I've watched every episode of ECW (despite one that was caused by a power outage here) and this is the first time I've turned off the show. I'm tired of Punk losing. He loses like ALL THE TIME! Most of them clean as well. Like him or not, why the hell would you destroy your MITB winner? Oh yea, it's WWE.
You have a point. Kennedy was like that for a while except he was injured at the time which made more since. I though raw was decent. I enjoyed tna sacrifice. The only thing I really hated about that was how Angelina Love didn't get her head shave when she should have for screwing over Roxxi Laveaux.

Yea, I mean, he doesn't have win ALL the time. A lot of time you can get over just as well by losing, but damn, he's like never protected. It's just annoying. You're also right on Mr. Kennedy as well. It's just insane. I remember reading a quote awhile back (you know how internet reports go) about how Punk had a "main event attitude" and they had to knock down his attitude. It's just sad how the more talented people seem to lose WAY more than people like Snitsky, Big Daddy V, and Mark Henry. Don't go calling me Michael Hayes over that comment either!

As for TNA, I can't really get into it as much since they have the insane booking I think I may have ever seen. Period. Plus what's the deal with them always scalping the bald peoples?

Not bad.

I can't do it. I want to, but with all the blurring and video editing, stuff from the good Attitude era is unwatchable.

If only McMahon had coughed up some money to the WWF so that they wouldn't have to spend oodles more money making their video footage look like shit.

Kurt Angle is INSANE. I love the guy but he needs to stop. NOW. Guy is gonna be so messed up in 10 years. He's gotta think about his family.

Good choices.

Next time pick up Good Times, Great Memories and Fifth Year Festival: Finale.

Briscoe vs. Briscoe and Briscoes vs. MCMG are both were seeing.

I'm watching SOH3 in pieces as I go.
I'd rather see Punk lose all the time, than win all the time. He was like ECW's version of John Cena.
He only wins against the lower tier guys. Put him in with any upper card guys and he gets his ass handed to him. Just watch his matches with Edge and Randy Orton.

Wasn't really a choice.

A guy was selling the ones I bought along with Joe vs. Punk II, Joe vs. Kobashi, The 100th Show and sadly, those three were already sold to other people before I decided to pull the trigger.

How you digging SOH3 so far?

- edit How often does RoH put DVDs on Ebay? I remember you posted a link with alot of cheap DVDs and now they don't have any up.

Well, that's understandable. I just didn't like how guys like Elijah Burke and John Morrison (at least after his suspension), etc. were fed to him, when it should've been the other way around. People are still going to cheer for CM Punk regardless of whether he wins or loses, anyway.

His matches are quite boring and predictable. He'll throw a kick here and there, usually get his ass handed to him for most of the match, then out of nowhere bust out with the knee to the face/bulldog/GTS-combo to finish it.

HOLY SHIT!!! The Miz beat him cleanly. I can't believe my eyes. I was CERTAIN that Punk would win (which is why I felt the need to type the previous sentence). God bless America.

the fact that he is talking about only taking one month off for a broken neck is fucking retarded, i have a hard time feelind sorry for someone who blatantly doesnt give two shits about their health. same things gonna happen, he will most likely wait til he is about 60% then come back then in a year or two, he will injure himself again and continue this cycle til one of three things happens.

1. he dies
2. he paralyzes himself
3. someone steps in and FINALLY talks some sense into that crazy mother fucker

I cannot say I have ever been a fan of CM Punk. However, I found him more likable/tolerable on the independent scene just because he made for a solid heel. I could spend the next few minutes elaborating how I dislike his half-assed, hodgepodge style, but I'll be a little constructive: CM Punk needs more mic time. One thing good about Punk is that he's an entertaining personality who can talk. So yeah, more mic time. Chop chop.

Am I the only person that doesn't give 2 shits about Collin Delany (sp?). Seems like he has been on every ECW show for months and a couple RAW/Smackdowns. He gets more damn air time then half the roster it seems.

