...so a Miz title defense is designated a midcard affair, Barrett looks like a chump compared to Cena yet again (for the last time?), and the pissing away of Kane's push is complete and we're stuck with EDGE as the fucking champion again.

That's some rockin' storytelling.

I honestly dont know which is worse.....

The 5 minute live advertisement for Knucklehead being done as a time filler after both title matches

OR

The lame ass Cena/Barrett match which has ZERO consequence in any big picture storywise having the main event status. No titles, no chance at a title, or any "game changing" stipulations were part of that match. It should have been midcard at best. Just because a "Main Eventer" is in the match doesn NOT mean it is a Main Event match. Goddamn, quality wise, the JoMo/Shameless match could have been the main event in all honesty.

WWE really needs to get its shit together. Neither of the above mentioned items belonged in MAIN EVENT time frames.
I was so disappointed at that attitude adjustment onto the chairs. The entire time I was thinking, "that's it? No avalanche of chairs or anything?"

Then I actually get an avalanche of chairs. The ONE time WWE grants my request, I swear.
Seriously? During a WWE show? I gotta see that.
Nexus = Spirit Squad with a main event leader

Cena = HHH
I wouldn't go that far. At least the Spirit Squad won matches.

I wish they would just let Nexus pull an NWO and host their own PPV. NWO Souled Out was definitely something that was just out there and pretty cool. I think just saying straight up "Ok, pit your guys against our guys and let's do this" is better than "Cena will eat your leader, so the rest of you guys are worthless."

I think the problem is that WWE has no idea on how to properly build up Heel factions, or even Heel wrestlers.

Outside of Evolution, name me one faction that wasn't picked apart by the Top face. Hell, John Cena alone has decimated JBL's Cabinet, Orton's Legacy & The Nexus and I'm sure I skipped over a few groups. How about the WWE NWO? Rock & Austin beat them so bad, Hogan turned face just to further make the group look like a joke. Booker T's Court? William Regal's failed ECW version?

In the case of Evolution, HHH used his rub to make sure no face could ever stand up to them, squashing Kane, RVD, Dudleys, Booker T, hell even former Evo mate RANDY ORTON got made to look like a chump. In a way, it was the opposite of every other Stable in WWE history.

A stable should be fearsome. John Cena should not be able to beat Nexus, but he (SINGLE-HANDILY, mind you) was able to rip them apart, all 10 or so members through the groups rather short history.

Just more lost potential I suppose.

Good news, everyone! Knucklehead AND Legendary are now available on Netflix Instant! That's, you no longer need to wait on the DVD, which CERTAINLY was marked "Long Wait" at the top of your queue! Oh Happy Day!

While I disagree with Cena/Barrett being last, it depends on the perspective you're looking at it from. Miz is an untested champ. They realized that the Smackdown title scene wasn't getting over, so much so that they added two more guys to 2 days before the PPV. There wasn't much to end the show with. Plus, in fairness, Cena/Barrett one on one *should* be the culmination of a 6 month long story build-up. Sure, they've kind of shit the bed with the story, but it's the longest storyline is recent memory. Now, if they do Cena/Barrett 2 at the Rumble, this whole explanation goes out the window.

I'm quite glad the Rumble is coming up, as it's always at least mildly entertaining. Plus, it literally gives everyone a story for the next month.

As someone already brought up... what happens to Nexus now? This storyline has run it's course, and you can't really keep these guys together without it seeming kind of stupid. I'd love to see them have a nice showing in the Rumble, but I just don't know where it would go after that. What worries me is that Cena has been occupied with this story for 6 months... where does he go now?

I'm not really a fan of Morrison, but I'm glad he got the nod. It's rare that we have people with history feuding, so it should be a fairly well-written storyline. Hopefully Morrison gets some mic skills for Christmas.

Miz/Morrison does, though, make me remember that they've never pulled the trigger on an Edge/Christian WHC feud. It doesn't even matter if they never want Christian to be champ... that'd be hugely over.

