Where is the weekly ad?
They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).


TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

anyone know for sure if all the alan wake 2 dlc is on disc for ps5? i see online some conflicting information, but seems that it's just an unlock after a download...just wondering in case it comes back in stock used.

The free shipping threshold discourages buying games that are less than $40. Not many are going to find 6 cheap games they want for free shipping and don’t already have that are also relatively good deals.

Pretty sure only the first DLC is on disc, while the 2nd one requires a download

So not ideal, but at least it's not a voucher, so still worth buying pre-owned

Incorrect—I can confirm that both DLCs plus the Deluxe Edition bonus content (outfits and weapon skins) are on-disc for PS5. The only voucher is for the PS5 version of Alan Wake Remastered (the first one).

There was someone affiliated with Remedy I recall speaking on this months ago that the 2nd DLC would require a download/update, and then this website (they're also on Twitter, been really useful for other games as well) further confirmed that that ended up being the case.

Sorry for the confusion, you're right. I forgot that was the case and misread that part of your post.
 
I renewed by pro membership and they emailed me that my order was canceled 20 minutes later. That didn't stop them from authorizing a $25 transaction on my card, though. So, for now until hopefully some time tomorrow, I cannot have a pro membership and I am down $25.

So, shop at your own risk I suppose.

Yep, that's happened to me. Place 3 orders in a row in a short period of time, then system starts to block orders. Seems to happen regardless of payment type, but be careful with trade credit as it may be taking it out each time you attempt to place the order. At least with credit card, it will add a pending auth for each attempt. Generally it seems to be fine after a day or so, but there appears to be a 3 order limit for some time period, for whatever reason.
 
12 games over 3 orders here. What made this time around good were the preowned price points. None of that [New: $19.99 / Used: $26.99] nonsense we used to often see during sales.

I was about to ask if you buy used more than new.

As a collector, I’ve never bought used in my life, particularly to video games. Unless the item is new/sealed/mint, I wouldn’t even take it for free or as a gift.
 
Plan on going to a few gamestops to take advantage of B2G1, think there will be any luck? From what I have seen online orders just take stock out of the stores to be shipped so wondering if all the orders today will have taken all the good stock lol
 
I did 2 orders and am hoping everything comes with the original case. Games are a mix of Switch, Xbone/Series X, and PS5 as I just bought a PS5 last weekend with my trade in credit. First order was:

-Marvel VS Capcom 3 Ultimate
-Stellar Blade
-Tears of the Kingdom
-Pokemon Legends Arceus
-Metaphor Refantazio
-Dragonball Sparking Zero

Second order was:

-Tekken 8
-Atelier Sophie 2
-GrandBlue Relink
-Used vertical PS5 stand and a new copy of GTA V for PS5 to get free shipping.

I noticed a few of the used games I saw there last week showed up as out of stock this morning. Only 3 games out of 9 were showing up as available nearby. Some of the Switch games I looked at had multiple copies in store too.

Depends on how many they have there fulfilling online orders. They are opening at 5am, if no one shows up then yeah the associate will be pulling from stock and fulfilling. You just got to get there early enough that they haven’t gotten to online orders yet.

i am assuming not many are showing at their local GameStop to actually shop at 5 am.

That just means the system allocated the store items to an online order or a pickup order. If you manage to get there before they fulfill those orders, you get it. There is no one there fulfilling orders today and I truly doubt anybody is getting there before 5 am to get a head start on them. They will handle them as they have time. If you buy the item before they fulfill the order, they just have mark that they don’t have it and the online order goes elsewhere.

many times of they only have 1 copy it won’t show online, I am curious to see how many folks actually arrive at 5am to buy games. May be a good time to go grab some before orders get picked.

it just depends on the game, but stuff i bought in this sale, avatar, jedi survivor, sonic frontiers, games like that i don't worry about it. buy, play, trade back in when gamestop has promos going on. switch games i buy new because i never get a case from gamestop for used switch games, or stuff that interests me with a deluxe/special edition i will buy new, when it gets cheap enough.

Gotta pad the collection 😌. I also purchase some of these titles on sales at other retailers, so I'll return those and the b2g1 comes out way cheaper.

Yeah, but I can easily swap the cases in between visits. I rather do that at the cheap price. I keep a note of incomplete cases and switch them out whenever I see em.
