Eh, but a tie doesn't help you perform your job, does it? I mean if you're an executive sure, wear a tie ya slob. If you're support staff or something, i don't why they should care so long as you don't come in looking like a hobo.

I saw some guy around my school wearing a black trench coat with a pony tail, i'm almost ashamed i thought "Hey, it's JP/plume!"

Pharmacy, Nina?

Sounds liek you may have answered your own question. If you plan on specializing, School B sounds better for the networking connections you'd make. Chika probably has some thoughts on this...

Heh-heh, Jake...

fuck...I can't spell anymore...
Since you guys are supposedly cheap, let me get some opinions (real ones please!). If you had the option between two schools, which would you pick:

School A: Has only graduated a few classes since opening, but is fully accredited and slowly becoming recognized. 100% pass rate from the students on the board exam. It's ~$120,000 for four years of education. However, it's not well known and it's in the country kind of (but it's an hour outside of a big city). You'd be happy going there, but it's not your first choice.

School B: Nationally known, big school. Lots of networking. You really like this school and got a good impression of it. However, it's in a big expensive city, and it will end up cost you ~$200,000 when you're done.

I guess my biggest problem is debt. $80,000 is a big difference. For those that don't know, if you want to work at Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, etc., it doesn't matter where you went to school, but if you want to go into a residency or specialize (like me) then it helps where you went to.

Any input? "tl, dr" works too. :p
depends on how long you go there and how much their rep will increase in the interim. The school may be better known with a stronger reputation by the time you graduate. ~120k was about what my school cost for 4 years and I'm still paying it off. :\

got a lot done today. raked the yard, trimmed the hedges, cleaned out all of the gak from the flower beds and veggie garden, trimmed most of the roses and flowering trees back, and started seeds for this year's veggies. so far we've got san marzano tomatos, pickling cukes, bell peppers (red and green), jalapenos, habaneros, califlower and cabbage. still have carrots and onions to plant, those go directly outside and don't get started indoors. the garlic was planted in the fall and that's starting to come up already.

There's no way i'd spend that much on school only to end up working at walgreens or some place. I feel kinda sorry for those who do.They're barely more than a cashier who can fill prescriptions.

I'm talking about the actual pharmacist too, not the techs.

Yup pharmacy. I rather get paid for kicking guys in the balls, but I don't think the market for that it too great.
Next year. Taking the year off to decide what I want to go to school for. Just taking it easy and trying to find something that will pay off my truck and a chunk of my student loans.
Sell some of your "Heroes of Nascar" plates.;)

money matters. a good board pass rate is important. school rep isn't that important as are your grades and your residency interviews. you gotta read journals and be up on research. there's a difference between a new emerging program with a 100% board-cert rate and a school with a shitty rep. $80k is a LOT of money and will take you another 15 years to pay off.
Thanks, Chika. I'm little distracted right now and am hiding in my office. Shit's getting real, again. ::eyeroll::
coffee-table real?

I'm tlaking about the actual pharmacist too, not the techs.
A lot of people do spend 4 extra years of school and have 100k+ in debt to go work at Walgreens. However, retail is very lucrative for pharmacist. You can easily make $120,000 a year, possibly more if you decide to work extra hours and stuff.

I use to work as a tech at Walgreens, and it sucked money balls. The thing about retail is that any dumb ass off the street can come into the store. I have a million and one stories I can tell, but I'll save it. Pharmacist are not respected in the retail setting. Not where I worked anyways, and I'm sure other places too.

Don't count it off too soon. I used to have a friend that was a dominatrix. She made fat cash off worse things than that. You'd be surprised at the stuff guys are willing to pay for...hell, even I'm surprised.

I wear a shirt and jeans to work :whee:

 are you propositioning me plumey pants? ;)

On the verge of it. I went into my office to let things calm down.

Told her I wanted her gone again.

You weren't supposed to bring that up! I paid extra for your silence!

Hmmm. It's intriguing, but I want to adopt in the future, and they probably won't let me if I'm a dominatrix. :p

Sounds like another episode of Story Time with PlumeNoir. . .

yea it looks like everything is back to normal. That was extremely weird as I thought it was targeting locations and photos that had copyrighted logos on them like a cup with a coke label.

...ITDEFX about Facebook potentially deleting his pictures. This man teaches children :[
And what did Frosty do all day :nottalking:
he raked half the yard, cleaned up all the piles of gak and put them in the wheel barrow and brought it around back to the compost bin, fixed the holes in the fence so the beagle doesn't escape, and brought me beer while i was digging a new bed for the cukes.

That's another thing, the respect. Of course, any sort of retail work seems to be devoid of respect, even if you're making 6 figures doing it.

sure they will. as long as you're not performing on the kids.

ouch. i'd stay there unless you wanna meet the coffee table. then again, you won't need me if you leave your office

Yup. I hate retail. I'm not some egotistical person, but I like common decency, and a lot of customers in retail won't give you that.

Wait a minute here...:whistle2:k
Sounds like another episode of Story Time with PlumeNoir. . .
Maybe some other time...I'm really not in the mood to tell stories.

Although, she was a lot of fun. I asked her if we could use her in a video segement, she said, "Sure." I told her she had to be nude, and she asked, "Can I leave my glasses on? I'm out of contacts."
sure they will. as long as you're not performing on the kids.
Ew no it won't be on kids. Just men. I hate men...

....video?:D
....video?:D
Yeah...I think I told that story. It was back when I did cable access. (Hey man...don't laugh - we're seen in like 20 cities. My pot...holder dealer in Detroit used to watch the show all the time.)

We used her a few times, because she was a lot fo fun. The video segemtn we did was "What to do with a nude woman." We did censor it (even though we didn't have to), but somewhere around here, I have the uncensored tape, I'm sure...

what's the next best resolution for 1680X1050? My screen freezes momentarily every so often when I play TF2 and I think my vid card can't handle it. :|
Find and upload that shit.
I think it's packed away in the basement.

I have been meaning to upload the stuff, anyway. My buddy and I who did the show together have been talking for a while about bringing back the puppet-esque segment we used to do that was a parody of religious programs for youtube.

That would be golden.
anyone know when wolve's ban is over?
As soon as he's finished working on Linkin's 360?:whistle2:\"
Wait a minute here...:whistle2:k
is there a problem with me needing a big fucking beer while digging an 8'x3'x.5' hole in semi-frozen earth?

I could go for a beer right about now.

fuck. I just realized that Pixie and my anniversAry is in two weeks. That's not going to make things easier...

I read 130 pages of Invisible Man before I gave up. I just don't like it. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get a b on the test even with just sparknotes though. It's only a 20 question test, so I know it will be general knowledge shit.
Ugh, get off the children thing already. It's making me sick! :bomb::bomb:
you hate men, you're not into women... apparently not into kids.

oh shit. she's into horses.
