Someone explain how JTG went to Raw and then went right back to Smackdown.
Fink said it was a mistake apparently, the excuse he gave was that Raw doesn't have a GM.
Monday Night Ratings are in:

Raw: 3.3
Impact: .5

GodDAMN.

Shame the show's direction is improving - they'll pull the plug on Monday and go back to Thursday.

But given a choice b/w a good show on Thursday and a return to "CRASH TV MONDAY," I'm more than happy with the former.

So MVP is now a wrestler that gets moved with no fanfare....WOW.....

I guess we gotta get ready for the MVP at jobbin'...

Not to mention that Kendrick is talking about owning maps that claim Atlantis is under Antarctica, and that the moon is a space station.
I guess that's the thing about the Big Show - dude is perfect at helping the other person shine. Remember when Big Show was facing Brock? He made Brock look like he could actually wrestle!
Did Wrexmanor hijack your account for that part of the post? :p

The draft, as always was... interesting. It was a very good show, wrestling wise. I haven't watched Impact yet, but once I do, I'll post Raw/Impact thoughts, just because.
I wonder if the drop from last week to this week for Impact has anything to do with being live versus being taped.
Probably not, as live vs. taped rarely means a thing regarding ratings for either WWE or TNA. They got killed by the draft Raw being head to heat with them. Without an hour headstart on Raw, Impact gets fucked.

This weeks Smackdown has an Edge/Christian encounter as Edge is apparently heel again and Christian did the "na na na na hey hey goodbye". Christian said he'd known Edge since 6th grade and that he'd seen him change for the worst.

Continuity is a bitch.

smackdown finally coming to where i live, wish it was raw, anyway whats reasonable to pay for ringside seats? never been to a wrestling event and based on some searching prices ranged from 150-250.
really want to go, but dont wanna go unless im close to the ring or is it better to seat further back?

Avoid the floor unless you are in the 1st or 2nd row on the non-stage/announcers sides of the ring. I recommend the first few rows of raised seating on those sides of the ring. You can see everything and worry less about signs or people standing up in front of you.

Christian to Smackdown, about damn time.

Now if they use him to develop Swagger, hopefully giving Christian the title at least once .. I'll be content with that.

Probably not though, since he was a TNA World Champion. He'll be Matt Hardyfied from here on out.

What's "lol" about that? That storyline genuinely caught me off guard.. I didn't think he had been signed or anything. Wasn't expecting him at all.

When I went to the SD/ECW/SS taping in Baton Rouge I sat in the seats right after the floor seats

I liked it because it was slightly elevated so I could see what I needed to see but close enough to where I could easily see Serena's ass when she bended over and gawk at Michelle McCool...

Save your money and choose a seat where you can easily see the Titantron and the ring at the same time if possible. That's much more important than being on the floor.

Anything within the first five rows is decent, assuming you're either in front of or behind the ring. Beyond that, you might as well stay home.

I couldn't disagree more. For my first 2 wrestling events, I had tickets almost in the nosebleeds and still had an incredible time.

I never bought expensive seats to a WWE event. Just didn't seem worth the cost to me.

I'll pay $20 at most for an ROH event. Used to sit third row, but got tired of being around a bunch of bloated malcontent smart mark tools. Last time I went I bought GA at the door for $10-15 and stood on the top of the bleachers. Great view, and you're like 30 feet from the ring, so it's not like you can really complain about distance. Sure, they won't hear your jeers and you may not get to touch them, but so what?

At the time it was GENIUS, but going back and watching it... and the 'security' scrambling around, just makes me laugh. Also allowing the "WWE can kiss my ass!!" as well as the "Ring of Honor" mention to air, even if it was scripted, really caught me off guard and makes me laugh.

The fact that something that good (IMO) could have been the start of the rise of Matt Hardy ... only to be played out in what, 2 or 3 squash matches where Edge just dominated him? Instead, it was the beginning of the end of Matt Hardy.

