Where is the weekly ad?
They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).

TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

Went to my local store looking for Reynatis and Advance Wars used, but no go. I was however shocked that they did actually have a brand new unopened copy of Reynatis deluxe edition for Switch. Basically only a couple of bucks difference, so I was happy to grab that. About $11 after the $5 pro cert, works for me!

complete bust in store, only found 1 of the $15/$30 games and it was used, and a game that i had traded in a couple weeks ago. found out there is going to be a buy 2 get 1 free on preowned ps4/xbox one/xbox series x games next week. they had the signs up but it didn't work so they adjusted one game since they put the signs up too early.

also, bravely default remaster has a physical listing in store now, still just a game key but at least you can use it for the boost now.

Went to 4 gamestops nearby, got most everything I wanted. All gutted open copies. Hadn’t been in store for awhile, interesting thing I noticed in 2 out of the 4 stores. A kid came in and asked where the Xbox games were, clerk says “in the back, we don’t have room for them anymore.” They had plenty of space if they wanted. Printed a list for the kid. The next store’s usual spot for the Xbox games up front was just empty shelves. I didn’t notice at the other two stores. I had heard a year or two ago, Microsoft possibly payed to have Xbox stuff moved closer to the front of all stores and more prominently displayed. Either that contract has ended and GameStop is playing hardball to try and get them to reinstate it, or an early sign that Microsoft is really pulling the plug, on physical at least?

Most stores are reorganizing to make a new section for nsw2. Also gs simply has a difficult time selling physical xbox games.

now that you mention it, the switch section at the store i was at had been moved to the xbox section (near the front of the store). I wasn't looking for xbox games, but I don't remember seeing them either. weird because i saw xbox 360 and ps3 games in a little section that was new.

Yeah, I hadn’t really realized it yet, but seeing that at the gamestop‘s, Xbox physical games are done. If any company stops physical game production due to tariffs, it’s going to be Microsoft. And they are not going to let a good excuse go to waste to do what they already tried and clearly want, this time with minimal blowback.

It is, you can just split the credit among multiple cards. I had 1 membership card + 10 trade credit cards filled up to $999 at the height of my skill.
Gotcha. Say I do a trade in and it’s over a thousand. Can I have them put $999 on one trade card and the rest on another in the same transaction.

I recall someone mentioning there's a code or something an employee can manually scan for the $25 off $250 if it doesn't get applied automatically. Anyone know what that is?

It doesn't get applied automatically, there's a barcode they need to scan, sometimes it's taped to their monitor or in a binder. There's a banner for it at the top of webpage

Drove around town and found Cold Steel 3/4, Rhapsody, Legend of Legacy, and Under Night In-birth. All gutted, but still good deals.
