How many copies of a game can I trade in?
​You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.
 
What do I need to trade in an older console?
The console, power cable, av cable, and controller. Sometimes they don't care about USB charge cable but ymmv. 3DS XL trade would be console, charger, and stylus. Some have reported being charged a refurb fee for missing the stylus, but again ymmv (answer stolen from anarchyburger)

Does the Pro Membership B2G1 coupon apply to only games, or accessories as well?
The coupon applies to both games and accessories, per the wording on the coupon.
 
I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).
 
 
TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free. Typically refers to the coupon you receive when becoming Pro.
GCU/BB: Gamer’s Club Unlocked, Best Buy
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

I'm really hoping for something similar to the 4 for $40 sale but with their $19.99 games. $17.99 and under doesn't give me enough options... or savings. :p

Yeah 4 for $40 would be nice. I've only seen it once though. A 3 for $25 would be fine. Anything that applies to more than just $9.99 games would make me happy.

 
Officially 3 for $25 ($14.99 and under) Anyone got some suggestions on good combos for Wii U / exception Wii games? :) I got a Wii U on the way!

 
Is there any instant flips we can pull off with the 3 for $25 with the $5 bonus still active? Sunday is the only day they overlap

Xenoblade Chronicles X is. It depends on which version of Bayonetta 2 you want. The one with Bayonetta 1 included is $19.99, while the one with only Bayonetta 2 is $9.99. Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, DKC Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker are some other Wii U games at the $14.99 price point.

One thing I would point out, if you buy any of those. Check the discs before leaving the store. As I've bought multiple Wii U games from GS in the last few weeks, get home to find they have label damage and none have worked. Don't know if it's ones from the warehouse or just people not taking care of their games.

Welp the 2 for $5 figure sale seems like a fail already. Doesn't apply online and everything is already reserved or sold out in store. Also have $50 in my kart and am being charged $10 shipping. Sigh

Yeah, despite being Elite, it's not giving me free shipping until I hit $50, which is annoying. I'm going to have to add random things to get there because there's only a few figures I want. Then I think, why am I getting these in the first place?

According to Twitter the 2 for $5 is an employee only discount. How tf can they advertise that online and not honor it? I wonder what in store signage says.
 
Was also told employees only on the 2 for $5 signage said $5 each at my store.

Still got the Fornite 4 pack of figures for $5 the other four pack still was $40.

With this promo, PUR Pro changing for the worst, Game Informer dying, removal of gift card purchases and the new website being hard to search on, it's like Gamestop wants to go out of business.

giving a better deal to those that work for them, trying to increase foot traffic in stores, killing off a form of dead media, a simplistic website geared toward their target demographic? yeah, really sounds like a company giving up.

I don't think the 2/$5 figures is an in-store deal.  Just went to one and not only was there not any signage, but a figure that I knew was listed online wasn't even marked down to $5, let alone 2/$5.  And not much else in the way of figures was marked down at all.

Looks like they fixed the inventory problem, at least on the website. It definitely was messed up for a while after the site updated.
 
I got some good shit for $5 last night. It would've been cool if they were 2 for $5 but $5 for $19.99-$37.99 items is good enough for me.

I'm honestly not sure how they can deny it when the website banner STILL has 2 for $5 plastered on it. It's just blatant false advertising at this point. Going to pick up a few figures today, maybe they'll be nice and hook me up.

They didn't at my store. Said it was for employees only. The website was a mistake

 
Went to my store and was surprised to see a bunch of figures for $5 that were not showing up in stock on the website. Doubles of different figures. This store is not a big store either.
Also they said they were only applying it to anything with a clearance tag. I didn't question it or ask about the online price because I had found enough with clearance tags

They fixed it. There's no banner for it now. That was pretty quick for them. I'm liking their new changes.

I went to trade in some games today and they had the 3 for $25 sign up. Was going to look at $14.99 games, but there was a family with about 5 kids running around everywhere so I just left.
