The Admiral's 2008 Fifth Annual NFL Pooltravaganza! TehMuff1nM4n is the Winne!
I would be onboard with just bypassing this week if danimal is. We can all pick detroit. Then we go straight to Playoffs.
Nah I was joking. I like the competition. ;)

*** Week 16 Winners!***
Danimal - BYE
Layziebones - Miami Dolphins
TehMuff1nM4n - New Orlean Saints

*** Week 16 Losers ***
RawisJericho : Pure Apathy - New York Jets
jello00 - Houston Texans
pimpinc333 - Houston Texans
CarolinaGamer07 - Houston Texans

Ya got untl Saturday to pick the last games of the season. Then we move to the playoffs.

It would have been funny if everybody lost except Danimal who would have won on a BYE.

Its been awhile since we had more losers than winners.

Oh, and I put in my pick already, Baltimore, but who knows if that will change.

I was on the edge with ATL. Still not sure...

I'm going back and forth between three teams- the two you guys have already picked, and New England.

I guess for now I'll go with the New England Patriots for Week 17.

I may change my mind on that, but if I do, I'll just edit this post. I just wanted to put something down before I get wrapped up in Christmas stuff and forget to put a pick in. That would be great; wait until Week 16 to use my bye, then forget to put a pick in for Week 17. I'm just dumb enough to pull something like that off.
Well, give him some credit. At least he was smart enough to pick against Detroit.
But Detroit is going to win this week. If this statement is correct I autowin the pool. Deal?

Chances are they will. Detroit has everything t play for and GB could care less. They aren't going to get a good player hurt, so we may just see 2nd stringers.

Actually, Green Bay will play all-out. It's the last game of the year and they're not making the playoffs so they have no reason to rest their regulars. If a good player gets hurt he has 7 months to heal ;)

Green Bay has no reason to play though. It doesn't matter one bit. Detroit doesn't want to be some loser 0-16 team. They really want to win it. Plus, Green Bay sucks anyway.

But do you think Green Bay wants to be known as the only team that lost to the shitty Lions?
But do you think Green Bay wants to be known as the only team that lost to the shitty Lions?
Exactly. Also, you know they'd love to be the team that puts the final nail in the coffin of an 0-16 season for a division rival. (Although I'm not sure if the Lions qualify as "rivals" for anybody, apart from teams like the 1976 Buccaneers or the 1962 New York Mets.)
So Baltimore, Atlanta, and New England will be the picks for this week? All different - this ought to be exciting!
I can see an upset in each game, especially the Falcons. Even though the Rams suck, they have a great record against the Falcons, so maybe my team can pull out a win.

So far both Atlanta and New England are in 3 point games at the half. Could be interesting...
Patriots just got a huge TD going into the wind to make it 10-0. I'm breathing a little easier. But just a little...
Looks like you are in playoffs. Btw, I can't see the Atlanta game, how the hell do you break a 72 yard run and fumble on the 2?

I don't know. Who did that?

By the way, FG Rams to make it 27-24, St. Louis. This one has the distinct feel of one of those "almost" upsets we've had so often this year. I still think Atlanta wins it.

Woot! Up by 4. And guess what else. TB and Chicago are most likely going to lose!!! :D:D EAGLES HAVE A SHOT AT PLAYOFFS

Touchdown, Atlanta. They're up 31-27. The Rams will have about 3:40 to play with, needing a TD to pull the upset. Break out the Tums, Muff1nM4n.

WOOOOT! GREAT DAY FOR ME. Lets hope Dallas goes down.

Oh and we just saw history with the 0-16 Lions
Oh and we just saw history with the 0-16 Lions
Wait, does that mean killbill789 joins us in the postseason? He did wisely choose Green Bay for his Week 17 debut pick.

Considering picking games in the playoffs is going to be a crapshoot I will ride my Eagles as far as they go. As far as the prize, I am willing to split it with you two if there are any things you want because there are only certain games I want.
Congrats Bread Boy and Drinkable Yogurt Man. We made it!
Drinkable Yogurt Man?! Don't remind of those copyright-infringing bastards who have made a mockery of my nickname. How I despise them. :bomb: Well, not really, but I did have the name first. ;)

But yeah, congratulations all around. I'd say getting through the whole season is a pretty cool accomplishment.

:D

Yeah, is this the first time we have made it to the playoffs? I wonder how long we will last.

It's going to be interesting. I think we'll all be a bit less confident with our picks than we've been; no more Detroit, Oakland, Kansas City, etc. to pick against.

I haven't decided who I want to go with in the wildcard round. All four games are a little scary for one reason or another.

Like I said before, I would like to finish it out just for fun. But I am willing to share games with others if I win. There are only a few games here and there that I actually want and I believe we all earned them

Haven't checked this thread in a while, but congratulations to the three of you (I was out a looong time ago)...on a happier note, I did with $850 in an ESPN Pigskin Pickem pool with a bunch of my buddies.

Congratulations, again.

Heading off to Toronto in a day or so for the International Bowl, so gonna make my Wild card pick of Philadelphia Eagles. I may try to be a douche though and go for Baltimore Ravens just so one of us gets knocked out. We shall see in 2 days time. But so there is no confusion EAGLES as of now.

I'm still going back and forth between three different teams, but I'm thinking I'd better post something now. The end of this week is going to be pretty busy for me, and I'd hate to knock myself out by not posting a pick at this point.

So I think I'll go with the Atlanta Falcons for the wildcard round.
Edited to add tiebreaker score: 41 points. I'm thinking 27-14, Atlanta.

Good luck, guys.

MAke sure to post a score along with your pick. In case someone else changes their pick to match yours.

The pool is not over. They have to survive the playoffs. There can be only one!

If you guys wanna duivvy up the pool that's fine. But I'm going to send everything to the winner and he can determine what to send on. There will be some more stuff than what was posted. For example, I have a spare Sex Pistols Guitar Hero shield, a spare GAB game, a zelda stylus, and a few other odds and ends.
