The gameplay in GGT #93 is awesome, but the story kinda sucks.

I have Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety for Genny for sale. :D

I've been looking to try and figure out what this logo is for about an hour and a half now and its fucking killing me. Things I'm brainstorming a brain, blue, red, maybe a bolt down the middle of the brain, maybe some white, maybe no headphones. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.

I've decided I don't like this hypocrisy essay. I want to do the one showing 3 events that show Jem's growing maturity and change his mood, but all I can think of is when he went back for his pants at the beginning of the novel and is all moody for a week. fuck

Jesus finally. Were you planning on picking up Maximum Carnage for Sega because I'm willing to ship it out for free to you for relieving me of that pain. Free game + free shipping.

Listening to At the Drive in while I do this bullshit essay. Forgot I had In Casino Out. Great cd.

I'd say that's a pretty good deal azu.

Hell yeah its a good deal. IF the in-ear headphones can SOMEHOW fit in your ear, they sound pretty nice. Ipod Touch =best evar. Wow, I can't believe I've almost had mine for a year! I pre-ordered it waaaaaaay back when.

I meant your video card lol.

And I found out it had 25 dollar shipping. Still not to bad for 200 bucks. Just gotta sell my shit.

BAHAHAHAHA. Thats funny.
So is it a legit video card? Will it be able to rock out to madness like Crysis? I mean, I'd upgrade that RAM first, but I already have a 3.2GHZ processor.
Is there a site I can go to that will tell me all my PC specs so I can share them with you guys so you can tell me how I can play cool gamez?

Happy October 11th!
Haha, thanks DarthPuma!

SPECS:
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs)
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 6800(I know, its funny)
Memory: 1022 MB RAM
Direct X: 9.0
OS: Microsoft XP Professional

How much do I fail?

How long is Mercs 2? I thought someone said it was like 20 hours, but I just played it for a few missions here (maybe 45 minutes) and I'm 17% done already?

IGN might be legally retarded. Their World of Goo review:

Graphics - 9.5
Sensational graphic style and polished execution.

Also, I finished Rumbling Hearts today. HOLY SHIT so EMO! Great show though. But I can't remember I've seen something with so much emo crammed into it.

Rumbling Hearts can suck a D. I hate that show.

Took me 23 hours to do 70%. I didn't rush through, but I didn't take my time. Also I wanna give you viral cheezmint!

Yeah! I need to hit the hay though. Maybe we can find sometime tomorrow?

The pace must really slow down along the way. I just did the second mission for UP and I'm at 17%, unless that number in the save is something different.

there's a difference between graphics and style. they're both visual, but one is more focused than the other.

Yeah, I saw that 9.5 review, and was like "there's no way."

I mean, seriously, that screenshot is the most retarded looking shit since Facebreakers. And that was the stupidest looking shit ever.

Silent Hill Homecoming is great so far. The combat isn't complete shit this time around...and believe it or not, none of the tension is sacrificed for that, dmk. It's scary as shit regardless, thanks to the atmosphere.

I spent like 3 hours one night playing Tower of goo unlimited. Game had no objectives, just build a tower. I can see that mixed with goals being 9.5 worthy.

Yeah, I meant tomorrow too. King of the Hill rerun is on...so I couldn't play right now anyway.
SHH is good, but I don't find it scary. I haven't been scared by a game since Fatal Frame 2. I'm really hoping Dead Space can change that.
fatal frame 1 is still the creepiest gaming experience I've had. so much that I was a little too ready for FF2, I guess.

You know what baffles me to this day? That at its core, the original Half-Life was on the original Quake engine. Here's some fun nerdom about that:

What came first, the chicken or the egg? What is Half-Life built on, Quake 1 or Quake 2? These questions pop up pretty frequently, and neither seems to have an accepted answer. In an effort to extinguish the argument, I've asked the people who know best. About Half-Life, that is. We're not touching the question about the chicken.

Ken Birdwell explains it like this:
"It is fundamentally just a heavily modified Quake 1 engine. There are about 50 lines of code from the Quake 2 engine, mostly bugs fixes to hard problems that Carmack found and fixed before we ran into them."