There's a rumor that Tara might be going back to the E once her contract expires soon. There's also this from her MySpace blog:
The following is an excerpt from a new blog from the official MySpace page of TNA Knockout Tara:

"I came to TNA last year because I still had a lot of wrestling left in me. I was paid a fraction of what I thought I deserved. But I wanted to show I was still at the top of my game. Now my contract is up in May. I want a modest pay increase. They don't want to pay me what I think is fair. I have no problems going my own way.

But about 12 hours after the conversation where we didn't agree on pay, unnamed sources claim that I am hard to work with and that I don't give my best effort. My only response is that TNA made an aggressive effort to re-sign me, among other things saying that they want to build the women's division around me. And I think wrestling fans see, both on TV and at live events, that I alwys give 100%. I take pride in that. Smeaering me on the way out the door is an act of second-rate character."
Considering that Christy is now getting paid a ludicrous amount of money for just being an announcer, I don't blame her if she decides to leave.

EDIT: How about that, John Cena has been champ for 1000 days. All he needs is one more title reign to tie Triple H's title record (who by the way, has only been champ for 1155 days).

Eh, wasn't Christy's pay attributed to the Honky Tonk Man? I'm not buying that Christy Hemme is earning that much more than everyone else, male and female alike.

Matt calling Edge Adam really caught me off guard too.

Are you saying HHH holds the record for most days as champ? If so, that's way off. Hogan's first run was over 4 years, Backlund had a 6 year run and Sammartino holds the record (to the best of my knowledge) with over 7 years. Those aren't even cumulative, those are all in a single run.

No, I think he is saying that Cena is 1 away from matching the number of times HHH has held the belt (which is true if you discount the World Heavyweight Championship he held 5 times)

Overall, HHH is 12 time champ

WWE also includes the World Heavyweight Championship in those day counts, padding out Cena and Triple H's numbers a bit.

I never knew that Flair gave Triple H the Big Gold Belt that he walked out of WCW with in 92.
Word on the street is that JR won't be resigning with WWE.
Can't say I didn't see that happening. He has stated in his blogs that they don't want him to be an announcer anymore, and that's all he's interested in.

I always thought "feces" pretty accurately described almost all aspects of that feud (with that kick-off being the singular exception).

Hahaha.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that there is legitimate heat between Raw announcers Michael Cole/Jerry Lawler and Smackdown announcer Matt Striker. This might explain why tension can be sensed when the three of them do broadcasts together.

According to the report, Striker often times comes off as an elitist, and Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are apparently not too fond of him. Both Raw announcers feel he is not worthy of the platform that he puts himself on, and one source was quoted as saying "he has a long way to go to come off as good as he thinks he is."
Hahaha.
I can't lie - I dislike Matt Striker

But I don't dislike him like I dislike Cole and Lawler...I dislike him because he does appear to be elitist at times.

He reminds me of the person that uses huge words and can probably speak fluent languages and such....but doesn't know when to just speak NORMALLY. Like a Dennis Miller.

At least Cole is just an idiot and Lawler is a perv. We can laugh at that and chuckle. Striker though is just annoying as fuck

Dennis Miller doesn't use big words, he uses dated metaphors.

Big difference.

Striker's language is fine - IMO, his pop culture references are too precisely honed. You get them, I get them - nerds get them. But they're wasted on the broad fanbase of the WWE.

EDIT: Wow, just heard Bubba the Love Sponge crash an Awesome Kong radio interview. What a despicable piece of fat, misogynistic, repugnant, piggish white trash. Between TNA keeping a piece of shit like him on the payroll, firing Kong, firing Daniels, and smearing Victoria on her way out of the company, it sounds like a grade-A bullshit operation down there.

whatd his fatass do now?

I used to listen to Bubba religiously when I lived in Florida 8-9 years ago, but since Hogan and TNA gave him a rub it's obviously gone to his head.

That interview... just, wow. BS.
