Where is the weekly ad?
They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).


TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

I'm interested to see what the actual demand for Switch 2 will be once the FOMO wears off. As hyped as I am for it I have to admit I'm not noticing a ton of real world hype for it. I ended up canceling my extra preorder from Target because none of my friends wanted to buy it from me (and most of them have a Switch 1). Maybe there is something to the price complaints. We'll see.

if I wasn't paying 100% with gamestop credit I don't think I would bother
 
Gamestop making it so easy to pay for it is what makes all the talk about overpaying for it in other threads so funny to me, don't gotta wait for a discount when you can make your own lol

You are still paying for the full amount just with a different type of currency.

This logic is what keeps GS in business. You still paid X amount for the game originaly and still take X amount in store credit to pay for X amount in store for another product.

Having all the wires,no deep scratches on the console or missing covers. Keep in mind the original BC model will fetch the highest while non will get less and can verify that after trading 2 in
 
Gamestop is good for delivering console preorders right?

I got one from Walmart and one from GameStop. Thinking about cancelling my Walmart one (though i prefer it because it’s the bundle) so I can’t use my GS credit. But I don’t want to left with nothing.

Alternately, think I’ll have any problem unloading my GS one at cost?

I reset my password just to get in and reply to this because I went to my GS yesterday and the store manager told me that the 3 PM pre-ring is only for preorders and they’re not able to sell non-preorders until 12:01 AM. She did also say that this was based on the rules they had from their Nintendo rep though. She also said that they are not allowed to open the boxes for the Switch 2 to know their allotment without their Nintendo rep on-site so they don’t know how many they’ll have on hand yet.

I actually don’t believe her at all, but maybe that is the case for the 2 stores in my town and that it differs for every district?

I wouldn't believe her either.

GS employees like to make up nonsense, but then state it as fact.

In any case, I'll probably try and stop by after 3pm. Not too excited about making two trips in the same day, but have credit to burn.
