The 2013/2014 NBA Thread (LBJ is a Cav)

A private individual can be banned from a stadium/arena so I'm sure they can ban him from all nba games. You don't have a right to attend any sporting event.

Idiot scorekeeper can't put the right amount of fouls up on the board, Joey Crawford runs up to Durant, rips the ball from his hands and screams while Durant is about to shoot his foul shot, Durant rattled misses next shot.

Ball goes out of bounds off Memphis, hits the ground with 3.1 on the clock, idiot scorekeeper/ref puts 2.9 on the clock, OKC misses getting game winning shot to count by .2 of a second. WOW.

Easy to say that after the fact---however there were a handful of games played between when the remarks went public and Tuesday. Funny how no one boycotted those games but were all lined up to boycott games AFTER the punishment was announced

Sterling was getting an NCAAP award cause he donated a lot of money to them in grants over the years.

They can ban him as an owner from going to a practice or sitting courtside. Once he sells he can buy a ticket like anyone else, but I doubt they'd let him into a Clipper home game regardless.

So the ball wasn't deflected, but Blatche was clearly fouled while trying to pass the ball... that had an effect on the path of the pass, which ended up going in the backcourt. That's a tough way to lose a game.

Refs have been super terrible these playoffs and sadly the sterling situation is taking away focus from it. That foul was pretty damn obvious. Its amazing how little D Howard seems to have learned throughout the years. Ill have to re watch it but did these moronic fans seriously boo Jeremy Lin when he came onto the court? Team deserved to be swept. Wheres the boos for your fraud ass "superstar" whose been nothing but a bearded Jr smith this entire series.

Speaking of Rockets fans, where's Pimp Limp been? He's been just about the most active poster all season here. I hope he's just ducking us because the Rockets are blowing and not because something bad happened to him.

I'm loving this, Lin is the leading scorer and these stupid ass fraud fans are now cheering him after booing him when he 1st checked in.

Of course lopez continues to get shoved and elbowed all series long and not a single call. LOL Aldridge fouled twice

Good thing Antoni is gone but Lil Buss will probably just hire another shitty coach.

Since when is Houston known as clutch city?

Since their back to back championship years. I agree with you on D'antoni. We need to see George Karl back on the sideline.

Mike Dunleavy confirmed.

Clutch city refers to when they were relevant almost 20 years ago.
Wonder what Dunleavy Sr is up to these days...he's been away from the game entirely for some time now huh?

Also, after thinking about it, I'd like to see a Van Gundy on the sideline...preferably Jeff but I'm not sure he has the desire to do it anymore. And I'm used to his bold statements while commentating.

Oh, so it's a throwback shirt from when "The Dream" was playing. They should just stick to the generic themed giveaway t-shirts.

lol jokelahoma actually playing with a brain.

Stupid rip through shit like that is why everyone will always call Durant a beta.

Rick Carlisle is a damn great coach. He managed to make a yearly dumbass like Monta very efficient.N

Never thought a Wince Carter flop would have changed the momentum so much.

Wow at that last sequence, talk about playing your best James Harden defense. Mavs should be ashamed of themselves for that and hopefully get blown out in game 7, wtf was that. literally could have got T-Macd

Damian Lillard just kicked Clutch City right in the dick.

I know it didn't go to seven games, but that was one of the best playoff series ever, in my opinion.

LMAO guess who is calling the defensive assignments. Lillard just said fuck you to the nba and its refs

Probably the most clutch player on the Blazers and you let him get wide open Lol
That was a dumb switch by Beverly and Parsons. I'm stumped why they'd do that. Beverly is easily the best defender on that team. Parsons got smoked! Poor guy went from savior to nothing really quick.

Zach Randolph has been suspended for Game 7 of OKC/Memphis.
What a lame suspension...we're having possibly the best first round of all-time and this weak suspension is going to make it tough on the Grizz to upset OKC. That would've been an epic Game 7. Bad call by the league though.

Rick Carlisle is a damn great coach. He managed to make a yearly dumbass like Monta very efficient.N
I'm going to assume this was before his idiotic move to throw the ball away with 1.3 seconds left...that could've ended nasty. Anyways, with your original statement, I couldn't agree with you more. Ellis was basically a tertiary option, at best, when we missed out on big FA after FA. I hated the signing when it happened because I was used to the 'yearly dumbass' as you put it. A guy that throws up 40 shots a game, plays absolutely no defense, turnover prone, doesn't have enough skills in the passing game to be a PG, etc. Not exactly a guy I want on my team. Rick Carlisle deserves all the credit in the world for turning him into a very nice #2. Not sure how I feel about him long term yet, but this season he's the reason we're still alive and have a chance (albeit a very slim chance) to pull an upset.

Yea I don't get why they switched either. That was a disaster waiting to happen. Also Jones did a pretty poor job denying the inbound too

Congrats Vincent Flopter for the Victory. 8 vs. 5 and still was pretty close. Spurs in 7.
Vince might have flopped but to say the refs gave them the game is bullshit. Up until the fourth the Spurs had way more trips to the line.

If the refs were truly in the bag they don't get the man advantage at the end.

Don't get mad that Monta have it all.

Damn the guy managing the clock didn't start it until Lillard jumped off the floor to shoot. Talk about lag. If he started it correctly the buzzer would have gone off right around just before/during/after the shot was released. Probably just before, watching it in slow motion.

Well it looks like Hibbert finally gives a damn. Pacers rolling

Edit

Haven't watched the game, but according to some people, refs are a huge part to why Indiana is winning

Depends on who you talk to.

Big part of it is Atlanta is not hitting a large percentage of their three point attempts like they have most of the series.

Watched the end of the 3rd and a little of the beginning of the 4th. Yea teh Hawks are just bad today, such a crappy way for them to end the season

Well, they have a new NBA record for 3 point attempts in a playoff game at 43.

Edit:

Correction: It was 44 attempts.  They were 11 - 44 on three pointers.
