dc. :whistle2:k

I wish I still worked for my dad, at the end there I was making $50/hr for chargable time.

Kansas has wheat I think, but not around here. Around here it just has upper middle class assholes and shopping centers.

Mmmmm...midwest cornfed girls...

The BeeGees had a song called Massachusetts... It sucked, much like I imagine living in Massachusetts would.

You could just switch it to GMOOJ and make it stand for Got myself out of joilet. Yeah, I'm that lazy.

Too slow. Smoke less. ;)

Joliet really is a shithole. I rode a train through it and it was really depressing. This is coming from someone who lives in NW Minneapolis, a region renoun for its gang and drug related crime.

 You're really bringing the hate this afternoon.

Gabba hey!! Trade-in value on the 20 gig 360 HD dropped another $5... so that's nice. On the other hand, I scored a nice deal on some high quality unterpantz. So there's that.

And in other news, modern life is still rubbish.

I'll bring the love if you bring the lube.
 You're really bringing the hate this afternoon.
So today is going to be pretty decent. Going to head down to the oceanfront and just chill out down there. My family is heading down there to my uncles house right near the water and they are going to cook me dinner :D.

Semen always needs to be mentioned; especially when it shouldn't be.
I thought that went without saying...
I spent today driving around the city looking for a job, to come to a depressing conclusion: there really aren't very many places that are hiring. In an hour and a half of looking, I found maybe five or six stores that needed help.

This having money to eat thing may prove more difficult than I'd imagined. :whistle2:k

Taco Bell!

Because gas prices got higher. My Brother-in-law rides a bike about 6 miles total to work, and back everyday. He's also a weed smoker. I'm not sure how he does it.

You could always rob prostitutes. They hide their money in a place no one will ever find; their G-spot.

I'd rather not explain that one when I get asked where the money came from and what it's covered in.

Sigh...anyone else hate their birthday?
This whole week leading up to it has just sucked.

The $200 I got kinda helps, but not that much.

None of my friends even know when my birthday is! I dont want them doing anything fancy for me so I dont let them know when it is.

Also, I dont participate in their birthdays either.

Yeah, there's way too much obligation when you know your friends' birthdays. I don't even mention that mine is coming up, because I really don't want my friends buying me stuff. It may not be awkward to them, but to me, it creates a situation that I don't want to have to deal with.