In the end, TLC was predictable. The matches were actually decent (decent for current WWE, anyway), but this is always going to be a stop-gap PPV before the Rumble. Still, it was a better showing than other recent PPVs, and god bless 'em for finally realizing that Edge/Kane wasn't working and throwing two guys into the match to make it tolerable.

I feel like Miz/Morrison will be entertaining up until the match itself. I'm expecting lots of Reilly and/or Sheamus interference helping Miz retain. Or if they want to give Miz a relatively clean win, Morrison misses with somethihg high-risk and Miz capitalizes.

I don't expect the Miz to make it past the Elimination Chamber with the belt unless they plan on doing Miz/Cena.

I honestly get the feeling that Miz holds the belt until at least WM. Who he faces, I have no idea, but I'd be shocked if he loses before then. Cena does seem a likely candidate, and building it with the backing of the story from last year would be great. Either way, I'll assert right now that Miz goes into WM27 as champion.

Whether he gets involved with Miz/Morrison or not, I expect Sheamus to be in the Rumble. Am I correct in saying that he's actually not been in one yet? He's really only been in the company for a short time, and he missed last year's because he was in the title match with Orton. I feel like 2009 would've been too early for him to have been in it.

Problem with Sheamus is, and has been, that it's just a matter of time until HHH comes back. No matter what he accomplishes now, it stops dead once that happens. I'd like to see HHH come back in time for WM, which is a distinct possibility if Taker isn't going to be ready. It'd be a big match, and keep both of them away from the title hunt.

Randomly, I've never liked having a PPV between the Rumble and WM, least of all since they changed it to Elimination Chamber matches. Seriously, just build a WM match for two months.

I've had this looming thought in the back of my head, what if Sheamus wins the Rumble, and then HHH comes back at EC and wins the WWE title? Seems like something they would do, and then they'd hype the crap out of Sheamus Vs HHH for the WWE title, only for HHH to retain and further bury Sheamus ala Orton Vs HHH a few years back.

In my perfect world, CHRISTIAN would return and win at the rumble, setting up Edge Vs Christian at WM. This would be a perfect way to finally get the strap around Christian and I would love to see what they can do with the feud. Especially seeing how they shit the bed in 2001 with the original 2 month long feud.

The only other option I see them going with is Cena winning the rumble and facing Miz at WM, but that's even worse than Sheamus / HHH :puke: I really hope they pull a surprise.

Pretty good show overall. The main event was probably the worst match on the show except for the divas match, but at least had the amusing office chair (with GIANT WWE LOGO ON THE BACK) spot and cool-looking final bit with the cart and chairs. The divas match was pretty bad, although Beth took some terrifying bumps. Sheamus-Morrison was my favorite match of the show, as it made Sheamus look like a killer while still giving Morrison the plucky face win. Edge is world champ for the tenth time in five years after missing God knows how much time in that five years with injuries. Whoop dee doo. Loved the match though. Alberto fit in seamlessly as an SD main eventer, and Rey did some neat stuff, including the sorta dive off the table part of the set onto Kane. Tara, WITH ONE ARM, caught Mickie James coming off the top of a cage better than the 300 pound Kane caught Rey with the seated senton coming from maybe 8 feet in the air off the set.

Miz-Orton was okay. Orton's matches are just not doing much for me as a face. I thought having two fuck finishes was a bit odd, although at least the restart did make logical sense - the ref saw it wasn't a real finish and restarted the bout, so Orton beat the shit out of everyone, and Miz used his lackey as a weapon to put Orton through the table. For some reason, Riley has a new, silver case instead of the beaten up red one. Maybe he'll debut the Legends title on Raw or something.

I think Reilly's new case is to carry around the belt for The Miz. Pretty sure he opened it for Miz to pull the belt out during the backstage interview.

