I spent today driving around the city looking for a job, to come to a depressing conclusion: there really aren't very many places that are hiring. In an hour and a half of looking, I found maybe five or six stores that needed help.

This having money to eat thing may prove more difficult than I'd imagined. :whistle2:k
Yeah, trying to find a job in MI is a pain in the nutsack. Nothing around me is hiring.

Home. Yay.

In uTorrent, is a queued seed just not being uploaded, is there something I need to do to bring the status back to "seeding"?

Being away for 5 days with nothing but Settlers of Catan, Smash Bros, Munchkin, and fast food to subside upon almost makes me wish I was still there, but only kinda.

Haroz.

Dumped my last 12 DVD's I wanted to get rid of at Moviestop.

Got Ghost Rider Extended Cut for 4 bucks, Welcome Back Kotter Season 1 for $6, and put $20 down on Psych Season 1 - I'll probably only end up paying less than $10 for it, which is awesome.

Also picked up my free copy of Fantastic Four Extended Edition I didn't get last week.

Just got me some pants. I need to go get some more tomorrow (got 3 pairs today). Waiting on my friend to get back from his daughters birthday so we can play some gears.

Hm... trying to get rid of every movie I own that got double dipped into an extended cut - I don't care about shit like V for Vendetta, where the special edition was just bonus shit I'll never watch, but more like stuff like Gladiator, where they put footage back into the movie.

I just found out Serenity is getting a re-release, but i'm not sure if it's extended or not.

I might just dump a ton of movies that also have special editions in general (like Batman Begins and V for Vendetta) and just pick up the ultimate versions. Once I get to NY, there will be nowhere close to me where I can just dump 40 movies all at once that have the selection of Moviestop.

Plus, it'll be less stuff to take with me :D

With a Roufuss coupon, right? ;)

Damn I disappear for a few days from CAG (mostly) only to return and find out I missed some EPIC-ness known as the VGC scandal. Damn.

EDIT: Roufuss the upcoming Serenity SE just has a few new extras. Same film as before...

... which I didn't like. Firefly > Serenity FTW!

Haha, yea, I used the coupon for free shipping because I drove my ass to Moviestop to pick up the movies

Thanks, I will probably dump Serenity now and just get the SE - I think if I get a movie, I want to get the Special Edition of it. I kind of want to reset my DVD collection much like what I did with my games collection - just keep the best of the best and slowly expand out, and only get the best version of what's available. I've used Moviestop to get so many special editions for free or a few bucks (Pan's Labyrinth SE cost me $3, so did Ghost Rider) that I want to have an SE whenever one is available.

Either that, or I just want a reason to sell half my movie collection so I don't have to haul them across the US ;)

Drove? I thought you just... you know... ran on your paws or something. ;)
Damn I have 3 parties to go to tonight.
And yet, you still want to get out of Joliet. Curious...

If memory serves, I think Stitch can fly spaceships. Driving shouldn't be much of an issue if he can manage that.

Hell yeah I've got a spaceship.

While casing out the local TRU for the B2G1 I spied upon a Wario Ware Twisted and it was ten bucks. Lucky day for me.

Also, on the coupon there's a number you call and input a number and TRU will give you a code for $3 off your next purchase. I haven't called yet. But the cashier pointed it out. I guess it's for doing their survey and the like.

I hope it works online. See, I was hoping to pick up Hotel Dusk, Etrian Oddessy, and either Chocobo or Squeak Squad. But my TRU doesn't have Etrian Oddesy. Which sucks. SO if the B2G1 is online I'll oder it from there and offset shipping with the $3 coupon.

There's this commercial currently where this guy is mountain climbing, and when he gets to the top, there's a Dell computer. "What is a Dell computer doing here?" he asks. "This is surprising."

The next scene is him standing in Walmart - still in full gear, I might add - looking at the same computer. "Ahh," he muses. "A Dell computer in Walmart. This is surprising, but better."

He then walks off without purchasing the damn thing, which I find highly amusing.

I imagine no one else finds it as amusing as me.

I just played a bit of Odin Sphere. It hasn't bowled me over yet to say the least. Some things annoy me like the 1 minute of fighting you do before the stage ends and stupid map system.

I just notced City of God is on sale for ten bucks tomorrow at BB. That's the cheapest it's been I think.

Must buy tomorrow.
I might have to pick that one up, too.

As the 33rd President of these United States, the great Harry S. Truman, once said to me, "I had faith in Israel before it was established, I have in it now. I believe it has a glorious future before it - not just another sovereign nation, but as an embodiment of the great ideals of our civilization." I think that applies very much to the matter at hand.

I just saw the most awesome HDTV. The Philips 42PFL722.

It was so impressive I'm seriously thinking of returning my Westy that's being delivered this week and spending the extra $600 to get the philips. It is one of the best tv's I've ever seen in that price range. I mena, it's fucking amazing. It beat every Tv on the floor.

I've looked at a lot of Tv's the last two months and it just blew me away. It was fantastic.

It's like my old boss from Louisiana used to tell me, "How come chickens is $6 up here, and only $3 back home in Louisiana? Guess chickens are just easier to catch back home."

Wow, hard choice:

Fallout marathon (Fallout 1 + 2 + Tactics) or Baldur's Gate marathon (BG 1 + Sword Coast + BG 2 + Throne of Bhaal).

Hmmmmmm.
I would skip Fallout Tactics and go F1, F2. BG2 + Throne of Bhaal.
Fallout Tactics is awesome and gets a lot of undeserved hate, imo.

It's not like I'm switching CD's, I've got all three Fallout's on one DVD so if I'm gonna play one, might as well go through them all ;)

I'm packing to move and want to get most of these PC games packed, so I'm only going to pick one set (all my Fallout's are on one DVD, all my BG's are on $ DVD's in a case) and play through it in the next two weeks while I'm sitting here waiting to move.

Installed all three games -

Gotta love how the HUMONGOUS installation for Fallout 2 is only 650 mb, and that Fallout Tactics requires a 2mb video card for best performance

I liked Fallout Tactics, but BG2 is better.

If I wasn't currently going through Arcanum, I'd be going through either Fallout or Baulders Gate. Or Planescape Torment, which is probably the best of the bunch.
hi OTT. teh 3v1|_ also known as my father's mother is finally gone.
Neat av.

Like...GONE gone? As in flush down the toilet gone?

Yea, I've got all of those too. I think I've got everything great from when PC RPG's boomed and came into their own:

All the Baldur's Gate's
All the Fallout's
All the Icewind Dale's
Aracanum
Planescape: Torment

It's sad that is pretty much all there was :( Those are some of the finest RPG's I've ever played... it's such a fucking shame Black Isle folded (I know Arcanum wasn't Black Isle, but IIRC some key members worked on it).

Wow, just found out they were making a Baldur's Gate 3 along with Fallout 3 and it got canned. Had no idea.