At its core, it's a Quake 1 engine. You can tell this by comparing Half-life's map compiling tools with those shipped with Quake1. You'll find very minor differences—none of them are fundamental. The core rendering is architecturally identical to Quake1, the only "significant" change is removing the fixed palette, making map lighting RGB instead of 8 bit, and converting software rendering to be 16 bit color instead of 8 bit color, which was pretty easy and only required minor code changes. Our skeletal animation system is new, though it was heavily influenced by the existing model rendering code, as were a lot of our updated particle effects, though less so with our beam system. Decals are totally new, our audio system has some major additions to what already existed, and at ship time our networking was almost totally Quake1 / QuakeWorld networking but about a year later Yahn rewrote most of all of it to be very different in design. The most highly changed sections are the game logic; ours being written in C++ and Quake's being in written interpreted "Quake C". Our AI system is very very different from anything in Quake, and there's a lot of other significant architectural changes in the whole server and client implementations, though if you look hard enough you can find a few remnants of some nearly unmodified Quake1 era entities buried in places.

Jay Stelly adds, "We also took PAS from QW and/or Q2 and a couple of other minor routines I can remember (no more than 100-200 lines of code there). There was some feature overlap (as Ken mentions) like game code DLLs and colored lighting, but we developed our own solutions to those independent of Q2."

So there it is. This should put some arguments to rest. Half-Life is based on Quake 1, although it has a very small amount of Quake 2 code. Yahn notes that "we did use some of the winsock functions from Q2, that's about it. Probably more than 50 lines, but nothing too interesting."

The thing with FF2 and me is that I have a twin sister. The whole story behind that game fucked with me, and disturbed me quite a bit.

Shit son, that sounds like a normal day in my life. I'm always keeping shit real at my house.

I'll be in my school girl outfit, to make things authentic.

and what the hell is up with that game Ninja Blade? who keeps giving money to From Software? it's like they're trying to top GoW for most QTEs and Oneechanbara for enemies who take the longest to do anything.

I remember having to VooDoo II cards slapped together to play Quake on Maxed settings. I bet my calculator could run it on max settings.

that reminds me, that game is bc. I gotta finish it!

Anyone have a link to the witcher demo? I wanna see if I like it before I order it.

Damn, Have Heart is a kickass fucking bad. Generally not a fan of hardcore, but they're damn good.

Got 3 paragraphs of my essay done. Going to wait and see if I can do the court system in the 1930's as my third hypocritical character in the morning. It's not great, but I'm sure it's better than some of the others in my class.

I've been dabbling into Final Fantasy IV on the DS today...maybe 15 minutes. Probably the hardest RPG I've ever played. This is above the SFC FFIV difficulty, for sure, and it's kinda making me dislike it.

Low amount of gil being handed out (like...I've gotten maybe 200 gil from enemies all game; 440 came from a single chest), OHKO's up the arse are a major pain as well. Oh, and did I mention I'm only 75 minutes into the game?

Holy crap! :whee:

I just won $3000 from a scratch-off lotto ticket this morning. Seriously. And I haven't bought one of these in 3-4 years. Just on a whim this morning at the gas station I told the clerk to give me 3 of the Halloween-themed $1 scratch-off tickets to even up my total. Got in the car and started scratching. First two, nothing. Then on the third one, I hit for 3 grand.

Celebration time! \\:D/I ain't gotta worry about the price of games at all this month!!! Hahaha!! What a great ending to a crappy week.:bouncy:
@Chibi_Kaji- Not in a gaming mood, eh? That sounds like you want to buy Samurai 7 from me :)

Sorry, I was in the mood for some crazy girls with guns and picked up Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage vol 1 and the 2nd vol of the manga instead.

I wasn't a big fun of Rumbling Hearts. Mostly because I never liked the main character at all. Yet I still picked up the boxset when it came out. With that said I still would like to get my hands on the game one day... but that will never happen.
that reminds me, that game is bc. I gotta finish it!
Same here, But I have to finish up 1st....

Ok, but they just said the game has great style, while the trailer portrays a hideous style.