That being said the ECW show was really good and got me to really be interested in the Miz/Morrison vs. Punk/Kane match. I really hope Miz and Morrison get a big push and get moved to either RAW or Smackdown soon.

Eh, I see what they're doing with him in trying to recreate a Mikey Whipwreck/1-2-3 Kid sort of thing. I like 'loser goes over the established star' persona - except while that's what Kid did, and what Whipwreck did, I don't know that Colin Delany has pinned anyone except for Estrada - not even a wrestler, but a manager.

So they've kinda fucked up the whole generic script for this guy already. Whipwreck and Kid somehow, amazingly, beat the guys they wrestled. Delaney only pinned one manager once. He's not a loser with a lucky streak, he's a loser.

I don't see this guy panning out into what those two became.

Then again, I haven't watched ECW in quite some time, so I may be totally off on this whole thing.

I took a liking to him after awhile afer I realized they were booking him as new-age Mikey Whipwreck.

I missed ECW last night because I was hanging with my friends, but from the sounds of things it was a good show.

Putting the 1-2-3 Kid worked for me when I was younger because he was still being televised on the indies they'd show at 4PM every afternoon on ESPN (whatever promotion used to always have a "RENEGADES" chewing tobacco ring mat) - as "Lightning Kid," "Kamikaze Kid" - always something different.

So when I saw him on Raw a few times, I thought "oh, here's the guy who loses the match." Then he suddenly pinned Razor Ramon, a guy I had just begun to take a severe liking to. YOU CAN'T PIN MY GUY! JERK!

So, it worked in the opposite way. Man, that was SO long ago. It's incredibly hard to look at 1-2-3 Kid and think that that scrappy little fuck would become X-Pac. He looks so nerdy and wholesome, rather than a lousy heel, pervert, porn star, and perpetual fuckup.

i like miz and morrison too, but if they get moved to raw they are just going to be overshadowed and moving them to SD would be rather pointless with the open talent exchange between the two shows. yeah as a whole, i dont think wwe really thought that through cause now if anyone gets traded between SD and ECW in the next draft its just going to be pointless.

Punk has gotten a push because he's the only guy that doesn't do any drugs. Other than that, he's been the only ECW guy on the show that's actually been any kind of draw.

$10 Dollar Sale at ROH later today.

It's occasional. Like they'll throw up a bunch and then stop. They don't advertise it since they make less money on Ebay.

For other people selling ROH here is a link for everyone.
Has a draft been confirmed for this year? I haven't heard anything about one yet.
There's been no such announcement that I'm aware of. I think people just assumed the draft would be an annual thing, but I don't think it's ever been officially hyped as such.

Just caught RAW and I thought it was interesting how direct they were with the Jeff Hardy issue. I mean yeah they didn't get specific, but acknowledging a "mistake" like that is usually more of a WWE.com thing, and not usually brought up on TV in any way. Combine this public apology of sorts with a win over Umaga, and perhaps it won't be too bad of a doghouse for Jeff? (probably shouldn't use the word "doghouse" around Jeff these days)

This also comes hot off the heels of Santino's DUI being used in an on-screen joke. Weird!

And WWE continues their obsession with breaking up tag teams. The Cade & Murdoch team was actually getting interesting! Oh well. It really is ludicrous that they have TWO sets of tag-team belts.

New Botchamania is up with tons of WM screw ups and Adamle fucking up his first PPV at Backlash.

Apparently now you need to install "Microsoft Silverlight" to watch ECW on WWE.com. So much for watching it while I'm at work (don't have administrative priviledges). Maybe I'll download a torrent at home and watch it here tomorrow.

Now - comments for the right thread:

Watching WCW Slamboree 2000 on WWE 24/7. Two matches in, and this is by far the worst wrestling show I've ever seen.

And David Arquette is going into the triple cage match main event as WCW champion.

