Which One? The screaming Donald Sutherland? Barker's Beauties? Billy D's Colt 45?

I'm just using this while I watch the old Superfriends. I loved it as a kid for the heroes and I love it as an adult for the unintentional comedy!

I don't think that Scorch is going to be angry with me. I mean, even if we get a tropical storm, I don't think it will be something that will be life threatening to me. Like I said, I've been through many of those. At the most, the house might have a power outage or something. We stocked up on food, water, and necessities, and the trucks have gas, so we should be OK.

Has Scorch been on the board recently? If he hasn't... anyone got a photo of him? Not that I'm afraid he'll come to my house and kick my ass... umm... whatever... yeah...

It's the regular set. I know the book saves space but I don't like the way it holds dvd's in those clear plastic holders. I prefer the box with the individual dvd cases. And in the future if I need to shrink down I'll just get double cases and fill those while using the the dvd covers I prefer.

I just got the book one because it was on sale at RS a while back ... I think it ended up being about $90. :cool:

This morning there was a hornet flying around my apt. This afternoon it's being feasted on by a spider. Thus, my minions have sdaved me the trouble of having to kill the hornet.

Step 1: Never buy a series by the volume unless all the volumes are out and it's on the cheap. Box sets = cheaper.
Step 2: Search preowned outlets to purchase anime.
Step 3: Use ebay and online stores to fill in your collection.
Step 4: Is a holiday weekend coming up? Check advfilms.com for their holiday sale.

I have more steps but I figure I'm just typing to myself now.

I agree with the box thing. In addition to my needing the box and whatever extras come in it, it's a good way to save money on a series. I just try to pretend like the episodes aren't out or for sale yet, and that's how I keep from buying them. Kind of like I'm doing right now with Samurai Champloo. :)

Even buying box sets can be pretty damn expensive, especially if its a longer series. Also if it could take a while for the box sets to come out. I've been interested in getting FMA and Samurai Champloo on DVD but they're still releasing individual volumes. If you're only interested in watching and not owning, a good way to go about is to find a Hollywood Videos or Block buster that has that series, sign up for their MVP plan for $10 a month and just rent them. Also, something that I've done in the past and I'm not exactly proud of is, buy bootlegs :oops:

Bootlegs is sometimes what you gotta do for longer series. Jonathan wanted City Hunter so I imported from Hong Kong. Anything that is longer than three seasons, would be best imported or obtained through less legal means. :lol:

My newest vice is manga. I've been buying lots of manga. That's an expensive hobby because it's harder to find online for cheap. estarland andadv you can sometimes luck out. Also it's a pain waiting for the next volume to come out. I end up starting a new series in between volumes. I need to start learning moe methods to keep my manga cheap-ass. Sometimes I luck out and find some at the used book store, but mainly I just use waldenbooks 20% off coupons. or their buy 4 get one free sale.
 
I usually take advantage of the Buy 4 get 1 free sale when I buy my manga.

Manga, games, and TV-on-DVD sets.

My 3 weaknesses. not enough money for them all. =\

Oh yeah, and bead bracelets. Those are calming, and I enjoy them too. =P

Have you seen the City Hunter live action movie? It's silly but good silly :lol: Also manga isn't as bad as anime. They're reasonably priced. Viz manga are only a dollar more expensive than your typical paperback.

Also, it's been bugging me for a long time, but does anybody know why anime dvds are so expensive? I can't seem to think of any reason that would justify a $20 or $30 pricetag on a dvd with 5 episodes. To me, it seems like the price would be a major obstacle for people who are interested in anime but can't afford it. Especially when most American tv boxsets are priced $30 to $40 with movies only $15 to $20.

It just may be... but instead I'll wrap it up all weekend (take that however you like) and in a few days I should be fine. It'll make tailgating interesting... but usually I recover from these sorts of injuries pretty damn fast. One thing's for sure I've lost my nearly life-long passion for basketball. From now on if I'm in the gym, I'm hitting the weights.

Pictures tend to suck but Im sure that girl isnt a stunner even all dolled up. Doesnt make her a bad person, etc. but she shouldnt be moddling clothing. Just like the bald (moi) shouldnt be advertising hair care products.

I do not know sir... depends on how hot you like them, how much water, and how good your microwave is... honestly I'd put it in for like 1-2 minutes and it was usually pretty decent... but I haven't had Ramen in quite some time.

:lol: HA, I am rather picky, and there's no way in hell I'd fuck that that girl, unless I was really drunk... and getting paid for it probably. Hell, if I was getting paid, I'd probably do it after a few shots.
