Where is the weekly ad?
They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).


TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

How does returning for B2G1 work again? They need all 3 for the return I assume?

Willing to take the gamble on some Switch gamds, but if it doesn't pan out for any one of them regarding the cases, just want to know my options lol

The last b2g1 on Black Friday prices were much better. If it holds until Thursday modern warfare 3 is back up to $29 trade credit or over $20 cash. I didn’t pick it up at $10 but wild if you did.

Put in for two returns from two separate orders during the Black Friday B2G1. Should save about $10-15 between the two games after repurchase...and get Space Marines 2 now for $30 with them.

Alone in the Dark $15 at Walmart trading in for $22 base, Suicide Squad trading in for $14 for those that got it with the last buy 2 get 1 and regret it now...hopefully these values hold

also mario odyssey and mario u for switch are up to $27 base, might be the best we see for these older mario games...

Interesting. I do have an extra copy I got for someone and they already had it.

How does that work? $24 value requires pro account and given as in store credit? Does it require some manipulation to trade towards a game for a 30% boost?

$22 base, $24.20 with pro, $28.6 with pro and preorder or new game purchase
 
Went to pickup some video game stuff off of Offerup. Visited a GS store only to then realize they don't open on Xmas today...now, I've missed my chance to score Shadow Generations XSX online for about $25 post-B2G1F...

Thanks. Trying to find something to pair with Switch Skyrim for my husband. I have basically everything else that I would want for Switch. Now I'm a little regretful of not buying that last Costco PS5 disc bundle that we'd been talking about (but I don't think it was the deal it should've been, $499 for disc system plus controller plus charging station, we likely won't need controller #2, Costco just has the best return policy if I change my mind, lol).

astro bot was out of stock as soon as the sale went live.

Also good luck to yall ordering online. Always a gamble in buying preowned stuff
 
I bought a few of the Atelier games. I’m still mad that I missed out on the PS4 veraions of Ryza 1 & 2 and Ryza 1 & 3 On Switch. I would like the all three games on one console.
 
So I picked up BlOps6 for 29.99 (32 ish after tax) a few weeks ago..and see that it trades in for 30 base right now...39 towards preorder/new game.

Based on the so so reviews and since it's still sealed and I prob won't be playing it for awhile now...I'm guessing I should just trade it in, no?

And yes..I know I have to open it first.

If you arent gonna play it within the next year why not? It will probably drop to $20 at some point like all the other COD titles.

Not my stores. I asked both of them like last month or so and they told me straight up no. And one of them has the more "chill" employees, so it wasn't like them being a hard hardass or anything. One employee said the reason was because someone abused the policy apparently

Its a corporate policy for just the holidays. You can look it up on their subreddit for confirmation.
 
Fwiw expecting their employees to know anything is a reach. Half don't know what retro stores are or where one is. Most don't know or generally play dumb about trade bonuses (and act surprised when they happen).

Decent TIV today especially with pre-orders. I traded in some games I was done with, not going to get around to and recent BF purchases that were regrets. And came out ahead with some extra credit. Not bad, not bad at all!
 
Aside from price-matching, what is the likelihood/policy of price-honoring? Say there is a game with a $24.99 price sticker from BF/CM, and current online price is $39.99. Would you be able to purchase at the old price? Or, does the system automatically readjust the price discrepancy and then you're just SOL?

just wanted to comment on this that i was wrong. the website does show the special edition on the trade in page, but when you trade it in, $22 base is the value and it shows up as just the crew motorfest regular edition.

Gamestop trade in listings get wonky sometimes with the different editions. Sometimes when this happens the barcode won't scan, but the employee can search for it like they would if it was disc only and it always comes up and goes through without a problem
 
feel like there’s some games in the $18-$23 price range that are a decent buy. And recent release first party Nintendo game are always a good bet

Yea they are high for sure this time unlike I feel like the Black Friday b2g1 I traded in some titles from then, and picked up some titles but honestly if I hadn’t gotten extra trade credit I probably would not have bought anything. Here are some titles that when buying a new title get boosted to $35.10, it’s not all of them but some of them.
