The 2013/2014 NBA Thread (LBJ is a Cav)

From what I've heard they want to be able to evaluate him over the summer before free agency begins to see if he can still play mentally and physically.  He's signed through next year, but is non-guaranteed.

 
Houston Melo, well then again that's gotta be a little tough on melo to even make a comparison.

That's the way okc always has been and reason they haven't amounted to shit in years despite constantly being hyped. Its funny seeing the commentators gush over this 25 lead then act dumbfounded when okcs overrated ass chokes it away in 1 quarter. Dribble dribble pull up jumper against 4 defenders has been okcs go to play for about 5 years. You know Okcs being favored when Derek fucking fisher is getting calls from flopping against Mike Miller.

Miami started losing too so they were able to hang onto it.

They've been struggling pretty bad since Granger got traded. I bet the lack of leadership is a big part of their struggles.

 
Things went south before trading Granger or signing Andrew Bynum. 

The style of play changed almost overnight, they had just completed a dominate home stand in mid-January ending with a win over the Clippers. They then went on a West coast swing starting with the Golden State Warriors on January 20th.  Something changed between the game against the Clippers (January 18th) and the game against Golden State.  They were no longer playing defense and they were trying to run with teams.  They won against the Warriors that night, but the style of play had definitely changed.  They lost three of the next five games and the slide had begun.

 
Nobody has an answer for Aldridge at all.

I cringe every time Howard attempts anything at offense beyond 5 ft

Despite their recent struggles, people seem to forget that Indiana dating back to last year has always had a little trouble with the hawks even as bad as they are. Didn't Atl play them hard last year as well?

Damn, that was a good game. Houston pulled a great choke job in the 4th. The refs were equally terrible on both ends, so I don't want to hear any crying from Houston fans about Howard's sixth foul.

My father went to sleep since he thought the game was already over. Lol, he missed one great game.

They're capable of going to the finals, the way they're playing they will be lucky to get out of this round. They seem to always struggle against aggressive point guards; Teague, Rose, Walker, Dragic, etc.

If they go out in the first round Vogel will almost certainly be fired, Stephenson will probably end up in NY if Melo bolts and I wouldn't be surprised if Hibbert, who is rather disgruntled about his role and Paul's offensive decisions, requests a trade. They have some serious issues that should have been taken care of long ago.

 
Funny Kevin love got hit way worse in a game winning situation and no whistle Durant tries it and ref almost choked on his whistle cause he couldn't blow it fast enough

I would still call it a foul though. OT. Wow, I only started watching this the last 20 seconds.

 
Could you imagine if this wasn't OT? That out of bounds call would have went to okc when that ref was standing right there and sees it bounce off of Chuckbrooks leg clear as day.

In what fucking way is that a jump ball? Gibson has clear control of the ball for about a minute both he and thibs call timeout, Nene just decides to randomly Bison dive on top and doesn't even grab the ball just grabs Gibson and i think Crawford is like Jump ball! lol. Good lord these refs are off to such a terrible start these playoffs. Then again these east teams are so bad.

Lol Barkley acting like LMA wouldn't be able to go for 40 in the next game, hes looking like he can to me. Houston just does not have an answer for him period.
