"The Capcom Six"

CAGiversary!

So yeah Capcom is releasing six games for the psp. The box arts came out recently and it looks like they will each have a similar style which will surely make collectors happy. I couldn't find the Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble box art but I imagine it will follow suit. I'll probably pick them all up eventually once the price is right but theres no way I'm paying 30 bucks for a remake of mega man 1 when I already have the entire megaman collection on ps2.

I think I saw that in EGM? I was happy till I saw it was for PSP, but it doesn't seem too money appealing. And Megaman Power has such great appeal to me right now.. just cover box art wise.
I'll just wait for the "big six" to be ported to a different system, ala "the big 5".
Haha yeah the big 5 was such a joke. Nintendo and Capcom made a big deal about having 5 gamecube exclusive titles, one of which was cancelled, PN03 sucked, viewtiful joe, killer 7, and resident evil 4 all ended up on ps2 also.

As far as release dates for these games it seems that every website I check says something different but they all should be out before the end of the first quarter.

Megaman X: Maverick Hunter: 1/31/06
SF Alpha 3: Max: 2/7/06
Megaman: Powered Up: 3/24/06
Capcom Classics Remixed: 3/24/06

Not sure about the last two, no interest in them really.

The sad thing is that 4 of those games are ports and 2 are remakes. Not saying their DS lineup is much better wiht Resident Evil DS, but at least they are getting Mega Man ZX and new Phoenix Wright.

That is what Capcom does best, though.

Capcom Classics Remixed isn't a port though, since it will have many games not featured in the console versions... it's more like a new game with the same name.

I look at these games as six great reasons to hold onto my PSP. I hope Capcom ports more fighters over :D

Street Fighter Alpha 3 is a draw for me the only thing is I never liked the Sony D-Pad for fighting games. What's worse is in japan if you pre-order SFA3 you get a d-pad cover that fits over the PSP D-Pad that's more like a saturn pad but it doesn't look like they'll bring that here.

Just so everyone knows =)

"Capcom Classics Collection Remixed provides quality entertainment that delves deep into Capcom’s history, offering players more depth and gameplay challenges. Bursting with retro flavor, this portable arcade compilation comes together in an amazing collection of 20 all-time favorites. Play this latest cache of classics in several aspect ratios including normal, stretch or, depending on the title, its original vertical orientation. Adding to the bountiful content, the game is further enhanced with wireless multiplayer gameplay via the PSP system’s ad hoc mode and tons of bonus features to unlock and play with.

Included games are: 1941, Avengers, Block Block, Captain Commando, Magic Sword, Quiz and Dragons, Street Fighter, Strider, Three Wonders, Varth, Speed Rumbler and many more."

I'm all over the Mega Man games.

Has it been confirmed they are only $30? You don't have to buy them at that price, but I will gladly be putting down my cash on day one. It's worth it to me.

I'll be picking up the Megaman games but that's probably all. I love Street Fighter III but I have no friends to play it with and fighters are boring by yourself. Of course I won't be getting anything if I have to sacrifice homebrew. What I really need is a second PSP.

mega man X comes out on my b-day, but I really don't care for it even thoguh it looks like a great port.

SFA3 I will pick up as long as the controls aren't as horrible as Darkstalkers Chaos Tower... I've played every version of that game and still havent gotten totally bored of it yet.

Monster Hunter Freedom looks very interesting. Something that would probably be in my PSP for a long while (much like GTA LCS). If it is not as bad as what people say about the console version, I'm all in.

SFA3 - yeah, even though I have it on the DC..I'm a sucker for the series.

Monster Hunter - comes out in March and most likely getting that one too.

Just Capcom Classics Remix for me until those other games gets some price drops. Alpha 3 is the worst in the SFA series and the Mega Man remakes don't look appealing.

That blows... one week too late for CAGs.

The BB $10 off coupon will have expired by then... hopefully BB will have it on sale the first week of release ($34.99 or lower?) and then use a GGC to knock it down to $29.99 (or lower).

Or hopefully trusty old Fry's or Outpost will have it for the cheapness!

I'm at least hoping SFA3 ma will be $30 or less, and Monster Hunter will be below $40...

it's kinda funny since almost all of the games are remakes/ports of older games... even viewtiful joe: red hot rumble is a port!

Here's hoping Fry's/Outpost has it for $27.99 the first week of release.