Holy fucking cow. People who bitch about Big Dick Johnson (and I agree with y'all) fail to realize that Ralphus was just as bad.
New Botchamania is up with tons of WM screw ups and Adamle fucking up his first PPV at Backlash.
The Flux Capacitor is one ugly move. Has Frankie ever properly performed that move? Every time I see him do it, it looks like a botch. :whistle2:#
Holy shit at Chase bringing up Chris Bosh. Awesome.
I looooooove(d) Chris Bosh. He needs to return.
Damn you, Zen. Now I miss Bosh too.
Welcome to the club! Hahaha...

At least Ralphus wore more clothing and was a protege of Jericho. That's about it, in regards to good things about Ralphus, but it's enough.

And Prince Iaukea should have been fired long before his TAFKAPI days.
i like miz and morrison too, but if they get moved to raw they are just going to be overshadowed and moving them to SD would be rather pointless with the open talent exchange between the two shows. yeah as a whole, i dont think wwe really thought that through cause now if anyone gets traded between SD and ECW in the next draft its just going to be pointless.
I see what you mean, but hardly anyone watches ECW so keeping them there basically buries them. I'd like to see them both move up. I feel like they do the cocky asshole gimmick really well, better then most of the other WWE heels at the moment in fact.

I agree 100%. He basically just goes out there and gets his ass kicked almost 100% of the time. Then every blue moon he will get a fluke win. It just doesn't do it for me.

I refuse to give The Miz any attention or praise based on his MTV roots. At very least Morrison attended pro-wrestling school before his Tough Enough days, so, for that, I can allow myself to praise Morrison. Mizanin is basically your run-of-the-mill egotistical drunken frat boy idiot who used MTV to showcase his idiocy which lead to his WWE career. I will never mind Mizanin. There are many other pro-wrestlers who deserve more attention than The Miz.

I don't know how much truth there is to this story, but there's a federation/school in Cleveland called Cleveland All-Pro that used to hold open tryouts on a pretty regular basis. A lot of the local Cleveland guys got starts there (M-Dogg 20, Josh Prohibition, JT Lightning, etc.), and the story goes that Mike showed up for a tryout a few years ago (just after Real World), but was asked to leave after he accidentally potatoed one of their trainers with an elbow trying to show them what he knew.

I haven't read the thread since I was out of town for 2 days and don't want anything (namely ECW) spoiled, but I had to comment on this.

As someone who enjoys almost any wrestling, that Greg Gagne match that just aired on AWA was the biggest mess I've ever seen. There was th match itself, followed by the announcers (who seemed surprised by the replay) reaffirming that, yes, there was a three count, when Gagne's opponent clearly had his shoulder up after 2.

I would not be surprised, JJ. Not surprised in the least. #-o

I am also not surprised in the least. I know he's a fan favorite, but he's a pro-wrestling "Hak." This is an unpopular opinion, I know, and have known for all the years I have said it, but he's a mediocre brawler. Replace his entrance, and he loses his glamor.

*flees*

Today's AWA show had an ungodly boring match between the Baron and Adnan, with a nerve hold sequence that felt like it went on forever, in a match that seemingly went on for five hours AND WAS JOINED IN PROGRESS with the most unexcited commentator in the history of the planet Earth trying to put over the ill-effects of a nerve hold we can't see because of the shitty camera work. Oh, and after hyping up a Bad Company-Rockers title match, they showed the same non-title match that they showed the other day.

Today's show was highlighted by Donna stating that the AWA crew has worse penmanship than a 13 year old with English as a second language, Greg Gagne pinning a foe with a two count via a dropkick, which was only more clear thanks to the slow-motion instant replay, a Ricky Morton promo where he said he'd love to chat, but he had to go fuck three chicks, and the Baron singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" while threatening to pound in skulls with a baseball bat.
Greg Gagne pinning a foe with a two count via a dropkick
heh, the last time I recall seeing a guy get pinned with a dropkick was when Bob Holly beat DDP with it on an episode of Smackdown.

Just a general observation: a lot of videos have been taken off YouTube. For instance, I couldn't even find the Chris Bosh dick punch video I favorited a while ago. Also, many matches I forgot to rip off YouTube are also gone. Still around, though? Old American Idol clips. Very strange.
