I didn't get it yet, but the playstation blog says 5.8mb which seems like it would be music files at most. I haven't put the game in in a while so maybe they threw in all of the content by an update patch and you're just paying to unlock it.

I'd hate to think all of that was on the disc already and they gave the excuse that they ran out of time to make Danielson as DLC.

I think Charlie Haas consumed the entire inventory of his supplement business.

001.jpg

On the Xbox 360 that DLC pack was around 262MB to download. So not a simple unlock for game content that was already in, had to be downloaded.

So apparently the early plans for the Cena/Punk angle is set to run all the way up to Wrestlemania. I'm intrigued to see how they pull that off.

....What's the purpose of Kaval being the jobber to the stars????

He did win NXT, right?!?!?

THIS IS WHAT'S WRONG WITH WWE!!!! Why have the smallest person ever win NXT and then squash him the hell out

Watching McInteyre squash Kaval was pretty satisfying.

Makes me wish he had a better looking Future Shock DDT. Or a real push for that matter :'[

Gotta build him up I suppose.

I could care less, I've never been a fan of Low Ki and I Drew needs more squashes. But it'll probably end up being some sort of mini-feud that will culminate with Kaval pinning Drew clean.

I wonder if they are scanning twitter more closely post MVP. Kaval retweeted something like "How does it feel not having a match on the PPV when they gave 10 minutes to Big Show in a Santa Suit"

My gripes with TNA pretty much boil down to 3 things.

1.Ridiculously overbooked finishes/constant run ins

2.Constant heel/face turns for no reason - also face teams NEVER getting along for more than 2 weeks - which even predates Hogan/Bischoff

3.Jeff Jarrett getting wins in 2010. Ric Flair put over Jay Lethal. JAY LETHAL. I will be fucking shocked if Joe ever gets a win over Jarrett in this feud - Angle will come back and Joe will be swept aside.
Angle will come back and Joe will be swept aside.
Correct.

Credit where credit is due - aside from the Sport Entertainment™ finish, John Cena vs Dolph Ziggler was a *damned* good tv match. It's a minor thing, but an important one: Ziggler has the best looking chinlock in the business.

Derrick Batemen's bio video is pretty funny.

"My parents were actually pretty supportive of me..my mom told me to pursue my dream because she wasn't able to pursue hers..because she had me. Sorry Mom."

Enjoyable show for the most part. I loved the Orton-Miz opener, and found it to be a far better match than the PPV match. The Drew-Kaval squash was nice to see, since it showed that Drew is seemingly out of the doghouse. He not only got his full intro, BUT also got to completely kill Kaval. Rey/Kofi-Alberto/Swagger was a lot of fun, and I could see a Kofi and Rey team working as a way to keep Rey as a TV regular while also giving him a reduced role in the ring. Cena-Dolph/Vickie was thankfully far closer to their Raw match than I thought it would be. They didn't use Vickie much, and when she was in there, it was only for a brief while. Felt a bit like a rerun of Raw's ending though, with Cena winning and Punk attacking him. Oh well, at least it's leading to what should be a very good match at...whatever PPV they have it at.

I'd say it's worth it for only 800MS points, considering all the DLC you get. Plus future DLC for free with it.

That's what made me pull the trigger, hopefully DLC 3 will be worth it and not a bunch of random Legends again.

DLC Pack 3 comes with attires and the WCW arena. That's all I've heard on it so far. Masked CM Punk, Biker Taker, and I forget the others.

And remember when Orton would apply it, it would be the most boring thing ever. What a difference a man makes.

Hmm? Orton certainly put effort into his chinlock, or at least I seem to remember him putting a lot of effort into it. But that's far back enough that I'm picturing blue tights with yellow accents.

This reminds me of one of the best crowd signs ever: "Another chinlock, Randy?!"

@Chase: I gotta say, FCW is a pretty well put together program. I've been watching more and more of it since I found out about it yesterday and its pretty good even when compared to the bigger promotions. Thanks for posting that Aksana Show clip, it made me start looking up more and I don't know about anyone else, but I found it incredibly entertaining.

Here's another funny one in case anyone cares:
This reminds me of one of the best crowd signs ever: "Another chinlock, Randy?!"
Only topped by the Cuck Fena sign that was behind Cena during a promo that was so obvious they had to use a reall awkward angle during AM Raw that week.

What's up with Randy Orton lately? He's trying to be more and more like Stone Cold. Index fingers up in the air on the turnbuckle. Lou Thez Press last night. WTF?

Well, the RKO is basically a loose stunner....and we see how quickly and liberal he does 'em just like SCSA...

Dolph has REALLY impressed me lately. I knew he was pretty good, but he has stepped his game recently and has been fantastic. Putting him with Vickie gets them some unreal heat too.
Dolph has REALLY impressed me lately. I knew he was pretty good, but he has stepped his game recently and has been fantastic. Putting him with Vickie gets them some unreal heat too.
Dolph has been amazing since his feud with Daniel Bryan. Nearly every match he has had since those series of three matches has been good to great. I think his match with Kofi Kingston on SD that Swagger interfered in might have been the television match of the year. Just amazing intensity from both men all the way around and a tremendous contest.

The guy's selling is the best this side of Shawn Michaels and I'm actually encouraged that he is getting Vince's attention. I mean they put the guy through the wringer by having him come THIS close to beating Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental belt and then falling completely off the map. But that seems to be way things work these days. A slow multi-year building up of guys.