WWE has an all-EC pay per view? Man, they're really undermining damn near every gimmick imaginable. The only thing they haven't done yet is "WWE: On a Pole."

Book it!

Miz/Morrisson (title on a pole)
Cody Rhodes/Big Show (Knucklehead DVD on a pole)
Santino/Kozlov vs Nexus (Coal Miner's Glove on a Pole - wtf is a coal miner's glove anyway?)
Cena vs Barrett (shotgun on a pole match).
(Barrett acquires and uses said shotgun, but Cena no-sells it to win)
Edge vs Kane (dignity on a pole)
Divas on the pole...just a dance-off.

I've heard "Restraint" will actually be Gail Kim's new gimmick. Vince feels she's "not Asian enough", and she'll now be wrestling with bound feet.

I was hoping that Otunga was the one taking out Nexus members with chair shots last night. They just need something, almost anything, to make this angle interesting again.

Every chance they have had to make it interesting they have consistently dropped the ball. Hell even with Cena winning, if they had Punk get so fed-up with Cena's bullshit and bullying and go lay him out it would have been something.

WrestleReunion 2011 is taking place at the end of January here in LA, and they've booked a relatively decent number of guests. In addition to the ROH and PWG shows that'll run that weekend, they're bringing in the following:

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Tito Santana, Ryan Shamrock (lol), Terry Funk, Tatanka, Val Venis, Gene Okerlund, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Vampiro, Shane Helms, "Dangerous" Danny Davis, Mr. Aguila (Essa Rios), Shane Douglas, Jimmy Hart, Paul Orndorff, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Barry Orton (who?), SoCal Val, Traci Brooks, Christy Hemme, The Powers Of Pain (Warlord & Barbarian), Mr. Fuji, Mr. Saito, Savio Vega, Mike Graham, and Ken Patera.

A number of special vendors are bringing in the following as well: Bret Hart, "Superstar" Billy Graham, Torrie Wilson, Sunny, Nick Mitchell (lol), Serena Deeb, Rhaka Khan, Allison Danger, Mil Mascaras, and Dos Caras.

WWE has moved Smackdown for this week to Tuesday at 9 on USA, not SyFy (and it's live). They're also rerunning Tribute to the Troops on Wednesday at 8 on USA.

While Edge was winning his 10th World Title I was putting whipped cream on cinnamon toast crunch. 2 amazing feats acchomplished at once.
That's more interesting than Edge winning the title again.

....DA fuck AM I WATCHING????

I'm so mad that I'm just going to cut my losses....switch to football and hope for the best tomorrow!

I think I saw Tommy Dreamer going to the Comcast offices in south Philly this morning. Didn't say hi though.

I never met him but he sounds like you could approach him anywhere. I made a lame joke on Twitter and he PMed me and said he was laughing in the airport and everyone was staring, I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Edit: God almighty, that's heat right there.

Vicki set a heel heat record tonight...epic

I'm glad I turned the channel right now....shit's crazy!!!! Someone's match is getting cut short over this shit

It's sad that Vickie gets more heat than anyone else on the roster could even hope for.

That was something the WWE doesn't have too many of anymore; a moment. No doubt about it. Vickie Guerrero got the kind of heat tonight that you just don't see on WWE TV. Loved it.

The ICW just got a present from Vince

Cena vs Punk

.....Now we can see Cena crush Punk multiple times
.....Now we can see Cena crush Punk multiple times
Sadly that will be the end result.

Why would C.M. Punk want to give John Cena a taste of what Cena did to Wade Barrett last night?
Is C.M. Punk the higher power of the Nexus!?

^^If that spoiler is what they actually decide to go with, it will finally reinvigorate the angle. It would give Nexus a reason to stick around even

But wasn't Punk one of the guys beat up by Nexus???

....And how could that be explained? Punk had his SES at the time.

I guess the only way they could sell it would be Punk knew SES was a bust and wanted to control a group of hungrier wrestlers...and the beatdown he received that night was a diversion....
