The Darkness - Gen Discussion & Info

wow..no one has posted inthis thread in a while...anyways...I picked this up from GS using the 25% off coupon and figured I couldn't go wrong for $16. I liked the game a lot overall but towards the end (after the 2nd time in hell) i started getting confused about what was suppossed to be happening with Jackie and the Darkness and who was in control of who, etc. I was also very annoyed that even though I had Darkness maxed out and I was technically a badass I could get shot 3 times and die. In the pause screen that had your inventory and stuff it states that the Darkness protects you or some crap but i was never really protected unless the darkness stops the first 2 bullets and the 3rd and 4th ones kill me...


anyways..I liked it a lot which is surprising to me because the demo totally turned me off to it to begin with

yeah...a lot of the unlockables are the comics which you can read

If nobody mentioned it yet, there was a hint at Comic-Con that a sequel is in the works.
 
good I liked this one I'm looking forward to a sequel hopefully with a bit more meat to the single player. Also a better multiplayer I heard multi was kinda meh in this one never did it personally.

I just finished up the Darkness single player and wanted to play online. Only problem is, the only people on were my friend and I. After a while, we found a couple other people and I gotta say, CTF was pretty fun. I was wondering if any CAGs wanted to play online?(CTF). I would like to get the online achievements but not in a cheap way. The game was pretty fun when it gets going. Anyone up for it?

You can also get this game from Gamestop for like $7 as part of their 50% off sale.
 
Grabbed this off Goozex last week and just powered through the last 3 chapters tonight.

Damn good game, probably an 8.5/10 for me. I loved the powers, added a nice twist on the FPS genre. Especially the creeping death, fun as hell to snake through buildings and kill everyone before you even go inside. Some wonky controls for it every once and a while along with the pretty poor enemy AI keep the score down a bit, but I had a lot of fun with it and definitely hope there is a sequel.