On SD, he is better than Swagger. He is better than Kofi. And lately his showings have been better than Daniel Bryan. Ziggler's matches are way more competitive and exciting than Bryan's have been because as much as like Bryan, his matches have become the equivalent of John Cena matches. LaBell Lock = STF = No drama.

You know what. I'll say it.

Dolph Ziggler = Best worker in WWE.

Ziggler's work has been fantastic, though it brings up something I had been discussing during Raw on Monday... is it just me, or have they sort of 'let up' style-wise since Danielson joined the company? Before that, Bourne was allowed to do his thing, but he was one of the few. Since Danielson, it just appears to me that suddenly people like Ziggler, Danielson, Kofi, Swagger, Morrison etc. have all been given some leeway in terms of the matches they put on.

This is, of course, no complaint. It makes me doubly happy to see that, when presented with something like Bryan/Ziggler or Cena/Ziggler, the crowd is reacting loudly and truly getting behind it. It's as if someone noticed that crowds want to, you know, see wrestling.

It's not a 'complete and total' thing, obviously, as there are still people tossing out your standard ass WWE-style matches. Overall, though, it does seem like the matches are, if nothing else, much more varied in style than even a year ago.

Am I crazy here?

I think you're pretty on the ball there, 007. I feel like there've been a lot of "pretty good matches" this year. I think there is still room to grow with that also. Part of it would be putting these guys together in fued with veterans. Hopefully Regal/Bryan lasts longer than just last Monday, but also put Goldust in feuds with some of those guys also. Those 5 guys you mentioned, among a few others, are the future of WWE so it really only makes sense to let Goldust and Regal (and Jericho, if/when he gets back) give them a little extra prep, courtesy of a long timer.

One of the best TV matches that I've gotten to watch *somewhat* recently was Ziggler vs. Kane back in... March?

Dude can go, I'm happy he overcame that silly introducing himself to everyone gimmick.

would love to see Regal in a serious storyline again. I still hate the fact that WWE just jobs him to death now. Still on of the best technical wrestlers on the rosters currently.

Regal trained Danielson no? plus the way they exchanged pleasantries at the end would tell me that story line will go no further. I think they are building the bella storyline more than a regal/danielson feud.

I actually thought that gimmick was funny, but only when his opponent would ignore him. Then Ziggler would get mad, knock his opponent down, and scream "I'M DOLPH ZIGGLER."

Actually, I think he only did that once.

I had this post open in my tab, and forgot to pull the trigger. Pardon me.
I just miss MVP a lot, is all. :(
I, too, miss MVP, Beef. I also miss his snazzy new entrance music. :whistle2:(

And, Diddy, speaking of Paul London and the Vince-Car explosion angle, I remember that WWE.com put out an article where a "detective" had comprised a list of "key suspects." London was on the list.

Now, I thoroughly dislike the Bleacher Report, but, perhaps, there is some credence to one of their writers' alleged claim that London had been planned to be the culprit.

Anyhow, regardless, Vince wanting the locker room to be morose and serious, for an angle where no character should have had any knowledge of the explosion, is a bit silly. London smiling, seemingly to simply smile at his boss, makes a lot more sense. Shit, the entire locker room should have been behaving in a much more normal fashion.

I have noticed this, hopefully, transition period for WWE. I think I mentioned this before, but having so many good workers on their roster must influence how wrestlers and road agents book matches. Plus, having Arn, Dean, and Mike Rotunda as road agents (or in WWE, "producers") must help us get better wrestling.

I find it interesting to see just how many second, or third, generation wrestlers are in queue for, at least, a short main roster appearance. The Anoa'i, Rotunda, Brisco, DiBiase, Colon, Steamboat, and Fifita families all have sons on the developmental roster.

Then, you have Tyler Black, Brodus Clay, and Byron Saxton, who I think could have decent careers in the E. I think most of us are familiar with Tyler Black and his ROH work. I'm not too fond of his mic work, but his skill in speaking is good enough to get him somewhere. Brodus Clay is a decent speaker, but what makes him intriguing is how he works. He's a big dude, at 6-feet 8-inches, and uses a lot of suplexes. (He made use of a bridging German in one of his FCW matches. Impressive.) Byron Saxton handles himself like a baby Rock. He doesn't have the same high-intensity swagger of Rock, but, if cultivated, Saxton could be very useful in the future--and his in-ring work is surprisingly decent, too.

Thinking about WWE developmental brought up memories of Teddy Hart and Sonny Siaki. Has anyone been more self-destructive towards their placement on a WWE roster than Teddy Hart? Guy had an easy in into the company, and he just couldn't control himself.

I made fun of him at the time, but, in retrospect, I think Siaki still had a lot more to give to the pro wrestling world. I re-watched some of his matches, and love his arsenal of moves. His delivery is reminiscent to Michael Modest or Dean Malenko. That type of crisp, vicious snap motion. I absolutely respect, and admire, him for choosing to end his career to save his brother's life.

I also remember downloading All-Pro Wrestling matches, in the late-1990s, of Donovan Morgan, Michael Modest, "Shooter" Tony Jones, Low Ki, Christopher Daniels, Bryan Danielson, Brian Kendrick, and Samoa Joe. Good times. I don't know if it's still out on the Internet, but the match that lead me to buying tapes, then later, DVDs, of pro wrestling outside of WCW, ECW, and, then, WWF, was Christopher Daniels versus Suicide Kid from All Pro Wrestling.
