I guess I should have clarified it a bit. I know it was expensive for me when I moved out there. Then again, I moved from Alabama where I paid less than $350 for rent right next to campus.
$350! Good lord.
If it's as simple as you put it, not hard at all. Need some services?
The picture has squiggly lines, and it'll have transparency, more than likely, if that changes anything.

It's for a new avatar, but I haven't decided on it just yet. I'll let you know if I do though; thanks for offering. :)

But yeah, for a poor college student, I suppose almost anywhere would be pricey.
I like individual diving better, they go nuts on that.
Italy's got a guy who's going to pull out the triple lindy.

:whee: haven't seen that since the 80s.

Ya apartments here start at 900-1000 for a studio, about 1500 for a 1BR, and well over 2k for a 2BR.

On-campus is about 1.2k/month.

I'm gonna have to look at apartments next year. I don't think I could do dorms two years in a row, and there's no way in hell that I'm living at home.

That's bat crazy. I pay about $900 to live way out there in NW Austin (about 20 minutes from UT). I could live like a king in Auburn for $900.
I wouldn't say that. Quick google search yielded this: http://austin.about.com/od/localstatistics/a/costofliving.htm
It's probably more than SA, but relatively, it's not super expensive.

Yeah, debt stinks. =/

It really depends on what your going into though. Medical students are usually ~$100k in the hole when they graduate, but they get paid a shitload, so they're alright. Less employable majors can have trouble with debt though.
As long as you can get a good job with whatever you want to do (what do you want to do, by the way?), you should be alright in the long run.
Architecture, probably. I've only really taken care of Mickey Mouse general stuff so far because I've been afraid to commit to something. The thing is my parents can help me out with room and board here but I'm all on my own in Austin. Depending on how this year goes I might just suck it up if I can save up enough money, the independence and that environment would probably be worth it. Plus I think I'd be better off settling down there too, the job market has got to be significantly better there for that field than here.

We should move in together, Liquid 2. It'll be as awkward as that darthbudge meetup 24/7.

Ouch.
I'll have to upload pictures of my current place for you guys to see what 950 will get you in downtown Boston.
I like how CAG's only game designer is bitching in the Soulcalibur 4 thread about people not be hardcore gaming artists.

Because everybody has to spend their entire day designing their character, then the next 2 days practicing 24/7.
Why do these ladies shower after they get out of the pool?

Is there a ton of chlorine or something?
that and when you're swimming, you work up an incredible sweat but because you're in a pool your body can't cool itself by evaporation so your body has a hard time adjusting temperature. when you get out, you take a cool shower while helps your body temp go back down. combined with the wonderful effects of long-term exposure to high levels of chlorine....

I see. Architecture can be pretty sick, if you want it to be.

We can take a picture a day.
Ah, I got an even better one. Diving from 100 feet into shallow water. Water is let out of the tub between each round of dives until one final winner is left standing.

Did I hear this gymnasts's name was Chun Li?

Also, this announcer is trying WAY too hard to convince us these girls are 16...
Weren't they having to test their own athletes genders? Gotta figure they don't know what their ages actually are.
