Didn't know of a new Wal-Mart. I'm actually transferring (or trying to) another target for the moment (and hoping to get out of being cart attendant in the process). Hanover is actually opening a new Target as well. Late July I think is the planned opening date.

Not sure what all they're building, but it sounds like to me most if not all of this shopping center is going to be new. Not sure the exact road it'll all be on but it's between 194 and 94.

I get that. But for me, it was for 1-2 weeks (during which I was sitting around the house wasting vacation time wanting to play my new console online), so as my introductory to a paid online component, it wasn't a great first impression.

And while I may not have liked Undertow after playing it, at least I didn't own it and at least Microsoft tried. They gave a free download of a game which was released around Thanksgiving '07, so a lot less people had that in Feb '08 when it was given out. The game might not have been very good, but the gesture was in the right place.

I probably would. But I probably would've been okay with a digital version of God of War Collection, even though I own it... I like those games so much that I might've been a little put off by the fact that I owned em, but at least I could trade my physical disc in or something. Also, I'm sure there's other games they could have given out that were newer and maybe hadn't been out for 2-3 years so everyone probably has them, as Trakan mentions.

The best way to make everyone happy would have been to offer the "download 2 of these titles or take a $15 PSN store credit". You might not get as much value (say the two downloads added up to $60 worth of purchases you didn't own), but at least you'd get something you could play and actually receive compensation.

Right now, the only thing I can do, besides contact Sony as Eviltude did to see if they'll do something for people who own almost everything offered, is possibly consider downloading WipEoutHD for the fury expansion I don't have or SSHD if it has all the expansions included.

Yes, you can. And he can use his account to get another of the 2 games.
Just remember, you need to have open system sharing slots on your account (and if I recall correctly, you had your initial 80gb, your second 80gb, and [potentially] my system on your account already... which means you'd have 2 other PS3s to share with... if your brother was already on the list of consoles you shared with or you have the open slots, no worries though).

Just had an interview at Lexmark. One of the person's office we went in was basically the exact office in Brazil. It was seriously only 6 ft wide with desk that could have easily been halfway through the wall.
 
So if I were to buy a PS3 now, would I be able to get the free game? Or is it just for people who had a PS3 when the service was down. Point is, If I could get $100 of a PS3 (I have the GS coupon... really works out to a bit less then $100 off due to tax) *and* get a free game I've never played, that makes it a bit more appealing. Still, not sure I really need a PS3.

It's only if your account was registered before April 20th.

Also I just noticed, the gamestop nascar car is parked at the gamestop right across from my work's place. It's like no one cares because no one is there :lol:

I only had the one BC PS3 that I sold after it went unused after God of War 3.

My brother was on my account so he could get the Modern Warfare 2 map packs.

And I might have shared the map packs with flowery or rock_88, but I can't remember.

Didn't you have an initial ps3 80gb that died within a week and you didn't deactivate so you couldn't get r:qfb back?
Either way, sounds like you should be good to get free games for your brother.
 
Already on disc 2 of L.A. Noire. Fun game but hopefully the street crimes improve as you go along because so far they are lackluster. Just seems like filler gameplay so you have someone to shoot between cases.

Is the game really that short? I recall reading a post earlier today that somebody already beat the game. Kind of a bummer if that's true.

At least the one nice thing is, on my birthday last month, I got a $100 giftcard. I bought Portal 2 and LA Noire on day 1 plus Kirby's Epic Yarn and I still have $60 in gift cards / RZ certificates (plus another $10 on the way from the LA Noire deal).

Our tuition increases were 20% from 09-10 to 10-11, an additional 5% for Spring 11, and now an additional 10% for 11-12. I have one semester left, two classes and an internship. I found the internship, I registered for classes, and I found out that they only awarded aid (which I've gotten every semester I've been in school) to families with expected contributions of $0 (1500 students out of 33,000). Absolutely ridiculous.

It is currently $1480 to take two classes but $2400 to take three. I literally can't afford to graduate.

I'm currently taking 3 classes and my tuition for the semester was $3400. Mind you I live in the commonwealth of Virginia.

So it's not really a long game even tough it's on 3 discs.
 
In that case...15-20 hours isn't terribly short. Not sure what's up with the 3 disc thing then, but whatever. I guess I just forget that some people actually don't have to work for a living and can play an rpg a day.

Also, I just bought Brink (PS3) used at gohastings for $34.99 including shipping with coupon code MAY7FOMPTQ8. Apparently it was only good today (Wednesday) and I caught it just in time, otherwise I would have posted it earlier. It said in the email it was only good for previous customers. I don't know if they guarantee used games to be complete, but I couldn't pass it up at that price.

Edit: Wow, AT&T site "Maintenance in Progress" just before I was able to place the final order. Hopefully I can get in on it in the morning before everyone snatches them up, but I doubt it. Still, thanks ugamer.

One more 11 hour day of school, then I'm likely stuck spending all day Friday doing homework/studying.

The new Beastie Boys album is killer.

And even though I never made it to the order confirmation page on that AT&T usb net adapter last night, I got the confirmation email this morning. Thanks again for free stuff I will likely attempt to sell before I ever open it, Ugamer.
 
2 1/2 more days of work, then 3 days off so I can try and get most of my shit packed. Going to be a FUN couple days.
